Bahia Vik José Ignacio is located next to the chic beach village of José Ignacio, just 12 miles (20 kilometers) northeast of Punta del Este. The charming locale is renowned for its expansive pristine beaches, rugged landscape, excepcional sunset, and relaxed bohemian style. Bahia Vik spans ten acres (4 hectares) of beach dunes on the Mansa Beach in José Ignacio, facing west with sweeping views across the Southern Atlantic Ocean and Playa Mansa towards Punta del Este.
It spans ten acres of beach dunes on the peninsula in José Ignacio. Bahia Vik reflects contemporary beach living, with seamless flow between indoors and outdoors inspired by art and Vik luxury. Celebrating the ambiance of its chic locale, Bahia Vik consists of fifteen uniquely designed bungalows tucked into the beach dunes, with one central building around which retreat living revolves. Artist involvement is again an important focus at Bahia, where a wide range of contemporary Uruguayan and international artists collaborated with Alex and Carrie Vik and Marcelo Daglio to create site-specific installations for many spaces. In addition, a variety of other art was added.

DINING: the contemporary bistro, Zodiaco, was inspired by Uruguayan renowned artist and colorist, Carlos Musso, whose striking ceiling murals command the attention of diners through his mystical depiction of muses, stars and the zodiac. Guests will enjoy a set menu by Executive Chef Marcelo Betancourt and team featuring a range of refined, contemporary and creative dishes, full of flavors and always using the freshest ingredients of the day, including Uruguay’s grass fed meats, the freshest fish and seafood, and organic vegetables and fruits from Estancia Vik and our local purveyors. Open to the public by reservation. Opening hours: 1pm - 4pm and 8pm - 11pm.
