Myself and my husband were married in November last year, and we had our reception in the Woodenbridge Hotel. We were incredibly impressed by the service and attention to detail that we experienced there. My husband's family travelled from America to be at the wedding and said they felt the hotel had a wonderful, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel also catered for the special dietary needs of my husband and several family members (they are coeliacs) without batting an eyelid. We had such a memorable time staying at the Woodenbridge that we returned there a couple of weeks ago, for our one year anniversary. We experienced the same high level of service and welcoming atmosphere and one of the staff even remembered that we had had our wedding reception there! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We went as a group of 14 and had a very enjoyable week-end, which was ensured by the friendly and very helpful staff. The entertainment on the Saturday night, "Carmel" was excellent. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Found the reception area in the lodge not to be very welcoming in its ambience, Staff were very helpful and willing to help with queries. Decor in bedrooms could be upgraded and room was cold when heating was not on. Food in the bar was wonderful and great value for money, breakfast was also delighful and cooked fresh as requested. Will return to this hotel and area in the comming year.

I found the hotel to be homely and comfortable. The room was basic but had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The scenery was fantastic and there was a nice atmosphere around the hotel. I would definitely visit again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel.

First impressions count! The young man on reception was brilliant. Not only did he have a pleasant manner, he offered up solutions to some minor problems I had without me even asking. Apart from that the hotel was great.

Very pleasant and convenient location. Room in The Lodge satisfactory. All staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts excellent. For dinner, the menu did not significantly change during the 5 days we were staying, which was very disappointing. The food and service were good, although the food portions were too large. Smaller portions and more choice required!

We stayed at the Lodge. We had requested a balcony room but did not get one and apparently they had been booked months in advance. Would have been nice to have the option in those circumstances of deciding whether we stayed at the main hotel or in the lodge. The Woodenbridge shouldn't assume that all customers are incontinent! Having a plastic sheet on top of the matress really does make an uncomfortable nights sleep - especially in summer!! Again because it was the Lodge and near the river and trees the bedroom could have been more cheerful - it was a bit gloomy. The wonderful thing about Woodenbridge is its setting in wonderful Wicklow countryside. The breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. We ate in the bar one evening and found the food there good as well.

Unfortunately my 83 year old mother had great difficulty using the stairs. There was no lift to her bedroom. Perhaps customers ought to be made aware of this before booking. Otherwise our experience was very pleasant.

Staff were very helpful and the rooms comfortable. My only concern was that the hairdryer and tv in my room didn't work. Fortunately it wasn't a problem as our group had brought hairdryers and for the one night the tv wasn't required. Breakfast was fine.
