comments room was small and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We asked to be changed to a bigger room which was much more comfortable for our 2nd night's stay. Service in the dining room was appalling. We booked a table for 7.30 and were served our main course at 9 pm. The beef was tough and could not be eaten. The vegetables were raw and we only got a scoop of potatoes, approx. 6 slices of carrot and 3 sprigs of brocolli for two of us. We did intend to stay an extra night but having endured one meal in the dining room we felt could not face another one in the same week-end. The only 2 things that could be said in favour of the hotel was that the food served in the bar was excellent and the staff were very helpful.
