comments I went to Brooklodge with my sister in October and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.It's a wonderful place to get away from it all and really relax.The spa was fantastic.We were lucky that they were doing a 'half price on all treatments' offer at the time.Our meal in the Italian restaurant 'Armento' was great too.We felt we got great value for money overall.I will definately be back.

comments The ambience of Brooklodge is wonderful, open fires, soft comfortable couches in the bar, table service. Its a very relaxing experience. The staff are very attentive. The food in The Strawberry Tree is the out of this world, the best I have had in Ireland. It is a real treat to stay here.

comments My wife and I spent one night at Brooklodge Hotel and we only have good things to say. The staff were very friendly and the hotel facilities such as the pool etc. was great. All we wanted to do was totally relax and it was exactly what we were looking for. We will be back!

comments We absolutely love staying in Brooklodge. I think Brooklodge is one of the most relaxing places in Ireland, whether its sitting on the big comfy couches in the bar with a glass of wine or down at the chill room in the spa. The food is fantastic, the staff are lovely and not to mention the porridge, it is the best in the world!

comments I've stayed in the Brooklodge a couple of times before, and as usual everything was great. The athmosphere was relaxed and the staff weren't in your face, but were on hand if anything was needed. There was a minor issue with the hot tap in the room and it was attended to immedietely and without fuss once I contacted reception.

comments Wonderful staff, really relaxing atmosphere and beautiful food. If I had to mention anything negative, I was slightly disappointed with the decor of the rooms but the shower was fantastic, and the complimentary bath salts a lovely touch. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. Looking forward to the pleasure of staying with you again and will be recommending Brooklodge and the Wells spa to my friends.

comments A very pleasant stay with wonderful food, beuatifully cooked and of course all organic. The golf course is a challenge if not using a buggy. (I was not!!)Played on my own first thing in the morning. Long walks and uphill climbs between green and tee.

comments Overall our experience at Brooklodge was very positive. There is a very restful atmosphere, the food was very good and the service was friendly and attentive. The only quibble I have is with the room. The sleigh beds are very picturesque but my husband, who is over 6ft, had a very unsettled night because of hitting his feet off the end of the bed. In addition the room was extremely warm but the only source of fresh air was the patio door which opened on to a communal patio area shared with at least two other rooms and overlooking the brook. Owing to the possibility of human or furry friends we didn't want to leave it open all night. I think this probably only applies to the ground floor rooms in BrookHall. Perhaps it could be addressed by providing a small opening panel in the fixed part of the glass door. The weather wasn't very kind when we were there so we couldn't undertake the nice walks in the area which was a pity.

comments We visited Brooklodge for our 6th wedding anniversary, which I mentioned once on the initial email (Nice room please). The response and care we received following this was very impressive and very walmly welcomed including room upgrade, card from all the staff and 'Happy Anniversary' on Desert plate. Other than the welcome, the rooms and grounds are beautiful, staff are very helpful We have not stopped recommending Brooklodge to our friends and will certainly be returning. The only fault I could find was mis-spelling my name....

comments Really enjoyed our stay, lovely local staff very friendly and helpful and the food was superb. Only small issue is we found the compilmentary products (shower gel etc) were in short supply offering enough for one person only!! (and we were in a suite were the bath is upstairs) there needs to be a set per person and I'd suggest another up by the bath. Thanks!

comments We experienced from all the staff a warm genuine and helpful attitude. Our meal in the Italian restaurant was delicious and the service professional and courteous. The pool area is very attractive in its design and has lovely areas to relax in. The outdoor hot tub is in a beautiful natural setting. When staying in a hotel I immediately look for a high standard of cleanliness. I found both the hotel and spa area spotless. We will definitely be returning as this hotel offers great value for my money.

But the real jewel is the dining experience. A well thought out menu with mouth watering options and very professional service with a smile.. comments The set menu in the Strawberry Tree is a little expensive. We ate in the Italian due to price. I had a mini facial and the girl was really lovely but I wanted to relax and did not want to talk. I usually have a mini facial in a salon near my home and they always wrap my feet in a warm towel (its a lovely addition to a facial) The receptionist should have asked us if we enjoyed our stay when we checked out. The experience overall v good. I found out about stables too late. You should ask your reception staff to inform clients at check in of all your facilities. We would love to go back some time. comments everything was perfect. especially the atmosphere, from check in to check out. great to be 'seated' for checking in. the italian restaurant and staff were the very best we have ever eexperienced in all our travels around the world. the place was so perfect, that the tiniest of things stood out if it was not of the same high standard. the only thing we could complaine about, if pushed to, was the amount of cigarette buys both outside our bedroom window, and clustered in areas on the pathway stone outside. we will definatly return.

comments This place has real character and a feeling of comfort and relaxation from the moment you arrive. A real authentic environment with a very beautiful setting. The staff are so helpful and their professionalism just makes it all seem so effortless - you won't be left standing at an empty reception desk waiting for service at any point during your stay. This hotel has plenty to offer for both the young and the not so young. This was our first visit but I know we will definately return.

comments My partner and i stayed with you on Thursday the 31/03/11 on the 24 hours of heaven package and we upgraded to a suite. We both agree that the whole experience was amazing from our spa treatments to dinner that evening in La traverna. The only issue we had and it was a very small one was that the batteries in the key board were dead,and it took a couple of phone calls and a bit of time to get it resolved, but i'm sure your staff were very busy. That small issue aside your entire staff are to be complimented for their work. Well done we will definitely be back

Our standard room was on the small side and room needs to be repainted. We got a good deal on the internet as I booked it a good few weeks in advance. If I had paid the online rate as of the week before I would have been very disappointed with the standard bedroom. Staff all very nice. Breakfast delicious and great selection available!

Brook Lodge is still a haven and quality retreat: we loved our lunch in the Waterside, and our evening meal at The Taverna Armento (my first meal there) was really enjoyable. As we were staying with two young babies, we appreciated the attentiveness of staff to our needs. If I had one less positive observation - the soft furnishings in Waterside and couches in Room 9 are starting to look a little worn...I look forward to returning again!!!

comments Myself and my husband stayed at Brooklodge Hotel on Saturday 19th February. Bad points 1. check in was a little messy, long queue with alot of people skipping the queue. however staff friendly when we spoke to them. 2. ate in actons pub, service slow, main course was nice, dessert not great, coffees luke warm. 3. specifically requested a quiet room in the hotel as i am a light sleeper. we were given room 34, there was a door banging beneath us until about 11pm (above restaurant i think). alot of guests passing our room late in the night, making alot of noise. guests in room next to us were singing! 4. Bed uncomfortable and pillows even more uncomfortable. 5. Breakfast was fine, have had better. Good points: 1. lovely setting. 2. staff overall were friendly and accommodating. Wouldnt return.

comments It was my 3rd time staying there but first time to use the spa, and I was slightly disappointed at the Thermal Suite, as they only consisted of a sauna and steam room. The staff were excepionally friendly and the restaurant was very nice for dinner. The breakfast was very nice too. The only other disappointment I had was the size of the double beds in the rooms, they were the smallest I have every seen in a hotel. We are two average size people but were unable to sleep comfortable in the one bed. This was very disappointing as Brooklodge has everything else that matters for a relaxing retreat, just a pity the beds aren't bigger.

comments We had a great time staying one night in Brooklodge with my boyfriend. The Thermal Suite was especially amazing experience and the staff was also very kind and helpful. We would recommend it to anyone who would like a quiet, peaceful, relaxing getaway.

Went on one of the assigned walks and witnessed the true beauty of Wicklow. A really relaxing and pleasurable stay at a really reasonable rate. Looking fwd to calling again.

comments I was a little dissapointed by the room we were given on this occasion it was right beside the spa which was good but the room itself seemed a little old, the bathroom especially needed some updating. Apart from this the hotel itself was very warm and welcoming with a homely feel as you walk in. The spa was excellent and the facilities were all very good.

comments Rooms where shabby, windows dirty and tables dusty. Staff where pleasant. Spa treatment was over priced, she cut the skin around my toe nails and I could have done a better French polish myself, blindfolded, however I did go back to the manager and she agreed and had it removed from my bill.

comments I was a little disappointed with my stay here, mainly with the room! I stayed in this hotel once before in Brook Hall but this time I was staying in the main building. I was expecting the rooms here to be better than the ones in the Hall but they weren't. Our room was v standard but also very warm! The bathroom was very small and the shower wasn't very good. The room also had a smoke smell. Aside from the room, the food in this hotel was fantastic. Our meal in the Strawberry Tree was delicious, though the service wasn't of the same standard. However breakfast the next morning was without fault - both food and service was excellent! I think for the cost of an overnight stay here the rooms are a little overpriced but the food is worth it.

comments The entrance to our room was almost blocked by the position of the wardrobe right inside the door. Also I expected that 2 bottles of water would be provided for guests; very surprising water not given. The room itself was the biggest disappointment however. The rates for B&B are too high also.

comments As usual the standard as as usual very high. However 2 points that i feel I should highlight. The music in the residents lounge after dinner was bland and very 3 star hotel / airport lounge ish! More importantly the bed was not good in terms of the matress was definitely past its sell by date. Not what we have come to expect from Brooklodge. I have booked in many times both in my own name and with Nissan Ireland, Chevrolet Ireland and Windsor Motors Bray and have not had this experience before. On a smaller note you still have signage up offering €8000 membership to your golf club which is dated 2008!!! I hope you take these comments in the manner that they are sent, not as complaints just observations and ones I hope will help not hinder. Regards and thanks for asking Brian McConnell. comments Nice comfortable room, but the matress wasn't so comfortable. Needed to be replaced, we could feel the springs, not pleasant!! Breakfast was a little dissappointing, the pancakes were too stodgy. Also I had a pedicure in the Spa, which was essentially just a polish, nothing else, for €40!! Think this was just too expensive for what I got. I have stayed in Brooklodge about 4 times and previously couldn't fault it, but this time I was quite dissappointed with the overall experience. Sorry!

comments We had a lovely weekend at brooklodge. The staff are amazing and were very friendly and efficient in every part of the hotel. The only critism I could make is that to charge 5 star prices you need to upgrade to a 5 star hotel or upgrade the main house.

comments Staff were so friendly and helfpful, the waterside bar had a very limited menu and I was extremely dissapointed in the food, both the menu and the quality, in the strawberry tree although I didn't say anything to the waitress on the night as it was a special occasion and I didn't want to ruin it by complaining, also a wine I requested was not in stock which was no problem but the waitress recommended another "similar" wine which was nothing like the wine I requested apart from being the same grape. The room, location and spa were all beautiful. And I would like to mention the staff again and how courteous and helpful they were.I would visit Brooklodge again but might try the Italian restaurant the next time.

comments Is was my seine time to stay at Brookldge. I already knew how good the food and accommodation was, and It lived up to it's excellent reputation on this visit also. What I had forgot was the level of service, which during my stay was impeccable. All that combined, it led to a very enjoyable, relaxing stay at Brooklodge. comments My stay at the Brooklodge hotel was great, the rooms and staff are so nice. Even though I was 2 hours late the staff there at the hotel and in the spa were extremely helpful and understanding and done their best to fit us in for our treatments, which were amazing. Dinner and breakfast was beautiful. I would recommend anyone looking for a special time away to stay at the Brooklodge hotel.

comments i enjoyed my stay in hotel but was disappointed with the strawberry tree resturant.i felt for such a high standard of resturant that has great reviews and for the prices charged that the service was slow.One young lady seemed to be running around and we had to ask for more water etc,wait for plates to be cleared and and ordes to be taken. At the table behind us a man sat for his meal in wellington boots and ripped rugby shirt.Even though there was snow he was staying in hotel and for such a resturant there should be a dress code.Plus he argued with his partner the whole meal and was qiute loud which disturbed our meal.Usually at a resturant of this standard one would expect a much mire enjoyable experience.

comments Hello, just wanted to say thank you for a lovely time at the BrookLodge Hotel. The spa and pool area are lovely and really clean..the relaxation suite is fab, could have stayed there for hours. However, your biggest asset is your staff. I was there with 2 friends, one of whom unfortunately was struck with a stomach bug while we were there. The restaurant staff were great, she tried to eat some food but couldn't and left the restaurant to go back to the room. The staff didn't charge for the food she had ordered and were just so nice...they even rang the room to see if she was ok and if she needed a doctor! The reception sent up a pot of tea which was much appreciated. On check out the next day, the receptionst enquired as to who was unwell and even gave her some water for the drive home. Its little touch's like this that make all the difference and that separate the likes of BrookLodge from the big, faceless, uncaring hotels that have sprung up in recent times. Although our stay wasn't what we hoped for with one of us being illl but we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to be. I would recommend BrookLodge to anyone from couples to friends wanting a nice, quiet relaxing break. Well done, keep up the good work. PS the breakfast is AMAZING...loved the sooothies :-)

comments A great time, staying at Brook Lodge was a wonderful treat. I thoroughly enjoyed the superbly relaxing Wells Spa. The bar is extremely cosy and the food in La Taverno Armento was excellent - this is a great sister restaurant to The Strawberry Tree at which I dined on a previous stay. Only slight downside was that the bathroom in our room wasn't properly cleaned, but this was only a minor glitch in what was otherwise a lovely time. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Thanks.

comments We had a wonderful time at your beautiful hotel. From the initial welcome through to a lovely italian meal and breakfast the next morning. Staff were very helpful and professional. Just one small item we were on an all inclusive package with dinnwe included. We ordered a bottle of sparling water with our dinner and were charged for this. It was only a small thing in an otherwise wonderful visit.

comments Beautiful setting and staff were very helpful and friendly. The next morning there was banging or works going on in the building which did wake us. Also i would have liked if a copy of the breakdown of the bill was given to me on checkout, which is an idea for future checkouts. Overall the staff were fantastic both in the spa and hotel/restaurant. We did have an incident with a group of flies getting into the room when we opened the window but the staff killed them all!

comments This was my second time staying in Brooklodge and it was as good as i remembered. Everything from the staff to the rooms to the restaurant was outstanding. I had a mini facial and massage in the spa.The massage was the best ive ever had, Margaret was my masseuse and she really was amazing....so advise anyone to ask for her if you have any kind of tension in your back! All round great relaxing time.....already planning my next visit in January.

comments Really loved this hotel, The grounds were so well kept, the room was spotless, the bar was extremely pleasant, such a lovely atmosphere. The Breakfast lived up to its reputation and was very enjoyable. The only thing I would mention that was slightly negative was the portion sizes in the Italian restaurant were too big, and not of the highest quality, Though I did enjoy the meal besides that, and particularly great customer service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to Dublin but get away from it all at the same time.

comments Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights, and they were absolutely perfect. Everything about our stay was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to try make your stay that little bit better. The grounds are amazing as well, we took a few walks during our stay and the grounds were stunning, a nice fluffy dog even decided to join us on our walk, it is a fantastic place only made better by the friendly animals who walk around. Also our vist to the spa was also amazing, we were made feel very relaxed and calm before and after our treatment, along with our visits to the thermal suite made us extremely relaxed. We ate both nights in the classic Italian restaurant and the food was fantastic, couldnt fault it at all, the staff were also very friendly and made us feel very at home. I would recommend Brooklodge for anyone to stay, it was perfect 10/10

comments Had a superb stay , very relaxing . The food was truely outstanding, from excellent Breakfast's to a magnificant 5-course dinner in the StrawBerry Tree . I must say each course was mouth watering and every ingredient could be tested , yet you were Not overfull at the end of the meal . We brought our Dog with us , as this was one of the primary reasons for choosing this Hotel (they accept dogs ). We found the staff excellent for accomodating us here , with a convenient Ground floor Room and no fuss made at all of having a well behaved Pet . Other guests we chatted to were dissappointed that they had not brought their own pets as they had not realized Dogs were allowed I have recommended BrookLodge Hotel & Wells Spa to all my friends with small caveat being to check for the prices and special offers . The fact that there was a very good reduction in September 2010 was the final key reason for chosing Brookloadge , and overall because of this discount , it was very good value for what we got

We've had a nice conversation with the waiter at the restaurant and there was a very cheerful woman waiting on tables in your breakfast room. The room was exquisite, the view even more so. We've had very nice food, and the chef gave us a recipe for Irish pancakes. At home we also practice the organic lifestyle, that's why we booked Brooke Lodge. comments Both my parents are retired and were looking for a short break near to Dublin as Dad doesn't like driving too far. A friend had stayed in Brooklodge and highly recommended it. Both mum & dad totally enjoyed their 3 nights break - the location & grounds were fantastic - the food beautiful & staff very, very helpful. The spa & swimming pool were put to good use. They will definitely be going back.

Food in the Waterside Lounge was tasty and the bar staff were very professional and friendly. Dinner in La Taverna Armento was superb. comments We had an excellent meal the evening we stayed in the Strawberry Tree restaurant. We had stayed in Brooklodge before and the reason we came back was because of the food. We couldn't fault a single thing. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and professional, it gave a lovely feel to the dinning experience without being too formal. I always recommend Brooklogdge to colleagues and friends if they ask about a good hotel. We look forward to returning again as it was just as memorable as the first time.

comments We really enjoyed our stay at Brooklodge and would like to go back soon again. The food was excellent and grounds were simply beautiful. If pushed, Our only negative comment on our stay there was our encounter with one of the waiting staff. We enjoyed our meal in the Italian and as the weather was v.good and we had a young child with us who was starting to become aggitated in the heat of the restaurant, we kindly asked that we take our dessert & coffee outside and the waitress ILona rudely said that we were not allowed (even though we were paying for it!) So we had to leave with out our 3rd course. After going outside we noticed other customers were permitted to bring their 3rd course out as the asked the male waiter instead. Overall it was a lovely stay and we will return soon again.

comments I've stayed in Brooklodge many times before and had my wedding there in 2003. As always we had a great stay. The staff are very friendly and professional and the atmosphere is always relaxing. I always make sure to stay in the Brooklodge part of the hotel as opposed to the newer Brookhall as the spa in Brooklodge doesn't allow children so it's better if you're after a relaxing weekend. The food is always fantastic and the breakfast is great. I'd recommend it without hesitation for a very relaxing break.

comments The service and facilities again were excellent at Brooklodge, and we will be returning, the only criticism we had was in relation to the television, as the reception was poor and the selection lacking, but a small flaw in an otherwise perfect stay

comments We stayed in Brooklodge based on what we saw online however once we checked in the quality of everything was 2nd to none. The room, the facilities and most of all the resturant were fantastic. If staying at Brooklodge you must book in for a meal to truly appreciate the 'organic' experience. Already planning our next visit next year and this time there will be 8 of us so we can play golf and do the spa!

comments A wonderful hotel. Great setting, very helpful staff and fantastic food in the Strawberry Tree restaurant. Only problem was that our stay was too short. Will definitely be making a return visit.
