comments We stayed for the Wexford Opera Festival. The service, our rooms and the breakfasts were all excellent. The only reason the Talbot does not get a 5 is that the post-opera buffet is a little disorganised. It would be better if tables and wines could be ordered in advance and cold food too.

comments The staff were very friendly. We have a son with food allergies and they put a small fridge in our room and stored other food for us in the coldroom. There was no problem when I asked for porridge without milk. Very family friendly. Only disappointment was that the steam room was being re-tiled and so out of action. comments Staff have to be commended, they were all extremely plesant, friendly & efficient. Food, drink & service in Ballast bar was excellent, as in the Oyster restaurant. Breakfast was okay, choice could be better, cooked irish was bland, somewhat tasteless. Waiting staff looking after breakfast were again excellent. The room was quiet which is what I requested so had a good nights sleep however it was very basic and on the small side but served its purpose.

comments Our stay at the Talbot Hotel was one of the best we have had in Ireland. We stayed here approx 8 years ago and things have improved since then. Our 2 boys aged 6 and 18 months loved it and we will be going back again for sure. The food, staff and service were excellent. Highly recommend a stay here.

comments I spent three days at the Talbot Hotel from the 10th of August 2009. From check in, to check out every one of the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, with a very good choice. I am looking forward to returning before the end of the year.

comments Reaslly enjoyed our stay. Lovely room, terrific food. Only complaint would be the length of time it took to serve the dinner. Having said that there was a large party in the dining room and this may have caused the delay to some extent. We really did enjoy our stay anyway regardless of this minor item.

comments thank you for giving me this opportunity to comment on my stay in The Talbot. My husband and I had a Wonderful wonderful stay. Location, car parking, staff, food,and leisure facilities were TOP CLASS. We got a very good offer/price, so I guess that made it all the more special in these times of recession. The Staff were very very friendly, and happy in their work. The service at Breakfast was excellent. The place was packed for breakfast,yet the staff worked very very hard to get everyone seated, feed and on there way, with friendly smiles. would not hesitate in recommending this place, I just hope they keep up the excellent work. mairin

comments We requested a 1.00 pm check in. When we ( my wife and myself )arrived we were told that our room would not be ready until 2.30.It was 3.15 pm when it was ready. The room allocated to us was very small and the view was really bad - metal ducting was all you could see from the window. Not what you would expect fron a 4 star hotel. We complained to reception and were given a family room at the front of the hotel . The rest ot the hotel was very good. We ate in the Ballast Bar - the food and staff were excellent.

comments I am only too glad you asked me for my comments on our stay at the Talbot Hotel Wexford. I cannot emphasise enough the quality of the service and assistance we got at this hotel. The staff were constantly on the alert to come to answer any queries we had. The food was excellent and the room very good. However, I must add that after my friend had a bad accident on the street near the hotel, we were given every assistance in getting her medical assistance and the care shown to me after the accident was second to none. If I must single out one person it was Trevor O'Connor who was so helpful during the traumatic experience. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and to anyone who wants to enjoy a stay in Wexford. Thank God there are still hotel staff of this callibre working in Ireland.

comments I went to the Talbot with my husband for a weekend break and we were thrilled with the hotel and the service. Our room was very comfortable with heatingairconditioning that we could control. The first night we ate in the bar. The food was lovely and very reasonable. Both nights in the bar they had a great live band. Breakfast at the restaurant was really great and the service was excellent. The girls at reception couldn't do enough for us- advising us of good restaurants etc. The leisure centre was lovely- my only complaint was that the water in the pool was a little cool for me but my husband thought it was grand!

comments hi we had a great stay at your hotel and we will definitely be going again. the only problem we had was at dinner, there was a long delay in getting our food(we ordered lame)when we got it it was cold, but having said that this will not stop us going again. We stayed at your hotel often and we were there for our Christmas dinner last year and the food was great. is there a new chief.? Any way we will be back in the new year, regards. ivona shortt

comments Our stay at the Talbot Hotel in Wexford was extremely pleasurable. Staff were extremely pleasant and professional. The food was excellent and we ate off the normal menu - unlike other hotels where we have stayed where we were given a SPECIAL menu because we had a package deal. We would have no hesitation in returning to the Talbot Hotel. Many thanks for a wonderful break.

comments Found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Left some personal items behind us. I emailed them about this immediately we returned home. The items were send on by post the following day. Altogether a great hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was, as usual, wonderful. Could not recommend it too highly.

comments Didn't really expect much considering the price we were paying but have to say at no time did we feel we were "economy". Food gorgeous, staff more than helpful - really friendly!. Accommodation was above average - not great but higher than adequate. Would definitely go again.

comments My wife and I spent 3 days in the Talbot Hotel and found the staff and facilities to ofa 4* standard. The residents bar was a pleasant experience and the bar food was excellent. The main restaurant food and service was top notch. Good value for money.

comments The staff are very friendly and helpful in the hotel. The food is excellent and has a huge amount of variety and good value for money. As there were 2 parties staying in the hotel, our room was a good size and quite comfortable with A/C but the other parties room was small and had no A/C. Overall very pleased & we hope to return again next year for our annual trip to Wexford.

comments No broadband access was available in the hotel and I needed to contact my company VPN. Receptionist said broadband access cards were all gone. Internet access in reception area had "Kiosk" software installed which blocked java script so I could not use the back door into my network either. I had to use an internet cafe up the town which had no java script blocking turned on.This was a big downside to my stay at the Talbot and I am sure would be to many IT professionals.

comments I was very satisfied with my stay in the Talbot Hotel Wexford. The hotel was excellent, the staff fantastic & also they have a childrens club from 6 - 9:30pm every evening to feed & look after the your children from 6mts onwards. The girls that do this are fantastic.

comments This hotel has a great location in the town, the rooms were nice and clean, the bar had live entertainment and good bar food, although service was a bit on the slow side. Nice leisure centre with a decent size pool. We brought our 1 year old and there was no problem having a few drinks in the bar. Would definitely recommend.

comments The double room we were staying in was very small, almost claustrophobic and was noisey since it was beside air conditioning ducts. The hotel caims to be 4 star but it was shabby looking in areas and could do with modernisation.

comments We really enjoyed our break at the talbot Hotel. staff were very helpful and cheerful. restaurants were tops and again staff wer very approachable and helpful. food was delicious. With two small children the swimming pool was a blessing. Shopping in the surrounding area would suit all tastes. thank you for a lovely stay. I would certainly visit again.
