An excellent hotel in all respects. The room was comfortable, the food of a very high quality, the health and leisure centre well-equipped and with sensible opening hours. We were very pleased with everything during our stay in the Ferrycarrig Hotel. The view over the Slaney Estuary is beautiful, the staff were polite and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. The gym is well equipped and not too busy. The highlight of the stay, however, was the breakfast: there is a fine array of cereals, fresh fruit, juices and smoothies, but the coup de grace was the eggs mornay. Poached eggs, thick slices of bacon on lightly toasted English muffins, covered in a Wexford Cheddar sauce - sure how could you refuse?! Having an on-site gym also allows you to work off the excess calories of such a hedonistic pleasure, so it's a guilt-free experience.	report this review as inappropriate

We stayed at the Ferrycarrig for 3 days on an over 55 package DBandB. We were given a very spacious upgraded room with balcony and river view. We suspected that our package would have restrictions on what we could have from the dinner menu. We were wrong. We were able to choose from the main menu. The food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. The service throughout the hotel was first class except perhaps falling short of that standard in the bar. The location with river view was very relaxing and was a good base to travel from on our first trip to the area. This is a family friendly hotel and a couple of parents might have been more mindful of other guests in the bar and dining room. This however was a very minor downside to an excellent break and we would not hesitate to book again if in the area.	report this review as inappropriate

I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. The setting is beautiful and the staff genuinely helpful and friendly. The rooms are roomy and all have estuary views. Breakfast and bar food are spot on. The restaurants menu is interesting though the food not always a match, also beware of 4 after friday weddings. Overall great place and great value.	report this review as inappropriate

I would highly recommend the Ferrycarrig. We had a great 3 days there. The staff are extremely well-trained and were very heplful & friendly at all times. The baby room is an excellent idea & proved very useful for our 9 month old daughter. The Hotel is very easy to find.We received a great welcome.Our room had a lovely view and it was a bright room .The staff were very friendly and most efficient. The dining room looks out on to the sea too which is so beautiful to see while dining.	report this review as inappropriate
