We stayed in the Brandon with our 2 young daughters. The hotel was lovely and the staff were great. The receptionist was the nicest in any hotel we've stayed. The facilities were great and the kids loved the pool. The food was great too. The room we had was very basic but clean and had everything we needed, and overall we had a great weekend. |

The Thermal Spa is fantastic but the hotel isn't up to the same standard as the Spa. However I would stay in the hotel again purely to spend a day at the spa. |

Our stay at the Brandon House Hotel was wonderful, everythign we wanted from a weekend away! The leisure centre is amazing, and time spent in the hydrotherapy grotto is time very very well spent! |

i dont normally reply to a request for a reference but this time i just have to
the bedroom was just average but when we went for dinner it was exceptional every course was exploding with taste my wife and i both agreed it was the best we had had in the last five years
we went back the next night had different courses and they were still fabulous
we will travel from donegal again to sample the food at the brandon house |

The Brandon is a beautiful country house, the staff are excellent & the new spa is top class. We have stayed here several times & never been disappointed. The resturant serves great food & has a lovely atmosphere. For more casual dining the bar food is equaly as good. We love this hotel so much that we had our wedding reception there a year ago even though we live more than 50 miles away! Cannot recommended enough for families and couples. |

The pool area was great and the food was lovely.Very dissatisfied with the reception area to be used after 9pm.We have 2 young boys..there was not sufficent seating in this area,max 12 seats.Any one with young children arrived in this area with nowhere to sit. |

Hotel is very pleaseant to stay in for 3 star. Rooms are basic decor but clean. I would rate the staff very highly indeed. The only issue I would have is with the food. Although the choice and presentation is very appealing, the food is sometimes cold, or smothered in sauce so it's hit and miss. I've stayed in the hotel twice and both times fealt the same. An example is this time I had the nicest rack of lamb main course I've had anywhere - an absolutely gorgeous dinner. But then I had apple crumble for dessert. The crumble was mush and the custard, of which there was too much, was hot in places and cold in places suggesting to me that the dessert was heated in the microwave, something I wouldnt even do myself with crumble and I'm not a cook, never mind a chef ! |

Accomodation was good but i dont think we would have stayed there except for the spa im happy that we did stay there as it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay and we definitely would stay again the dinner we had in the restaurant was exquisite |

While the common areas of the hotel are nicely decorated, the bedroom was dated and a bit dark. The staff were lovely and we had a small child with us so found them all very helpful and nice. In relation to the Spa, I didn't think I got value for money. |

The room was very nice, and we were very impressed with the leisure centre. Breakfast was a bit disorganised on the first morning and they ran out of eggs as we were queueing but Sunday was fine. The meal in the restaurant on Saturday night was lovely and the service was excellent. The only other quibble we had with the hotel was the loud live music friday night in the library bar. We would have much rathered they didtn bother with any music and we felt it took from the overall ambience of the place. |

Excellent weekend and friendly staff would recommend it to anyone.
The only thing I was disappointed with was when my wife got a treatment in the Spa it only lasted 45min. and it should have lasted an hour. She still had to pay the full 70 euro. |

Really enjoyed my stay, couldn?t fault it in any way, I have stayed in a lot of Hotel's/Health Spa's but have to say this was my best experience as the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent and the Health Spa was the icing on the cake. Initially i only booked a 2 day stay but ended staying for 3 days because i felt so relaxed and at home.
Will deffently recommend The Brandon House Hotel to my fiends & staff and will most deffently be returning myself.

Better entertainment - hotel is out of the way therefore people are more likely to have a drink in the hotel. The bedroom was very cold, probably because it was the last room on the corridor and on the ground floor. Food/services etc. were excellent. Staff were brilliant. Really enjoyed our stay. |

Comfortable, warm and friendly hotel with very good leisure and pool facilities for all the family. The newly opened Spa is a supert place to relax and be pampered. Perhaps if a games room was available so children could have a few hours to play games, read and just hang-out would be great. Overall, the food, service and rooms were inded very good and enjoyable. |

We really enjoyed our stay at the Brandon Hotel. The hotel was very child friendly (we have 4 children) and the staff were most helpful. The food in the restautant was wonderful. Overall it was great value for money & we will definitely return!

We stayed in a family room and everything was great. It was a little small but we were very grateful it was on the ground floor. The staff were all very nice, the SPA was amazing, as was the pool. The bar food was great but the restaurant food for dinner and breakfast was very disappointing. Overall we were satisfied. |

pool excellent ,water grotto good. meal little dissapointing, starter, 'bed of leaves' like something you find in bottom of fridge that needs chucking out, wilted, no dressing, meat in main course beautifully cooked, but veg scarce and poor enough, dessert fine. Breakfast nice but not enough teapots! no marmalade..
Rooms adequate.
No comparison to Radison in Limerick where we stayed for same price! |

This hotel has a unique style. It combines the old world style of the original "big" house with high-tech environmentally friendly design in the modern spa. Its recent modernisation seems to be localised and some areas are a little tired in decor, however, it has the friendliest & most helpful staff we've encountered in recent years travelling around Ireland. As a family of four we had a wonderful weekend, the only downside was that we would have preferred advance warning of the bedroom arrangement (i.e. bunk beds and very small) |

We had rang and asked for a room with one double bed and no other beds as we were bringing along a travel cot for our child. But when we got there, our room had a double and a single bed so we had to push the single bed over to make room for the travel cot. It just made the room very small for three people despite my phone request! |

There was a huge wedding reception on the Thursday, and this turned our nice quiet stay into a nightmare, Couldn't move.
I think hotels should inform guests if a large wedding reception is booked during their stay so that plans can be made to avoid this |

Nice Hotel in a very nice town but wont be staying there again as i found staff unhelpful and they gave an impression that anything you asked of them like some tea with your breakfast was just too much hassel for themand they really would rather you went away and left them alone |

We found the hotel very nice, except for one item the childrens high chairs were not clean at all. They also are not a great models high chair. The stay overall was lovely and the meal in the restaurant was superb. |

The hotel was a bit shabby and could do with a lick of paint, at least. There was a very bad smell of stale smoke in bedrooms. Would only return if this was removed. Food exceeded expectations - it was very good. Staff were very pleasant. |

I found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Because the hotel has a lot of weddings and such like on, we found that the parking could be a problem but to be fair, we always got a space in the end. Although it may have taken a while to find one and it was a futher distance from the hotel than we would have liked. I used the Beauty Spa and found it was only ok. The food in both the restaurant and the bar was lovely and the service very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the kids loved the swimming pool! |
