comments Stayed in the Amber Springs for two nights and was very impressed by the hotel and its staff. The Room was very large by any standard and fitted out to a high spec. We ate in the bar on the first nice and had an acceptable meal. On the second night we ate in the restaurant and the food was a marked inprovement. Waiting staff were not fantastic, we ordered a bottle of white wine with our meal and had to ask for an ice bucket which was just plonked on the table. A small quibble but its the little things that matter. On check out we noticed that the wine had been left of the bill and it took the duty manager a long time to work out how to charge us for it. Again a small quibble. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again. Special mention to the bar staff who were superb.

comments I would have like to have a hairdresser available in the health suite before going down for dinner. The food was delicious, a satisfactory portion and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Almost everything was perfect (except my hair) and I feel Amber Springs would go the extra mile.

comments Have stayed before, that is why we returned. The attention to detail is one of the reasons we keep coming back. If we were to make an adverse comment it would be the removal of the buffet breakfast on one of the mornings of our stay. We did understand that the hotel was not too busy.The attentiveness of the staff and their friendliness was so much appreciated. Hope to be back before too long

comments Your front of house staff were exceptional as well as staff in general which is uncommon in Irish hotels and this alone would make me return. The food was also very good. The downside was the rooms seemed a little sad, ie large and empty and draining browns, I think if this was reviewed you would do very well.

comments thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the amber springs hotel, the staff were very polite and helpful, my wife and i used the health spa and it was excellent and the staff in the health spa were paticularly nice, the only minus and it is only a small minus is the food in the bar was nicer than the food in the main restaurant, other than that it was a most enjoyable stay and i will defenitely stay there again, thank you brian carrie

comments Would recommend this place any time: Bright, light, generously laid out, lots of easy parking, fabulous childrens' facilities including imaginative playground and footballpitch for kids, very clean, stylishly furnished rooms with comfortable beds and all comforts, mixing taps on basins, good lighting in rooms, also natural light, deliciously cooked breakfast, lovely stuff. Will definately stay again, when my way leads me via Gorey.

comments Lovely hotel, rooms are to a very good standard and the health spa was excellent. The only bad points were that the online booking system let the hotel down by not registering our booking and only that we rang ahead to book dinner we would of arrived with the headache of trying to sort all this out at the reception desk. But with compliments to the receptionist, she sorted it out very quickly - and booked us in for dinner!! Overall the hotel is to a good standard with friendly staff, plenty of facillites and is very well set up for familes.

comments We had a lovely stay at Amber Springs, we stayed for 2 nights. Our rate included dinner, which we booked for the 2nd night. The meal was lovely, but would have liked a couple more vegetarian options for the main meal. We also decided to indulge in some spa treatments in Cocoon. The staff were lovely, really pleasant, and the offers for the month of August were fantastic. We will definately return to Amber Springs, and I think I'll be returning soon with the girls!!

comments We had a girlie breakaway and everyone of us really enjoyed it. The bar food is really great value and great selection. We all enjoyed the Spa but missed the little simple things in the relaxation room after like the cookies and fruit sticks. The music is good in the bar the night we where there their was a man playing a guitar and we enjoyed his songs. Its nice that the hotel is child friendly as we would like to go back with our family sometime.

comments This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel - and to be honest I had forgotten just how lovely the hotel was. Quality bedroom with beautifully clean beds. I always check my matress when I stay in hotels as a result of a horror story some years back in a hotel in Leicestershire. Yours were immaculate !! The beds were extremely comfortable too. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. I will definitely be coming back and I would recommend the hotel unreservedly to anyone.

comments Yes I was extremely happy with the hotel room and service. I recently visited to attend my nephews wedding. It is a beautiful hotel that I would gladly return to on a weekend break with my two sons. Even though I did not have my children with me it looks very child friendly with a magnificent beer garden and play ground that there were plenty of families availing of that were not attending the fuction I was at. With all the space facility availabe if there were any children that were over zealous or misbehaving as kids do (and may I add mine do occasionally) it was not noticeable because of the roomy garden. Definitely somewhere I would visit again with or withour children. Staff very friendly and helpful. May I just add if you are thinking of having your wedding here it was absolutely gorgeous and the attention to detail was second to none and the staff so professional, I would highly recommend. Kerry Kilkenny was also so helpful on the telephone with a small problem I had booking.

comments We stayed for a 3 night package with 2 dinners. Everything was very pleasant - very good room and breakfast. Evening meals on first and third days were also nice and well served by friendly waitress. The middle evening we walked into town and had an excellent Thai meal at Khin Khao on the main street. The swimming pool and spa facilities were excellent with a friendly welcome from the spa receptionist. All in all a very pleasant stay at Amber Springs Hotel. Only a slight 'niggle' - there has to be one! The sound proofing between rooms is not brilliant if there is a noisy neighbour with a loud TV! Also suggest the maintenance people put slow return springs on bedroom doors to avoid the regular loud clashing of doors when they are left to swing shut by inconsiderate guests.

comments A beautiful hotel, well situated just outside Gorey. Staff first class, very friendly and efficient. Hotel is lovely, and well laid out. Would definately go back for another weekend. Leisure centre is excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend, and only an hours drive from Dublin.

Even though I checked in earlier then I had stated in the booking, they were still very helpful and early check in it did not create any problem. The room was very well appointed and spaciously furnished with a double and a single bed. The bathroom was bright and very clean and it had all the required toiletries. I will absolutely stay here again! The Manager I meet on the day and his personnel are impressively friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts offered were varied and sumptuous. I didn’t have the opportunity to ample the Spa facilities on this occasion but I intend to make a return visit later this year. I will absolutely stay here again!

comments i stayed in the amber springs mid week, and may i say that the staff where exelent and very profesional, from the min we arrived we where made very welcome, we stayed in one of the hotels amazing suites and it was an experience to remember, room service was quick and the food was very good, the restaurant was quiet but the food there was lovely, as i said it was mid week, my partner visited the cocoon spa and she hod some of there treatments and she loved it, overall we had a lovely time, staff where amazing and would defintly go back again soon.... comments The rooms were large and luxurious with a multi channel tv. There was ample car parking and the hotel was close to the town. Fitness suite, pool, sauna etc. were excellent. Definitely very good value for money and we plan to go back.

comments I had a very enjoyable stay at the Amber Springs, i could only fault the heat at night, and although you can not control this, a top sheet on the bad would have been enough to cool us during the night rather than sleeping under a duvet, other than this, it was perfect... many thanks to your kind and very helpful staff...

comments As a family of 5 we had a great stay at the hotel. We requested a family room which was extremely spacious considering there was a double bed, two single beds and a camp bed. The Kidszone facility was fantastic as our kids didn't want to leave it. The food and service was excellent. We will be going back as soon as we can!

comments I have no complaints at all, my compliments to the chef as the food was superb. The staff were helpful and friendly and the location is very central. Really enjoyed my swim and relaxation in the jacuzzi and steam room, I will definately be back.

comments Spa and Leisure facilities were top class. However I thought the service in the restaurant was quite slow and cumbersome. We were left sitting for at least 30 minutes after our meal before our plates were cleared. It was not a particulary busy time in the restaurant either. Waitress did not know what the soup of the day was and when she did find out she told me a different soup than what was actually the soup!!

comments My stay at Amber Springs Hotel and Health Spa was fantastic. The staff at the reception was extremely friendly, i had a very warm welcome when i checked in. I was well satisfied with their service, the hotel Suite was very comfortable and on top of everything i really liked the cleanliness of the hotel, thumb up for that. Dinner was excellent, ive also ordered a cake for my boyfriend as it was his birthday and i was surprise to see the restaurant manager with other members of staff coming at our table singing happy birthday lol, it was fantastic i wasnt expecting that.I would highly recomment this hotel for its cleanliness and such friendly atmosphere making your stay nice and pleasant and would definitely go back. A BIG WOW TO AMBER SPRINGS HOTEL AND HEALTH SPA.

comments we enjoyed our stay in the amber springs hotel. lovely hotel. bedrooms very spacious. food good , but the restraunt had the same menu for the three nights which ment we went for bar food which was lovely. my husband felt three swimming lanes was a bit small could have had another lane paticularly for when the hotel is busy. otherwise a lovely leisure centre. would go back again. regards mrs cavanagh

comments My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.Because it was March and on a Sun,Mon night, the place wasn't that busy.Was mostly an older crowd too.The service was brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us and the staff were very friendly.It was the perfect weekend, hotel was very relaxing and decorated beautifully.The only fault was all the channels on the TV didn't work, would've liked an option of selecting a Film, but the hotel didn't supply that service.I would recommend this hotel to couples wanting a relaxing weekend.

comments The only problem I had with the stay was the fact that the reception staff did not initially have my book assist reference and tried ti charge me double the price that was booked. They were quite rude about it and the situation was uncomfortable. I would suggest more communication with the booking staff with regard to bookings would prevent this - however, I see this as a problem of the hotel - not book assist which i have used several times before with no problems

comments The environment is all new as the building only opened recently and there was a feeling that everyone were still finding their feet which was good as nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I hope this push to impress and wow the customers continues when the hotel gets established as it surly will given the high quality and general air of opulance felt on my visit. So sieze the opportunity to treat yourself to the royal treatment before it becomes really successfull and the need to impress and indulge your every whim gives way to commercial considerations. The meal on Friday night was exceptional served with a highly polished attention to detail. Sat night was however a major dissappointment due to too high an emphasis on fish choices and the inclusion of baby chicken as a main course. All who opted for baby chicken felt shame that small baby chickens had died needlessly in the making of the meal. When a sugestion was made to the head waiter that there is very little to eat on a baby chicken he advised that this was something that the chef was expermenting with. Be warned if you do not want to leave still hungery do not order baby chicken. Overall the hotel did have a very positive impact on me and I am wholeheartely recommending it to my friends and will visit there again if only to see if the friendly ethos has been changed by well deserved success.

comments The Amber Springs Hotel is a lovely hotel and enjoyed a pleasant stay - however the Health Spa was not open - I phoned and was informed it would be open by the October bank holiday weekend. We were able to use the leisure centre in the Ashdown park Hotel and it was really great. We were just a bit disappointed that we could not use the facilities on site. We look forward to staying in the Amber Springs again when it is fully operational.
