comments I was very impressed with my stay at the Woodlands Hotel. The staff were very friendly and extremely courteous. The rooms were spotless. The food was lovely and very well presented.The leisure centre was well equipped and clean. I would recommend this Hotel to any of my friends and intend making a return trip soon.

comments had a very pleasant stay. Was extremely happy with the large family room I received as I had requested on my online booking. Have stayed here before on numerous times we even celebrated my mothers 50th birthday party there a couple of years ago - would be very happy to return again!

comments very limited dinner menu in the dining room. No residents lounge other than seating in the foyer. Window left open in bedroom all day in cold weather. Pool. sauna etc excellent. Staff pleasant and helpful.

comments Two of the four meals we had on the night we arrived had to be returned to the kitchen . The one was nuked by the microwave and hard as rocks and the other cold. The other two were passable. We nhad two breakfasts and the plates were stone cols so the food had congealed before we were finidshed. They ran out of bread and butter and by the time it arrived we didn't want it. The fried eggs were rock hard and black. The rooms were large and comfortable. The plumbing worked. It would have been a very enjoyable stay only for the food. Stay there but eat out!!

comments I think that the overall hotel atmosphere was lovely but I did not think the meal in their restaurant was as nice as it could have been.Also I used the beauty salon in the hotel and I thought that it was overpriced for the service rendered.

comments We had a lovely stay at the Woodlands.Staff were most helpful and accomadating in every request they were asked for. Facilities were very good also. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel for both families and couples.

comments my wife is a coeliac and the food menu in the bar has gluten free foods on it and when ordering the food my wife asked if it was gluten free and was told yes and when the food arrived it wasn't gluten free which could have made her ill,we didn't eat in the hotel after that but everything else with the hotel was fine.

comments The hotel was very nice the rooms was lovely and the leisure facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only fault I have with the woodland hotel was the food. We stayed three nights breakfast on the second morning was very poor. We had the early bird menu on the first night and the selection and quality again was very poor we opted to eat out on the second night and then on the third night we decided the try the table d'hote menu. When we received this menu we found that the the starter and desert choice was the exact same as the early bird and for the main course the only difference was there was two extra choice of steak or duck I didn't think that this menu was worth an extra ?14 per person. Again we had the early bird and the standard was no better than the first night I couldn't understand why the choice was so limited especially as the menu for room service looked really impressive.

comments After making a dinner reservation a few days before our arrival we got to the hotel and there was no record of my booking.Thanks to the waiting staff we were catered for just as the returant was closing.

comments We booked two double rooms over the Easter weekend. Check in was efficient and there was no problem with the rooms which were large and comfortable. The leisure complex was clean and had an appropriate number of apparatus. We did have an evening meal which was very much below standard. Next night we ate down the road in Becketts which was cheaper and the quality far better. There is a lively bar with plenty of locals and hotel guests. All in all, its what I expect from a three star hotel.
