comments Staff are pleasant, hotel is very clean and well layed out. Second time staying here and very satisfied both times. Love the fact that there is hot chocolate as well as the usual tea and coffee in the rooms and you get a mug instead of a tiny little cup. Great value for money as other hotels in the same price range can sometimes be of poorer quality in comparison. Great base for touring the beautiful south coast.

comments We stayed one night at the Ramada Viking Hotel Waterford and the experience surpassed expections. The twin room was bright and spacious [the most comfortable beds ever!], bathroom roomy and clean [and equipped for persons with disability - v.modern!]. The hotel staff were courteous and extremely helpful with directions (especially the receptionist). As we had an early appointment we could not avail of breakfast but there was plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. will stay there again.

Breakfast was excellent in the mornings. Would definitely visit again. Good for parents with kids!! Not much to do around but 5 mins from waterford city and only 15 mins to tramore.

Only one negative point I have found over the times I have spent there and that is when ordering breakfast to the room, you may not get what you order. Otherwise great breakfast and overall a great stay.

comments I could only fault that it was a little bit further away from city centre than i thought. Only 3 mins in a car though so not that bad. The hotel itself was lovely with excellent staff in all areas and the food was excellent also. The rooms were spotless and very cosy in the evenings also. Ample car parking available also. We had a lovely stay and the shopping was very good also with nearly all the top retailers that you could want for.

comments Because I used a Woodies Hotel Voucher we were put into a room which overlooked the boiler house. There was a constant noise from the boiler which kept me awake for hours on end. the reason we went away for the weekend was because we were both exhausted and wanted a rest. I would never use one of those vouchers again because you just get treated badly. Even when we went into the restaurant to have our meal we were put sitting right under the air conditioning unit. Having said that the staff were all very nice.

comments We arrived quite late on Friday evening, too late for the restaurant and bar-food, however the staff in the bar were very helpful and arranged for some sandwiches to be prepared for us, they were much appreciated. Myself and my husband were very impressed with the staff, especially in the restaurant, our evening dinner on Saturday was very pleasant the food was excellant and the professional attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was refreshing. And on both mornings for breakfast we were met with a very happy, helpful and cheery manager. Our room was spacious and very clean, and I thought that the free offer of forgotten toiletries from reception is a very clever and resourceful idea from this hotel. I have only two complaints, the large extractor system for the kitchen is extremely noisy and our room (Rm 232) overlooked the flat roof where this is situated. It's unfortunate that the architects did not realise this during planning and construction. My other minor but nevertheless annoying complaint is regarding the location of the soap tray over the bath, it is impossible to avoid knocking an elbow or side when moving around in the small space. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay in the Ramada.

comments In general all the staff were very friendly & helpful. The older gentleman in the dining room where we had breakfast on both mornings had an agressive manner and not at all welcoming. Dinner was poor, very bad combinations for starters and main course was served with cold veg. Veg had to go back and then meat was cold & sause served with a skin over it, so obviously was sitting in the kitchen for some time. Poor selection on menu and starters tasteless. Main course was tasty when we got it eventually.
