I very much enjoyed my stay in July at the Majestic Hotel. I had a lovely, spotless room overlooking Tramore Bay. The cooked breakfast was excellent and plentiful including a choice of cereals, fruits and juices and the staff was very helpful and attentive. While I did not have an evening meal in the restaurant the prices seemed very good value. The lobby was attractive and well appointed, an indication in my experience of what the overall standard of a Hotel will be like. The lobby also included a computer with internet access and a well-stocked display of brochures on things to do and places to see both locally and in surrounding areas. The bar/lounge was clean, spacious and well run with good quality bar food at very reasonable rates. Attached to the bar was a lovely beer garden overlooking the sea. It was very relaxing to sit there reading the papers over a morning coffee or with a drink in the evening. There was music nightly in the bar from Thursday through to the weekend. Some family, friends and I spent an enjoyable evening in the bar/lounge on one of the music nights and the prices of drinks compared very favourably with other Hotel prices. For just €5 guests can avail of the facilities of Splash World directly across the road from the Majestic which includes swimming pool with a wave machine, water slides, Jacuzzi, steam room etc, and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk away from the Hotel. Overall my stay at the Majestic more than met my expectations as regards value, service and ambience and the mix of foreign and Irish guests that I met while staying there added to the experience. I have already recommended the Majestic to friends who now plan to spend a weekend break there and I look forward to returning again.

	Hotel is nice clean. Hotel receiption staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean Overall good hotel for small break. Hotel room for triple sharing was small. Breakfast was generic and had not many item options for selection.

My friend and I stay in the majestic hotel for two nights. We had a magnificent view of the beach. The hotel itself is lovely. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Maureen who served us when we were dining was particularly pleasant and helpful. We cannot fault this hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. My friend and I will definitely be returning to the Majestic

	My stay at Majestic Hotel was most enjoyable. The food was superb and the service was excellent from the very friendly staff. Shower facilities were very poor unfortunately, would have expected a more modern power shower. Would certainly return to Majestic again.

	We had a very enjoyable stay in the Majestic Hotel, rooms were of a good 3 standard but a little cold, and the longe area is very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and would have no problem staying there again. MS

	What a great place to stay went for new years eve and had a brilliant time at their evening ball .Good staff are hard to find and they have the best,breakfast till 12.00 am.The best run family hotel i have stayed in for a long time.Well done to you all for making are stay so enjoyable.

I have stayed in The Majestic on numerous ocassions in the past and always found the hotel to be satisfactory. I must say, the decor in the bar and reception area is really good and a vast improvement on the past (the bar always felt a bit dark). Mt only comment would be that the shower was not very good in my room. I was told it was a power shower but to me just looked like the sort of thing I have over the bath in my own house....a mixer tap shower. It was almost impossible to get the water temperature right, it was either too hot or too cold.

	Stayed at the Majestic in October 2010. Staff very friendly. Breakfast lovely, the brown bread was delicious. Our bedroom was at the front of the hotel, so the view was fantastic. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would stay again.

The service from the time I arrived at 7.45am on the Saturday until when I checked out on the Sunday at 10am was just first class. The rooms were so clean and comfortable, the reception staff were polite and welcoming and the restaurant staff just made sure that nothing was too much trouble. I could not fault any part of my stay and next time I am back in Tramore, I will not be looking for anywhere else to stay.

The room was extremely hot and way too small for 5 people. On arrival we seen the price for a family room was reduced, which annoyed us, we were paying nearly 800 euros for 6 nights which was ridiculous as they were giving rooms now for 100 a night. Housekeeping was very bad, they didnt come till 4 o'clock one day which is very bad, on the 4th day I stripped all the beds myself as it seems our sheets were never going to be changed, kids had juice and food all over them which was plain to be seen! One of the kids broke one of the glasses on bathroom floor, I asked two members of staff to take the glass up off floor to no avail, hours later I asked for a sweeping brush and I would do it myself, only then it was done for me. With 3 kids in the room I thought this was very dangerous, obviously staff didnt. No highchairs four mornings when we went down for breakfast, which is bad for a "family" hotel, there was only 3 highchairs available? That was just not acceptable. We can safely say we wont recommend it and will never stay again.

We were extremely satisfied with our overnight stay. Bedroom very airy with balcony door. Bed and pillows very comfortable. We availed of 'Early Bird' menu, together with another couple who joined us for our evening meal and the service was excellent with food tasty and hot. I have to give mention to the Receptionist who was on front desk at check-in on sat aft. 26th, she was so friendly and it is a very good indication, as your first impression sets the mood. For Tramore, in general, we thought drink prices were excellent value for money.

	chaotic on check in - was clearly overbooked - we felt it would have suited better had we not arrived had booked a family room - expecting as described on website - a double and 2 singles - was allocated a standard double that said bar staff and restraunt staff were very helpful and pleasant

first impression of the hotel was beautiful, had a meal in the hotel and the standard was good the staff were better... the room to the front had a beautiful view but i think the room needs a makeover.. i have stayed in a lot of hotels in tramore but i have to say i will be back again to the majestic as if was far the best in tramore.... but please update the rooms, they were clean, but just a make over and it will be perfect...

I recently stayed overnight at the Majestic to attend a conference. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The room was adequate, I was offered breakfast in my room which was delivered on time and a good start to the day! Only downside was no hot water in the early morning to have a shower!! Apart from that it's a nice hotel, centrally located and fantastic views overlooking Tramore Strand.

	Asked for a room with a view, as the rooms at the front have a lovely view. Didnt get the room at the front and the person on reception didnt even acknowledge the face that I had requested it.

Room was not clean, large cobwebs clearly visible. Safe did not work in our room and when we complained the staff were initially incredulous and then when we complained again we were told that someone would come to our room and check it out. It never happened. The extractor fan in the ensuite did not work. Also ensuite shower was not clean. When we told the staff of the above problems on checkout there was little attempt to offer a discount or credit note. Staff experiences were mixed. Reception the worst and restaurant the best. Younger staff seem to be enthusiastic but older staff in general seem to treat the customers as if they are a slight inconvenience. Nobody seemed to want to take responsibility for taking action. Its very annoying to bring something to someones attention only for it to be ignored. If this hotel wants to stay in business then maybe getting the basics right would be a good start. Its not rocket science.

	We got what we expected for the price we paid. Not a hotel i would recommend for a luxury weekend away but for value for money break with two teenagers it was in a perfect location. The rooms were clean and comfortable but No room service! and kitchens closed at 9pm! So no bar food etc after that time.

The Doors going into the bedrooms constantly bang the hinge system needs to be adjusted to prevent this banging. A tour group began moving out at 6.00am and we never got any sleep after that with the contsant banging of doors. This also woke us when guests starting coming back to their bedrooms after their night out. We were very tired after the weekend and didnot get much sleep when we were being constantly awoken by this banging of doors. No other problems with the rest of our stay only to say that the service by the waitress's in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

Website is misleading, The bar is trendy on the Website it was far from Trendy. Dinner was not up to standard at all it was very rushed. I ordered a baby bowl for my one year old I got mashed potatoes & gravy no veg and they charged me ?5 for this! The dining room set up was pretty shabby every table had different chairs at it! During the day you could only get pre packed sandwiches from the bar. The bathroom in our room had no ventilation. On a good note the staff were all very nice and friendly.

	Overall the Majestic is quite good. The rooms are clean and well equipped if a little on the small side. The bar food lets it down and I could not recommend that to anybody. Also the evening meal lacks choice although what is on offer turned out to be quite good.
