	The Hotel was great. Great atmosphere, in particular in the evenings, lovely and quiet even though lots of people about, staff are all very helpful and friendly, food was excellent, will definitely be returning for another stay and would recommend it for a lovely relaxing weekend. Close enough to city centre but still away from 'the maddening crowds'.

	Lovely hotel, with a friendly owner and well trained staff. It would be an ideal venue for a wedding. The food was excellent and the dining room has a lovely view of the river and waterford city.

we found from the out-set that the staff made us very welcome and made us feel at ease.the hotel has that warm feeling,which makes you feel at home. the food was top class and well presented. we dined in the restaurant(zaks) each evening because of this.our room was at the back of the hotel which gave us a view of the gardens and the city(perfect) the staff work very hard and support one another. this is good. we will be back and have passed on our experinces to others. regards frank and valerie.

	The hotel is really lovely. We enjoyed our stay very much and would happily stay there again. The staff are all very professional and the service in the restuarant as well as the rest of the hotel is above usual standard without being intrusive.

	Wonderful food, wonderful service, large spacious room with a view of the river. Not really a "boutique" hotel, though, as all rooms were identical from what I could see.

	We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Firstly all the staff were very friendly and helpful in their manner and very professional at their work, the hotel is lovely the rooms were spacious, lovely decor and very clean. We had Dinner on Saturday night and lunch on Sunday the food was lovely. Overall a very pleasant stay and we will be returning

	Our stay was peaceful & trannquill.The delight of a walk at Mahon Falls,a wander around Waterford City,getting dressed in the evening for dinner,& the joy of walking from your room to the most exquisite restaurant & to be greetad at all times by professional, friendy staff.An experience to be repeted

	Both my wife and myself had a wonderful stay, food fab, staff very very helpful indeed. Hotel itself very cosy indeed it was our first time to stay in the new boutique style hotel and its an experience we will repeat.

	The food was fantastic, the staff very helpful and the accommodation very comfortable. My only complaint relates to poor sound-proofing between rooms as I was woken by noisy neighbours twice.

This hotel is a little gemand our stay there met eveerything we had planned for the weekend. All the staff there were just brilliant. I don't usually mention individual names of staff members but I feel I have to pay particular compliment ti Annika (I hope I spelt the name right). Annika is everything I believe a good service provider should be, polite, couteous, knowledgable and yet good fun while carrying out her duties efficiently. Here is an example of the perfect barperson, waiteress. Try not to loose her.

we really enjoyeed our stay in the Athenaeum, staff were very attentive and the food in Zaks restaurant was very goodgood, also the breakfast rooms were nice and the only negative thing i would say is that it was a very cold day when we arrived and the fire lighting in the reception hall would have been very welcoming and also in the lounge, we will return as we liked the area and want to try some of the restaurants in Waterford city that were recommened to us

	this was the best place we stayed on our entire trip! Clean, updated rooms, flat screen tv, internet service, great food in the restaraunt- also the best dinner our whole trip! Also, very quiet, but close to the hustle and bustle of Waterford.

I have stayed in alot of hotels and the Athenaeum far surpassed all my expectations . The room was huge, with a cd player which was an extra nice touch. Upon arrival we were greeted by Marcus , who made us feel beyond welcome. The food was amazing , perfectly cooked and excellent portions , if only more hotels could aspire to be a fraction like the Athenaeum. The staff worked like a family together and their attention to detail was superb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone- and I have . This is a perfect location for a romantic weekend or just to relax and get away but at the same time being in easy access of Waterford City. We both had a fabulous time .

	anthenaeum house is for that relaxing break away from thehussle & bustle of normal liife. The staff are extremely friendly & courteous. The rooms are spacious & clean. the food was delicious. If I was to comment on the menu in the restaurant it could do with a little more variety. Over all this house hotel is beautiful & i will recommend it to friends & family.

	We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very comfortable although decor a little dark. Food was fab , staff were very friendly and location over the water was beautiful. It's a shame that the gardens have not been developed more.

	I found the hotel and staff to be very professional. My one comment is, according to the booking form and site, children were not allowed in the hotel. This was not the case upon arrival, I have children myself but we were looking for a quiet weekend, which we got as the kids were well behaved. The food and service were excellent and the rooms were well appointed and very clean

	We were very happy with our stay at Atheneaum House Hotel. The atmosphere was very friendly and the staff professional. Food good, ambience excellent and the location on the perimeter of Waterford City ideal as it provided peace and tranquility and easy access to local amenities. Would definitely recommend it.

	from the moment we arrived all the Staff were extremley welcoming and friendly .The hotel is tucked away just outside waterford ideal for quiet relaxing weekends.The food in the hotel is beautifull from paninis to breakfast to beautiful evening meals and delicious deserts. Im already planning my return.

	Our saty was very pleasant and the staff were excellent. however there was a mistake made at booking out where we were undercharged. We later received a letter pointing this out and informing me that a further charge had been made on my Laser Card. While I do not dispute the charge i was concerned that a further charge had been made on my laser card without my authorisation.

	Leaves a lot to be desired in terms of its 4* status, more like a basic 3*. It feels like you are driving into someones back yard when driving into the hotel as the driveway is shared with several private houses.

	A beautiful hotel, Rooms, Restaurant etc all great, the decor was amazing, the beds were so comfy and the service was excellent, the only down side was that the hotel has a beautiful green area with lots of potential out the back, it would be great if they could landscape it and make a lovely garden

	The Athenaeum House is a nice hotel. The rooms have a nice decor and are very comfortable. The restaurant 'Zacks' serves lovely food and has a good choice on the menu and wine list. Recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.

	Fab hotel for a relaxing breek. The beds are amazing - all you want to do is sleep.... Just as well thay have an amazing shower to wake you up.Recommend this hotel if you are looking to relaz & chill.
