An excellent hotel- sympathetically converted from the station - with nice touches - small toy train on the key ring, pictures of trains in the hallway etc. Pleasant views from the comfortable bed room over the swimming pool and from the dining room towards the village. Good food at dinner and an excellent breakfast buffet. Pity the weather was so cold but there was a welcoming fire in the lounge.

We enjoyed the lounge and and outside sitting areas - comfortable and tasrefully appointed - but not sure about the paintings! Restaurant pleasant, good food and attentive staff.

This is a beautifully kept, relaxing romantic hotel. Fantastic staff despite my lack of Spanish, gorgeous pool and gardens. Highly recommend it

Excellent in every way. Great position, very good restaurant, very friendly and efficient owners, wish we had booked a longer stay. Will go back.

The hotel is comfortable, friendly, efficient and well laid out with places to sit and relax both inside and out. I dined in the restaurant and the food and wine is of a good standard and the serving staff are attentive. The hotel is ideally placed for a visit to the ancient town of Bocairent.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, quiet and very clean. We ate in the resturant both in the evening and for breakfast and on both occassions the food was excellent. We have already recomended this hotel to our friends. An excellent place to stay if you visiting the surrounding area as we were for a few days.

The sense of calm throughout the hotel provided a relaxing environment for myself and my wife. To sit in the Courtyard on the comfortable sofa with a glass of Rioja and a good book was exactly what we were hoping for. The food was excellent, with the Steak and Orange Sauce being a particular delight, so much so that if I can find the recipe I will be making it at home ! Overall excellent value and my compliments to both the owners and, in particular, the serving staff in the restaurant who were both attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has good facilities and has been tastefully decorated. The restaurant offered good value for money and the food was well presented and delicious.

Hidden gem. Will definitely recommend. Has everything a discerning traveller would need. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 was because of minor things which you may find in a better hotel, e.g. tea/coffee facilities in room, English speaking news channel on tv, hot food at breakfast.

I've stayed here 4 times now. The first time I showed up I was on a motorbike and rather bedraggled. I asked if there was a safe place to park my bike and the hotelier (Mats Lodder) was exceptionally helpful, showing me a side gate to the hotel with a lockable gate. He even helped get it parked up in there. The hotel is stylish and comfortable and the restaurant is, to my tastes, really good. The set meal available for a full table is exceptionally good value and runs to I think 5 mouth watering courses. I have no hesitations in recommending this hotel, which makes the maintenance of high standards in accomodation and food look easy.

Problem was that in the evenings there is no one available speaking a single word of another language except Spanish

El hotel es muy acogedor y la piscina y jardines, aunque no los usamos, son preciosos. Las habitaciones son bonitas, pero los cuartos de baño deberían ser renovados. Estan limpios, pero tienen una aparencia bastante vieja, que desmejoran la imagen del hotel. En cuanto al restaurante, a pesar de tener buena comida, deberían plantearse hacer un espacio para no fumadores o tomar otras medidas, ya que nosotros, que no fumamos, acabamos con los ojos llorosos por el humo y con la ropa que apestaba a bar.

They manage to achieve the perfect blend of friendly but unobtrusive service. The hotel facilities are excellent and the surrounding area is perfect for exploring. Whatever the weather, this hotel offers a relaxed and charming break from the routine.

Excellent. Lovely setting with careful decor. Breakfast v good and the evening meal a wonderful one. Walking to the town is easy.
