This place is for those who prefer something different to the Ikea matchwood specials... It may not be the most lego land of hotels...The furniture and decor are both stunning and interesting... it really does have an awful lot of CHARACTER!!!!.... I think a lot of people these days have forgotten what that word actually means. I found the staff absolutely fine, then again I always treat people the way I expect to be treated myself..and not in an arrogant manner , I believe this place is one of the last existing REAL places to go before you die... Try it out ...If you have an adventurous nature..If you are BLAND...Don't bother.

We stayed in the Lodge across the road which had a four poster bed and Jacuzzi and was pretty comfortable. Staff were fairly stretched on the ground but the food was excellent - both evening meal and breakfast.

we stayed on 19th june for one night and had a great time, will definately be back. The food was great, the atmosphere very friendly and the band were fantatstic

It was fabulous fun! We were there for a friend's 40th birthday, so everything from the food to the music was spot on! We stayed in the new building across the road and the rooms were lovely. Our friend's stayed in the main hotel and although the rooms were very authentic, they were also a little spooky...so we were quite pleased to be in the new area!

Had a wonderful nights stay at the drovers in the luxury jacuzzi room, which is unique and lush!! Staff were friendly, food was fab! A wonderful stay better than a travel lodge any day!!!

My stay at the Drovers Inn was amazing. Even though the weather was bad, the Inn and the staff were so wonderful that I didn't mind being stuck inside most of my stay. Also, the food served there is excellent. I'd go all the way back just to get another one of their steak and onion sandwiches.

In all my years of travelling, nothing matches the Drovers experience. The staff, the food, the decor, the room - completely outstanding. The ambience in this little Scottish haven is completely unique. Perhaps too difficult for words. The international staff are happy, sincere, and just downright nice people. A place that would make any Scot feel proud with goosebumps. Thankyou The Drovers for an unforgettable time.

The Drovers is an intriguing mix of old weird & modern tatty. We absolutely loved it. The expensive bar almost warranted a dropped point (£12.50 for an extremely poor bottle of wine and no choice) but good spirit prices (and 35ml measures) balanced it out. The food is perhaps a little pricey but the quality is fantastic. The place is an absolute gem and totally unique.
We shall be staying again.

Drover's Inn was a perfect start to our Scottish holiday. The food was great, the atmosphere warm and the beds comfortable. What more could one want. My only complaint would be that we didn't encounter any ghosts!

it was an experience I can't wait to repeat. A four poster jaccuzi in your room is just absolute luxury. The rest of the hotel is very eccentric but in a good way. food and service were good.

The accommodation in the main building is 'atmospheric' and my wife did not like it. We moved to the lodge which was much nicer. Apparently few women like the main building!

The Lodge was good, but perhaps not as good as you might expect for this price. The Inn and the location is wonderfull, we have had an very nice evening with good food and drink, also the breakfast the next morning was great!

It was a great experience! Glad we stayed in the lodge which had comfortable en suite rooms and not the Drovers Inn itself. Good honest food and great atmosphere in the bar.
