I would quite happily recommend Riverside to anyone wanting to stay in Sligo. The rooms were clean and tidy, the staff efficient and helpful. Access to shops and pubs was just a comfortably short walk and the view over the river, beautiful.

I found this hotel to be very centrally located with no need for taxis's. The suites were very roomy,inexpensive and the staff most friendly. The room looked a little tired and as a single female visitor I found that I was a little wary as the hotel is located close to a housing estate. However I would recommend this hotel and will indeed stay there again when I next visit Sligo.

Excellent value suite in lovely location overlooking the river Garavogue. Staff were always friendly and helpful and we had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 days in Sligo. Only slight blemish was a couple of drunk people shouting outside the room at 3am on first night (although not really the hotel's fault!).

We stayed for two days. The rooms were clean and bright and we had a nice view of the river. Easy walk into town, and very helpful staff. Only issue we found was parking. We had to pay for unsecured on-street parking beside hotel

the hotel was clean and comfortable with a nice view on the river. It also had a free parking place. If you book a double room it is best not to book any breakfast because you have to eat in your room and there is no fridge, microwave etc. Better book a suite if you want to have breakfast!

This Hotel was a pleasure to stay in.
The rooms were extremely spacious apartments, beautifully decor, with a lovely Balcony view over the river, and pleasent, friendly reception staff!
This was my 3rd time staying and i will be looking forward to staying with Riverside Suites Hotel anytime i visit Sligo!

I was very impressed with this hotel. A suite is the same price as that of a room in other hotels nearby. It is a 5 minute walk from the city centre and yet quiet at night time. The view of the river is beautiful. I would def recommend this hotel.

We were looking for a self catering place to stay at while in Sligo. It was also important that the hotel be located in a convienient location for walking around the town. Well, Riverside Suites Hotel sure fit the bill. We were just several blocks from the center of town. Minutes to great dining and nice little pubs. A grocery store is within sight. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and much larger than expected. It was very clean and extremely comfortable. The balcony was a nice feature. Not to mention the great price. The staff couldn't have been anymore helpfull. They do provide Wi-Fi and we were even able to connect in our room. There was more than enough items in the kitchen to survive. They had extras downstairs if you needed more of anything. They don't have an ice machine but the girl at the counter was nice enough to get us some from the bar and even delivered it to our room. We bought a bag downtown for later in the evening at undet 1 euro. All in all, if we come back to Sligo, this will be where we will be staying. No complaints at all from these two Americans. Thanks to all who made our visit an enjoyable one. I amost forgot to mention, what a great part of town this is in. Right on the edge of town where the private residences started. Next to a lovely river with quaint views. I do see where parking could possibly be an issue if they were very busy, however public parking is just a few steps away but were able to park free right out in front.

The staff at reception were really friendly . Our overnight stay was for our wedding anniversary and when we went to our apartment the staff had left a bottle of wine and we have a beautiful river view which we thought was a lovely gesture.

Parking is problematic, there being so little available. Also the lack of breakfast facilities takes from the hotel. On the plus side, the suite was excellent for the price and the hotel is within easy walking distance of shops, pubs etc. Free wi-fi was very welcome.

We enjoyed our stay at the riverside suites it was a short walk to the town centre and the view out the window was lovely and the separation of the bedroom and the living room was a lovely idea and our own separate kitchen came in handy.the only downside to the stay was that coming in late at night the card would not work on the main door and we had to wait for some time before any of the staff would let us in.the tv channels were also very limited.however If I were to visit Sligo again I would definitely want to stay at the riverside suites

The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel rooms were clean, well laid out and very roomy. Location is ideal as you are only a short walk from the centre of Sligo town.
Even though the hotel was busy while we were there, the noise levels weren't bad in the room.
Wifi was available in the rooms, which was great. However, there was no room safe, which was a negative for us.
Otherwise the facilities in the room were excellent, with a separate sitting room and kitchenette, complete with fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster etc.
Partking was a slight problem also. Parkng is extremely limited but this could be helped if spaces were lined out properly as they only seem to be on one side of the car park.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money.

As usual, a great experience and great value. Only negatives are lack of parking or alternative arrangements with nearby carparks, and a very strong smell of old cigarette smoke in the room when we checked in. Nothing major though - will come again!

I would recommend Riverside Apartments to anyone looking for good accommodation in Sligo Cit centre or within walking distance of the hospital. Excellent value for money and as close to everything you'd visit Sligo for as it's possible to get.
We had a one bed apartment. It was beautiful. Clean and tidy, well equipped, overlooking the river, quiet and in an excellent location for the city centre. Staff are extremely helpfu and obliging. There's a corner shop a few doors down for essential supplies (including vegetarian food :-))
I enjoyed my stay there very much. I expect to be back again a few times between now and the summer.

The suite in Riverside Suite hotel was very clean and nicely furnished. We were very happy with the rooms. However, the appearance of the hotel from the carpark and the darkness of the reception area on arrival made the hotel very uninviting. The receptionist could not cut the key card for us until a couple of hours after check in, and there was no remote for the tv in the room. The food box we ordered was delivered before we went out that night so it was in plenty time for breakfast. I like the convenience of ordering a breakfast box as we were able to get up leisurely the next morning.
On checking out, it was very inconvenient to be unable to use the debit card and we had to delay leaving Sligo as we went to find an ATM.

Some little bits that could improve; Light switch at bathroom does only operate when main lights in the bedroom are on too. Shower head is broken and the bath is filling up at the same time too. TV is only an ornament on the wall since there is no sky. The window in the kitchen/launch area is broken and does not close fully. Overall it was ok, as it enabled us to stay in Sligo instead of traveling home to Ballymote after a night home and would consider staying again if the price was not higher than € 60 per room.

The room was very comfortable and pretty much as I expected ie a hotel style room with a living area/kitchen adjoining. I enjoyed staying there. The kitchen could have been better equipped - the pots were rusty, there were no t-towels or cleaning cloths. There's not enough parking, and the presence of a large skip in front of the main door didn't give a good impression.

Riverside Suites more than met our expectations. The suite was comfortable and roomy. The location was ideal for strolling around Sligo and on site parking made side trips easy. The fabulous view across the River added an aesthetic touch. I wish there had been a coffee pot, but other than that it was perfect and a great value.

The young lady at reception was extrememly helpful, she allowed me to use the internet in relation to a query I had. The apartment was superb with a river view, excellent self catering facilities and the bedroom and bathroom were also excellent. The only other thing I would have liked is maybe a tv in the bedroom, although to be fair there was a plasma on the living room wall!!! We will definitely be back, with the kids :)

I had a great time at Riverside Suites. I booked for 1 night, planning to spend each of my 3 nights in NW Ireland in a different spot. When I saw my room, the great view over the river and the inviting deck downstairs for a drink over the river, I called down and extended my stay for a second night. The friendly staff helped me find a killer rock band playing in a pub a short walk away--The Social every Weds at Fiddler's Creek. Not being traditional Celtic music, the audience was mostly local, other musicians got invited to play, someone even persuaded me to get up and dance. Wonderful place to meet people and learn where the music would be on coming evenings. So I stayed with the friendly folk at Riverside Suites for my entire trip: they got my landry done, helped me find local sights and made my stay a pleasure. Diane, Wellington, New Zealand

This hotel is ideal for those who want to self cater. The two receptionists we met during our weeks stay were most helpfull and friendly. The Jasmine Thai restaurant within the hotel provided excellent food and good value deals. Would recommend this hotel to others and will certaintly return in the near furture.

I recently had a one night stay in the Riverside Suites Sligo. The suites are in a perfect location, right in the centre of Sligo and only a 5 minute walk from all the bars and restaurants. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I cant fault the service that they gave. The room was spacious but unfortunately it smelled quite bad, almost like very stale smoke. I was in Sligo for an event and did not spend much time in the room, however this would not have been acceptable if I wished to spend more time in the room.

Everyone was incredibly helpful - from the desk clerk who recommended that we switch rooms in advance of a hen party's arrivatl, which ensured our baby's restful sleep through the night, to Padraic, the pub manager driving me to his friend's shop in order to help satisfy me quest to find a Mac computer in Sligo. Everyone went above and beyond in order to welcome us with authentic hospitality and comfort. The suite was spacious and contained everything we needed. We will definitely recommend the Riverside to our friends and co-workers.

The suite itself was very spacious, clean and had everything you could possibly require for self catering accommodation. The view over the river was excellent. The car parking is a bit hit and miss. Lovely hotel, not much parking but a staff member immediately went out and moved their car for me. Beautiful rooms very tastefully decorated and huge bed. Loved the kitchen area would be great if you had kids to prepare snacks etc and a dining room table, much better than just a normal hotel room that you usually get and was cheaper than other hotels in Sligo at the time! highly recommended

Very surprised at how spacious the apartment was. The location is fantastic, as you are literally a stroll away from the heart of Sligo, but feels quite quaint as a lovely river runs beside the apartment complex. Also, it was refreshing to have friendly and courteous staff covering the reception area.

We were very satisfied with our 6 night stay at the Riverside suites. The rooms of the apartment were spacious and well furnished. The living room had a two seat sofa bed, a coffee table, dining table and plasma TV. The small kitchen area was a great addition to our stay with oven & hob, refrigerator and dishwasher. We cooked breakfast most days and several main meals during our stay but the pots and pans are in a bit of a sorry state and needed a little attention.
The bedroom was spacious with two singles joined to make a bigger than king-size bed and there were patio doors leading onto a small balcony with a pleasant view overlooking the river to the rear of the building. Bedside & dressing tables and large wardrobe provided ample storage space.
The bathroom was of a good size and had lots of hot water available, seemingly at anytime of the day.
I would recommend this hotel and will use again when in the area.
As mentioned by other reviewers the reception is not always manned but staff can be quickly and easily contacted from the phone in reception and I found them to be very friendly and helpful.

The staff at this hotel were more genuine, friendly and obliging than any we've ever encountered. Our room had a lovely outlook over the river and was peaceful and quiet, but I'm aware that the other side of the hotel can become noisy at times. Some basic items were missing from our room, but these things were quickly replaced on request.

Lovely spacious & clean accomodation, nice views from the rooms, very friendly staff, close to centre of town, pubs, restaurants etc & close to lots of nice amenities in Co.Sligo - beaches, mountains etc etc.

We loved this place, it was far nicer than we expected and the view from our rooms was lovely. The staff were tremendous. My only complaint is that I could not get the Internet connection to work in my room, and it's something I rely on when I travel. My parents' room had a strong signal but it didn't reach the room where we were. We stayed in what looks like the new wing, using a wireless booster or access point to boost the signal might benefit people who stay in the future. I plan on getting back to Sligo and will definitely stay here again, though I may plan to travel with my own portable booster just to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Thank you for such a lovely stay, I will definitely be back for another (and much longer) visit.

The suite I had overlooked the river which was a nice surprise.
The room was very good, clean, spacious and more than I expected.
The only downside was the noise made by the fan in the bathroom. Every time I switched the light on the fan automatically started and made a terrible noise.
Overall though it was a very good room.

Fabulous accomodation! Would definitely recommend staying here! I loved the layout of the apartment with kitchen and separate bedroom. Really clean and had everything we needed - fridge, kettle, toaster, glasses etc. Very friendly staff. Top marks!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and thought the staff where extremly helpful, any requests were dealt with promptly. The rooms were extremly spacious and well equipped.

I stayed in a 2 bed suite with a few girlfriends at the end of Sep and to my surprize was pleasantly surprized as the apartment was really spacious and very clean. It had all the mod cons you needed & I would recommend this for both girly weekend awqys and for family breaks due to the reasonable cost.

We stayed as a group at riverside suites and were very impressed with the facilities and our rooms had a lovely view over the river. The location was also ideal right near the center of town. The staff were very friendly and efficent and very helpful.I would recommend this as a place to stay in sligo!

We stayed there for a week. We expected a "fully equipped kitchen" to have at least a coffeemaker. We don't like to go to restaurants all of the time, that's why we choose accommodations with kitchens. But we had to go out for coffee, and for us that is a reason not to come back unless.....

I was very impressed with the apartments - very spacious, clean & all the facilities you'd require - we had a lovely apartment, facing out onto the river. Staff was very nice & helpful throughout our stay. Great location for town, shops pubs etc. I would definitely recommend these apartments

Excelent suite with full amenities. Fantastic stay at the hotel - I have never met hotel staff more friendly and helpful than the girls on the reception at Riverside. They were great :-) The gym was an added bonus!!

Clean,tidy,tastefully decorated with helpful and friendly staff.Car park is small.We didn't eat in the restaurant but found a fab coffee shop just 2 mins away called Cafe Viktor-would highly recommend a visit.

The Riverside Suites Hotel is one of the best places I've stayed at in many trips to Ireland. The suites are large modern and well equiped. They are also geat value for money. The receptionist was very helpful and found me a room with riverside view even though I hadn't been allocated one. I was very impressed.

This hotel is a little gem. The suites are spacious well furnished and tastefully decorated. The equipment in the kitchen is all there. The beds are extremely comfotable. apartments spacious & clean, however not serviced regularly. Had to ask for clean towels & toilet rolls. Alot of noise from bar on the Saturday evening. Went on until 1.30am so if you want a quiet room ask for the 3rd floor away from bar!!

Lovely new hotel very near town centre, rooms huge. On the downside, room could have been cleaner - water marks on bathroom surfaces & "evidence" of the previous occupants still in toilet! Only a minor hitch on an otherwise pleasant stay.
