I took my mother to the Clarion as her Mothers Day gift. We had a fantastic 4 course meal in the Oriental restaurant, some treatments followed by an equally relaxing time in the Leisure Centre. There was live entertainment in the bar that night which was the perfect ending to a perfect day!!! Thank you Clarion.	report this review as inappropriate

When we arrived at the Clarion Hotel for a two night stay we were surprisingly upgraded to a superior suite which we were delighted with. The room was so spacious and clean. The facilities at this hotel were second to none. Travelling with a small baby I had my reservations but everything was fantastic. The staff were all so helpful in particular Vilma on reception and the gentleman who organised our dinner. thanks for a great break.	report this review as inappropriate

We found the staff to be helpful on our booking in, the rooms were clean and a good size, we ate in both restaurants and the food was tasty and there was a nice selection to choose from. booked a room, but it turned out to be an apartment, Arrived late so too late for food in restaurant. Could Not get room service as we were in an apartment. YOung child needed food. was not impressed had to beg the concierge to send us food... If I had known restaurant closed for orders we would have eaten on the way. This was my first time staying in the Clarion in Sligo but we always stay in the Clarion in Liffey Valley so we were very happy to find the same friendliness and helpfulness from the staff and the lovely comfortable rooms that we have come to expect from the clarion group.	report this review as inappropriate

Very good facilities and very child friendly. There was absolutely no problem with children being the restaurants or bars at anytime. The only criticism was the lack of staff on the Reception Desks and the quality of the customer service they delivered. It took far too long to check in and out. Apart from one receptionist, the staff on the desks seemedly hassled and not very keen to be helpful!	report this review as inappropriate

I stayed with my wife 2 children and mother in law in a 2 bedroom apartment. The hotel was fantastic value for money and was superb. I will definitely stay there again. My children loved the pool and the kids club. My wife and mother in law each had a treatment and thought it was excellent. Overall a fantastic hotel.	report this review as inappropriate

We stayed in an apartment suite which was lovely but we were surrounded by plenty of stag & hen weekends... not too much noise though thankfully. Food in the Kudos bar is very dissapointing & not cheap but otherwise have nothing negative to say about the hotel at all.	report this review as inappropriate

A great Hotel for Families - we have 2 boys aged 11 & 15 and the apartment worked out great for us - very good value - only tiny down side is the labyrinth of corridors but once you get used to it its fine	report this review as inappropriate

We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival to be told that we had been upgraded to a suite, thanks to Lorraine Reynolds, Supervisor. She was aware it was my mum's 60th and we had booked 4 rooms. It was a very pleasant surprise. The service during our stay was very good. My only negative comment would be when we arrived at reception, it was badly organised. We were left standing for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us, they were chatting among themselves. Overall very pleased.	report this review as inappropriate

we throughly enjoyed our stay. the suite really gave the parents a time to relax as well as the children. The grounds of the hotel are fantastic. We would definetly return to stay at the hotel again. the facilities for the children were good also. however there would be one complaint i would have was regards the thai restaurant where we ate the first night of our stay and service was slow. Accomodation was excellent. Use of the pool was great especially for my younger children as it kept them amused. Facilities in the apartment with regrd to the "kitchenette" were sparse. As the accomodation is advertised as a fully equiped kitchenette I was expecting to be able to cook. There was no welcome pack in the apartments which would have been helpful to explain the running of the hotel and it's facilities. The Clarion Hotel, Sligo is a lovely modern hotel with modern rooms, good food and great leisure centre and spa. It is very family friendly and the staff are wonderful. The Thai Food in the Kudos bar is excellent and very reasonable. The only complaint is the Guinness is terrible. There was a minor problem with our booking, but the hotel was very busy with a conference and tour bus stay so may be understandable. However they sorted it out very efficiently and upgraded us to a suite! Main reception area is not obvious when you walk in and the hotel was very busy. Very difficult to find the hotel and road signs directing you were confusing. Suite was very large - in fact too large - did not use half of it.	report this review as inappropriate

The Clarion in Sligo is a very good/clean hotel. My only problem with it is the fact that if you don't get your breakfast included with your room the cost of a full Irish is 16.00 euros which you only find out when you go to pay for it.
