comments The hotel was lovely. Very friendly staff, very comfortable rooms and very nice food. The facilities for our baby were also fantastic and the pool in the hotel was gorgeous. The only one negative I had was with the TV service. As parents of a young baby, we ended up back in our room quite early in the evening, and there were no movies available to watch, the reception was terrible, and the operating system for the tv kept breaking down and the tv kept switching off. it was quite annoying to be honest. It didn't ruin our stay though as we had plenty to do in Sligo and the surrounding area during the daytime. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with families.

comments Really enjoyed our stay in the Clarion. We were a bit disappointed that the hotel was quiet which meant that the dining room was closed and that all meals were served in the Kudos restaurant. Overall really enyed the trip.

comments We booked 2 apartments as we have 3 small children, and the rooms were fine but had too much furniture. also the way back to reception from the apartments could do with better signage as it was very easy to take a wrong turn. the kids play room was great. we will be back!

comments I stayed at the Clarion Hotel for 2 nights in mid August 2008 with my husband and 2 children, aged 9 and 11. The rooms were very spacious, spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was superb with lots of choice and very relaxed with their times. The pool and other leisure facilities were also well up to standard and I would certainly be happy to recommend it to others.

comments the clarion is a lovely hotel, rooms are fabulous and the thai food is gorgeous. staff are very helpful. can be difficult to locate you room if you aren't staying in the main part of the bulding but all in all i would highly recommend it.

comments I am a wheelchair user and usually worry beforehand about the suitability of accomodation. I need not have worried. My room was excellent, the hotel very accessible and I was able to be independent in all public areas. The food was first class and the staff approachable and friendly. Would definately recommend this hotel and I hope to return in the near future.

comments There is lots of parking close to the main hotel which is an important consideration for older customers. The bedrooms are very comfortable and well furnished. the staff were very helpful and attentive. The public areas, particularly the bar, are a little cold and lacking in character. Overall we were quite satisfied.

comments This is a lovely hotel. The apartments are fabulous and a lot cheaper than you might expect, sometimes cheaper than room deals. It is about 20 mins walk outside Sligo town. but it's worth it. It's a quiet area too. Leisure centre was fine too.

comments The Friday night I drove from Cork, I got to the bar after 10pm, which was cut off time to order bar food. Thankfully one waitress was able to get us a sandwich, which I and my friend was very greatful for, we were exhausted. We were in the apartments and therefore unable to order room service. The apartments are idea.

comments We as a family of 6 and we really enjoyed our stay in the apartments of the Hotel.The Hotel staff were lovely but the staff of the main restaurant were to say very unorganised.Kids loved the kids club and the girls there were great.Pool was very nice also.The accomadition was excellent,rooms huge and very very clean we all had plenty of room.The buliding itself when you drive up is very impressive. Will definately be back in the summer...Just one little grip,the lifts from the hotel to the apartment blocks are a nightmare needs better signage ........

comments The apartment works very well for families with small children. The beds are very comfortable and having a sitting room and kitchenette is very convenient. The kitchen should be better equiped, for example with a bottle/tin opener, washing-up liquid, sweeping brush/pan.

comments Having arrived at the hotel we were delighted to be told we had been upgraded to a suite for our stay. The suite itself was extremely confortable with a large bedroom with all you could need, a very nice bathroom and a laged Sitting room/kitchen separate from the two comprising of a three piece suite, TV, diningg room table & chairs and a fully equipted kitchenette. It was great, so great in fact upon checking out the next morning (we were guests at a wedding) we decided we wanted to stay an extra night and were lucky enough to to be able to book into another suite straight away! All in all the Clarion was a lovely confortable hotel with everything we could possibly have needeed.

comments I took my mother to the Clarion as her Mothers Day gift. We had a fantastic 4 course meal in the Oriental restaurant, some treatments followed by an equally relaxing time in the Leisure Centre. There was live entertainment in the bar that night which was the perfect ending to a perfect day!!! Thank you Clarion.

YOung child needed food. was not impressed had to beg the concierge to send us food... If I had known restaurant closed for orders we would have eaten on the way. comments Very good facilities and very child friendly. There was absolutely no problem with children being the restaurants or bars at anytime. The only criticism was the lack of staff on the Reception Desks and the quality of the customer service they delivered. It took far too long to check in and out. Apart from one receptionist, the staff on the desks seemedly hassled and not very keen to be helpful!

comments I stayed with my wife 2 children and mother in law in a 2 bedroom apartment. The hotel was fantastic value for money and was superb. I will definitely stay there again. My children loved the pool and the kids club. My wife and mother in law each had a treatment and thought it was excellent. Overall a fantastic hotel.

comments We stayed in an apartment suite which was lovely but we were surrounded by plenty of stag & hen weekends... not too much noise though thankfully. Food in the Kudos bar is very dissapointing & not cheap but otherwise have nothing negative to say about the hotel at all.

comments We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival to be told that we had been upgraded to a suite, thanks to Lorraine Reynolds, Supervisor. She was aware it was my mum's 60th and we had booked 4 rooms. It was a very pleasant surprise. The service during our stay was very good. My only negative comment would be when we arrived at reception, it was badly organised. We were left standing for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us, they were chatting among themselves. Overall very pleased.

comments we throughly enjoyed our stay. the suite really gave the parents a time to relax as well as the children. The grounds of the hotel are fantastic. We would definetly return to stay at the hotel again. the facilities for the children were good also. however there would be one complaint i would have was regards the thai restaurant where we ate the first night of our stay and service was slow.

comments Accomodation was excellent. Use of the pool was great especially for my younger children as it kept them amused. Facilities in the apartment with regrd to the "kitchenette" were sparse. As the accomodation is advertised as a fully equiped kitchenette I was expecting to be able to cook. There was no welcome pack in the apartments which would have been helpful to explain the running of the hotel and it's facilities. Iwould return as overall the stay was great value for money

comments The Clarion Hotel, Sligo is a lovely modern hotel with modern rooms, good food and great leisure centre and spa. It is very family friendly and the staff are wonderful. The Thai Food in the Kudos bar is excellent and very reasonable. The only complaint is the Guinness is terrible. Bar staff not able to pull a pint of Guinness properly!

comments There was a minor problem with our booking, but the hotel was very busy with a conference and tour bus stay so may be understandable. However they sorted it out very efficiently and upgraded us to a suite! Main reception area is not obvious when you walk in and the hotel was very busy. Very difficult to find the hotel and road signs directing you were confusing. Suite was very large - in fact too large - did not use half of it.

comments The Clarion in Sligo is a very good/clean hotel. My only problem with it is the fact that if you don't get your breakfast included with your room the cost of a full Irish is 16.00 euros which you only find out when you go to pay for it. It wasn't displayed anywhere that i could see this is way over priced for a standard breakfast.
