comments We really enjoyed our weekend at Castle Dargan. We were given one of the Walled Garden Suites and were delighted with the amount of room we had. The breakfast buffet was extremely good and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

comments Upon making a booking through your reservation engine, your reservations staff should forward confirmation of the booking, the package and price, as well as information on your hotel, spa, golf etc.... Reception is not at all well sign posted and is hard to find. This is quite annoying when there is no porter service available and if is raining, as we had to get out of the car on a couple of occasions to try and find the correct entry point. We had some treatments booked and when we arrived the receptionist did not give us a schedule of treatments nor did she show us where the spa was located. The bar lacks soul and is very sterile. The choice of beers is very poor also - no Erdinger, Lech or other continental beers available. Newspapers were very hard to come by. The breakfast was fantastic and the service very good. As with the dinner, the restaurant staff were excellent, particularly the Polish girls, and the food was excellent. Excellent wine list also, and well priced. The spa was very good, bit too small. Louise was really nice and informative. treatments were of a very high standard. Overall an enjoyable experience but lakcing in attention to detail, particularly at reception.

comments Very nice hotel in scenic location. Room spacious and comfortable. views from restaurant and bar stunning. dinner was excellent v good choice, good food and good service. Continental breakfast was good great choices, but cooked breakfast was re-heated. Had requested at time of booking an upper floor room but got ground floor even though hotel was very quiet the night we stayed. Spa was great even though we had no treatments. All in all a v enjoyable short break and hope to return in summer.
