comments A nice welcome from the receptionist on arrival, we were there for the SSDT and were garbed in motorcycle gear. Our room was on the top floor with an uninterrupted view out over the loch. Adequately sized twin room, with very clean bathroom and cosmetics provided. The bar and outside beergarden overlooks the loch and hills, ideal for a sundowner before dinner. A good selection on the menu catered for all tastes (not particularly Scottish, but if you want fresh seafood go to the seafood centre down the road towards Kinlochleven) and was cooked and presented well. The breakfast was excellent, staff were great, and would set even the biggest eater up for the day. I would stay again without hesitation.

comments Our most enjoyable stay in Onich Hotel commenced the moment we arrived at Reception where we were warmly welcomed by attractive staff who said they were pleased to see us and hoped we had a good journey (about 120 miles ). We had a splendid room ,large bright,nicely decorated and with a balcony overlooking the garden,Loch Linnhe,and away to the hills of Glencoe and Morvern beyond. Although termed a "Twin room" there was a double and a single bed, which gave a nice choice. The " hospitality tray could perhaps be a little larger, but again there was a fairly large table for use as required. We did not use the iron or iorning board also available. Two files contained details of Hotel services,menues etc., and also suggestions of things to do,and places to see during our stay. Meals were served in either the dining room or in the lounge bar where there was a living flame fire,(albeit gas). Breakfast could be anything from a slice of toast to a full Scottish breakfast,-This was delicious although risky for weight watchers. All in all this was a most enjoyable stay in a comfortable and welcomming hotel in which staff seemed to go out of their way to attend to the wishes of guests .Although it is likely that individual staff members have their "Off days"now and then there always was a smile and readiness to deal with our questions and/or "gossipy"chat as if we were the only folk seeking information or assistance. Although there must have been a tremendous amount of work being done "backstage" as it were,we never saw this being done or were we inconvenienced by it,but we certainly were aware of the effective results. Our short stay in Onich was a most enjoyable one in which we were "pamperred"in conditions which in our experience of such establishments never have been surpassed.

comments Only stayed one night as part of a b/day treat for partner - arrived slightly early but room was ready soon after. Pleasantly surprised to find we had one of the larger rooms with balcony overlooking the loch, which made the day (despite the bad weather!) Room was clean and comfortable with a nice big bath and separate shower. Pre booked dinner as part of the deal and the choice on the set menu was very good - good hearty breakfast the next morning and all staff were lovely and friendly. Def stay again for longer.

comments Having been to the Onich on previous occasions for food and drinks, this is the first time that we have stayed. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, especially on reception. The only negative comment, is that there was just one member of staff behind the bar for most of the evening, to serve all drinks and take food orders. She did very well, but it was extremely busy and meant that we had to join a queue everytime we needed to order food and drinks. The rooms were very comfortable and the food great, also fantastic location, We would definitely stay at the Onich again. Thanks

comments Overall mark of 5 is given because the problem with the room on arrival (no window catch!) was dealt with swiftly and pleasantly, and a replacement room quickly followed. The staff are wonderful, combining a genuine desire to help with the professional services provided throughout the hotel departments. The restaurant provided good menus which translated into excellent food. On our way back from the Inner Hebrides, the Onich Hotel was our first port of call for a warm welcome and morning coffee.

The hotel was in a lovely situation - the only bad thing was the evening meal which was very poor but on mentioning this, staff were very understanding and the situation was resolved to our total satisfaction. comments Beautiful location. The weather was not great, but the hotel pub was warm and the staff friendly. Front desk staff was helpful and we were always greeted warmly. We did not eat in the dining room but the menu looked wonderful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the Loch view was amazing. Only problem was one night being able to hear the people in the other room talking and the ones upstairs walking around. The next night they must have been gone because we slept well.

comments We were searching the Internet for a hotel we could use as a base for a few days holiday in the Western Highlands & Islands. We settled for Onich Hotel, as it appeared to be ideal for what we had in mind. As it turned out, we're pleased to say, we were not disappointed, in fact , we were delighted with the accommodation and high standard of service. Our only moan was that we had 2 flights of stairs to climb to get to our bedroom, but this paled into insignificance when we saw the stunning view from our bedroom window. We plan to make a return visit to Onich Hotel in the autumn with the request for a bedroom on a lower floor with the same view.

comments We were very disappointed to find on arrival that our booking had not been registered by the hotel. The receptionist had to see our copy of the booking and then informed us that yes she had a room but not a loch view as we had been offered and requested. However she retrieved the situation, apologized, found us a room as planned and we had a very enjoyable time at the hotel. I do not think that you should add this comment to your review as our hope is that you can learn from this mistake and take steps to ensure no repeat.

comments The staff were extremely helpful, they provided us with a ferry timetable and weather forcast. service was both friendly and timely. the bathroom was in need of a bit of redecoration but that was a minor point and didn't detract from our enjoyment. we will certainly stay again if the opportunity arises

comments El hotel está situado junto a una playa desde la que se disfruta de unas hermosas vistas. Tanto la habitación que nos dieron como el cuarto de baño eran amplios y estaban bien equipados. La comida era cara, pero a cambio se podía acceder a internet wifi sin coste. El personal que atendía la recepción era amable y servicial. Ojo, no tiene ascensor.

comments Beautiful location and friendly staff especially the lady at front of house. Everything was as hoped. Only ate in the Bar but food was good. Would happily stay again if visiting in the area.

comments Great location (quiet with views), excellent room, excellent value even for the off-season and friendly, helpful staff. Food was good though quite pricey in bar (desserts were disappointing though). Overall very good.

comments This is a lovely hotel. The location on the edge of the loch is beautiful. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. The room was spotless and the breakfast was very good. I will definitely return to the Onich Hotel.

comments Our stay at the Onich Hotel was very pleasant. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I did upgrade to a superior room with balcony overlooking the loch and even with driving rain and a gale force winds we still had the advantage of magnificent views.

comments The hotel is in a lovely setting with fantastic views from loch facing bedrooms and eating areas. The bar menu and service is superb and preferable to the restaurant menu in my view.
