Sunny Brae represents all that is expected when visiting the Highlands of Scotland. Guests are able to enjoy the stunning sea view and peace and quiet of this small family run hotel, situated on the beautiful coast of the Moray Firth. The hotel terrace is the perfect place to unwind and watch the world go by. Whilst relaxing and enjoying the uninterrupted sea view, you may be fortunate enough to spot some of the famous Moray Firth dolphins, as well as windsurfers and yachts.

For our guests' comfort, each room has been individually fitted out and furnished to a high standard. Whenever possible, regular visitors will be given their favourite rooms. There are 8 rooms in total, 4 of which offer a panoramic view of the Moray Firth. One of our sea view rooms has been fitted out for wheelchair access.

The hotel restaurant which is recommended by taste-of-scotland.com  is very popular with both guests and locals. The menus are all personally overseen by Sylvia, and are carefully prepared from daily deliveries of quality selected local produce and the finest fresh sea food. To accompany our food we have an extensive wine list with a choice of over 100 wines which offers all the normal grape varieties and a few unusual ones. There is also a malt whisky list which also has a choice of over 100.

Guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to day time activities. Within comfortable travelling distance they can enjoy the delights of Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, Culbin Forrest, The Whisky Trail, Loch Ness, Glenaffric, Cairngorm etc. We are also delighted to organise a dolphin spotting trip from Nairn harbour with Pheonix Boat Trips.

Golfers are also very well catered for with a fantastic choice of courses nearby which include championship courses such as Nairn, Nairn Dunbar, Moray Old and "hidden gems" such as Boat of Garten, Fortrose and Rosemarkie and Hopeman.

Locally there are lovely walks to suite all abilities. Nairn is very fortunate to have an excellent promenade which offers a relaxing stroll form the harbour to Nairn Golf Club. For the more energetic Cawdor Castle is a 6 mile each way walk along the picturesque River Nairn. The Culbin Forrest offers walks of just 2 or 3 miles or for the serious walker you can walk all day going through the forrest to the fore shore and explore the deserted beach.

The hotel is a few miles from Inverness, the Highland capital, and just a short distance from all U.K rail links and 6 miles from Inverness Airport.

We pride ourselves on attention to detail - from first contact to departure - leaving our guests always with the desire to return.
