Taychreggan is a unique Scottish hotel, beautifully situated on the shores of Loch Awe, Oban, Scotland, ideal for the perfect Scottish wedding and honeymoon. The hotel rests on a spit of land that juts into the waters of Loch Awe. Sitting on its own bay, it is surrounded by water on two sides and by 40 acres of its gardens and natural woodland on the other. The ancient Courtyard and stone house have been superbly preserved. This romantic Lochside Inn also offers trout fishing and stunning forest scenery.

Accommodation: There are 20 lavishly-draped bedrooms, some with four posters, and many overlooking the loch. Standard accommodation is made up of compact but cosy double and twin rooms with a modern approach to the decor, whilst for those who require a little extra room, the superior rooms offer a more than acceptable alternative. All rooms have baths and are fitted with Aqualesa thermostatically controlled bath showers. Please be advised that the hotel does not accept children under the age of 14 years old.

Local Activities: Taychreggan has begun working with 'Lord Gray' - Tailored Tours in the West Highlands. Lord Gray, heir to one of Scotland's oldest noble families, will be your personal guide, companion and chauffeur for a days excursions. Tour can be tailored to suit each visitor's interests or requests - from viewing the areas many beautiful gardens, to visiting sites of specific historical significance.

Location: Taychreggan is located in the West Highlands in a beautiful corner of Argyll. It is magnificently positioned on its own bay and looks down Loch Awe, Scotland's longest inland loch.
From Glasgow: about 88 miles and will take 2 to 2½ hours depending on road traffic conditions. Follow the M8 (Greenock) and signs for the Erskine Bridge. This is a toll bridge (60p). When you cross the bridge, turn left, following the signpost for Crianlarich. You travel along side of Loch Lomond, and when you reach Tarbet turn right heading for the A82 Crianlarich. At Crianlarich you will turn left on to the A85 Oban road. One mile east before the village of Taynuilt, turn left onto the B845 signposted to Kilchrenan (there is also a Taychreggan sign). Hotel is 7 miles down this road. It is a single track road, so please use passing places to permit other cars to overtake.

	Suite: This two room suite is a result of our recent renovation. The Sonachan Suite has a spacious sitting room with a sofa bed for smaller guests. The bedroom has a king size double bed and is complemented by an en-suite bathroom with spa bath -- ideal for a honeymoon. There is a limited loch view. Breakfast is also included. 	Superior Double: This upgraded Superior Double Room is for two people inclusive of breakfast and is tastefully furnished and decorated in rich colours with a large bathroom and plenty of natural light. Standard Double/Twin Room: These rooms are quite small Standard Double and Continental Twin Bedded Rooms and overlook the rear of the building and face the edge of the forest.
