Accommodation Built in the 1860's, the Royal Ettrick Hotel was originally the grand town house of a rich Edinburgh barrister. The house was converted into a hotel in the 1940's, and today it is one of Edinburgh's finest small hotels. Extended in 2003, this traditional Festival Inn offers quality accommodation, value for money and a very warm welcome. With 19 bedrooms of a three star standard, conservatory restaurant, beer garden, International Bar and Lounge Bar the Royal Ettrick Hotel strives to offer a home from home.

Bar & Restaurant An extensive all day menu is served in the conservatory where weather permitting you can dine alfresco in the garden. All major sporting events are shown in the bar, which is frequented by locals and visitors alike.

How to get there Follow signs to Edinburgh city centre along the A8, through Corstorphine, Murrayfield and Haymarket. At the West End of Princes Street, turn right into Lothian Road and follow the signs to the A702 through 5 sets of traffic lights. At Tollcross (clocktower in the middle of the junction) veer right into Home Street. At the 2nd set of traffic lights by the Kings Theatre, turn right into Gilmore Place. Continue along Gilmore Place for at least half a mile over 2 sets of lights. After the 2nd set of lights, continue straight over the mini roundabout into Polwarth Terrace and take the first road on your left after the tennis courts and bowling green. The Royal Ettrick hotel is located on the corner of Ettrick Road. Take the first road on the right into Ettrick road and the car park is situated on the left hand side.
