Nearby: Culzean Castle is set on a cliff top surrounded by acres of coastal woodland Country Park, owned by the National Trust for Scotland. This relatively new distillery produces malt whiskey and has a visitor centre offering guided tours. The Burns National Heritage Park is the birthplace of poet and writer Robert Burns.
