A charming 400 year old Coaching Inn, restored and enlarged with real log fires and beamed ceilings, just 5 miles from St Andrews and the East Neuk fishing ports. The only 4-star Inn with the Scottish Tourist Board, offering bedrooms with character, modern comfort, award-winning food and cosy atmosphere. Accommodation: Bedrooms with character including The Grey Lady and Mad McGregor's, all rooms were fully refurbished in the spring of 2004, equipped with the modern traveller in mind. Top quality beds, courtesy tea/coffee tray, hair dryer, pay channel T.V., direct dial telephone, CD player with radio and full computer access. Good lighting, work surfaces, mirrors all with well positioned power sockets. Two bedrooms have facilities for the disabled. Snacks and Lunch also served Bar food & log fires in the Stables bar. How to get there: The Inn is situated only 1 hour from Edinburgh Airport and 90 min from Glasgow. From St Andrews (north) follow the A915 to Largo past Safeway supermarket and out of the town for approx 5 miles. You will pass through the village of Cameron and in about 2 miles the Inn is on the left hand side of the road. From Edinburgh (south) take the M90 and follow the signs for Kirkcaldy. Take the A915 signposted Leven to Upper Largo; in Upper Largo the A915 goes off to the left for St Andrews. Pass through Largoward and you will see the Inn on the right approximately 1 mile closer to St Andrews Nearby: There are over 40 golf courses within the Kingdom of Fife, hotel staff will help arrange your bookings. Nearby clubs include Ladybank, Crail, Kingsbarns. Local attractions include 14th century Aberdour Castle, Scottish Deer Centre, Balmerino Abbey, St Andrews Castle.
