As of the 1st December 2007, development of residential accommodation will start in the rear car park and gardens, which are no longer controlled by the hotel. The owners & main contractor have notified us that building works might operate between 7am and 4pm Mon-Friday and will run for the remaining 12 months the hotel is in operation, until the hotel ceases trading in January 2009 and the hotel bedrooms to the rear of the hotel will have obstructed views. The private gardens to the rear of the hotel will no longer be able to be used by hotel guests and car parking will be limited to the front car park only.

How to get there:From Airport - There is a bus from the airport which costs approx. £3.00 single, £5.00 return. Taxi from Shandwick Place will cost approx. £4.00 - £5.00. Taxi from the airport will cost approx. £12.00 - £15.00. From Waverley Train Station - Taxi from the station will cost approx. £4.00 - £5.00. By Car from City Bypass - Exit at the Gogar Roundabout from the A8. Turn left at the Maybury Roundabout and continue until you reach the Barnton Roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout onto the A90 and continue following signs for the city centre. Follow Queensferry Road into the City Centre and turn left into Learmonth Terrace.
