Accommodation: Located on the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh, this is a hotel with a difference. The staircase to the bedrooms is to the back of the bar through an oak panel. The rooms are located over 3 floors and the hotel does not have a lift. Each is uniquely decorated to celebrate the life of a famous Scot including the Robert Burns and James Watt executive bedrooms.

Bar & Restaurant: The ground floor is occupied with Logie Bairds Bar, which is a popular venue for both locals and visitors either dining or socialising. The reception area is located to the rear of the bar and guest breakfasts are served in the bar balcony.

The best way to introduce yourself to Edinburgh, and to get your bearings is to enjoy an open top bus ride throughout the city. How to get there: Follow signs to Edinburgh city centre along the A8, through Corstorphine, Murrayfield and Haymarket. At the West End of Princes Street, turn right into Lothian Road and take the first left into Kings Stables Road. Follow this road under the bridge until you reach the Grassmarket. At the T Junction turn left into the Grassmarket and continue through onto the Cowgate under 2 bridges. After the 2nd bridge take the 2nd road on your left, a small lane called Blackfriars Street. Turn left at the top onto the Royal Mile and the Bank Hotel is situated on the corner of South Bridge and the Royal Mile on your left hand side. You are able to park briefly on Niddry Street, which is the first street on the left before the hotel, while you are unload your luggage. Car parking is available at New Street Car Park on the Royal Mile, where guests will receive 50% discount on parking.
