Situated within the village of Alloway in the heart of Burns Country and only a short stroll from Burns Cottage itself, the original Inn was built in 1827 and was later replaced by a hotel which was restored and upgraded in 1988.
Accommodation: Awarded a 4-star rating, the Brig O'Doon offers five deluxe bedrooms all individually decorated in a traditional syle. The Brig is overlooking the River and offering not only the ideal venue for weddings but also for the perfect getaway.
Dining: The hotel's restaurant provide the best in local produce. In addition to full Lunch and Supper A la Carte menus, the restaurant also offers a Scottish Fayre menu. Sample dishes include Cock a Leekie Soup, Roast Sirloin of Beef with a Whisky Scented Sauce, Haggis wi' Neeps and Champit Tatties.
Location: Situated 45 minutes south of Glasgow and 20 minutes drive from Prestwick Airport. Take the A77 southbound from Glasgow through Ayr and follow signposts for Alloway. Turn off the A77 on to Doonholm Road, follow the road to the end and turn left, Brig O' Doon is situated on the left hand side.
