comments We had a lovely stay at your hotel - the breakfasts were good - the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The only negative was the lack of a lift, but we knew this already, having stayed at your hotel previously. A major factor also is that the hotel is so central to everything.

comments We really enjoyed our stay in one of the historical rooms. The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel is wonderful, a very short walk to both the Old Town historical square and Wenceslas square.

comments Nice hotel with a good restaurang and a brewery that produces amazing beer. The location was perfect for our weekend trip, walking distance to many nice places and easy to take the tram to the castle. Helpful staff in the reception.

comments I had an enjoyable stay at your hotel and a very good meal in the attached restaurant. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful and I loved the free internet terminals. That really came in handy for me. Good breakfast as well. Good location that was easy to reach by public transit. I really have no complaints except for the somewhat surly service in the bar one night. However, the server appeared to be overworked and that could explain it.

comments Das Zimmer war schön. Das Frühstück war befriedigend; leider wurden Obst, Käse etc nicht immer aufgefüllt, so dass die Auswahl um 9:30 nicht mehr groß war. Das Essen im Restaurant war nicht sehr gut. Es war kalt und leider nach Rückgabe zum Aufwärmen auch nur lauwarm. Die Luft im Restaurant war sehr schlecht, wahrscheinlich, weil wir auch aus Deutschland keine Raucherbereiche mehr gewohnt sind. Trotzdem wäre es durch ein Lüftungssystem deutlich angenehmer gewesen, so dass wir nach dem Essen auch sofort gegangen sind. Ich weiß, dass das Restaurant eigentlich nicht mit in die Bewertung zählen soll, aber ich denke, der Hinweis ist angebracht und es kann ja dadurch nur besser werden. Die Hotel-Lage ist 1A! Man konnte alles gut zu Fuß erreichen und ich würde auch wegen des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses wieder kommen.

comments Quatre nuits début mars 2012 dans cet hôtel très bien situé ds le centre historique. Très belle chambre,petit déjeuner varié, accueil parfait. Possibilité de laisser ses bagages si on reprend l'avion le soir. Une très bonne adresse.

comments Very good location, friendly service and staff, excellent meal! But to get the hotel by car is almost impossible because of one way streets. An itiner would be necessary how to reach U Medvidku - only for leaving luggagges (parking at longer distance is not problem).

comments Good location & easy to walk to the main sites of the city. The hotel was nice & warm which was good as the weather was very cold. We booked one of the historic rooms but it was quite basic although clean & fairly comfortable. From the pictures on the website we were expecting something a little more special. We could also on occasions hear people talking and music playing when we were in the room. Not sure if this was coming from outside or from the bar in the hotel. The breakfast was quite nice except on the last day of our stay when we came for breakfast at about 9.30am to find there was hardly anything left. No-one came to ask us if we wanted anything. We had a snack in the hotel restaurant on our first day which was very good, but unfortunately it was then closed for renovation for the rest of the week otherwise we would have eaten there again.

comments Необходимо помыть искуственные цветы в номере, на которых огромный слой пыли. На завтрах хотелось бы свежий (сегодняшиний) хлеб, а не вчерашний. В целом отель очень понравился, страринное здание, ресторан, приветливая обслуга (ресепшн и официанты).

comments When I lived in Prague I found the best traditional Czech food at U Medvidku. Their beer is excellent too. Pretty building, old with history. Clean and the service in the hotel is excellent. My only disappointment was the lack of a kettle in the bedroom. I would certainly stay there again.

comments The location could not have been better; the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they remembered who I was, which worked out well when I returned from sight-seeing, as they always gave me the right key! Breakfast is great when you get down there earlier, and there's a full restaurant AND a brewery IN the building. Excellent hotel; will stay there again when I return to Prague!

comments Обслуживание выше всяких похвал - на любую, даже незначительную просьбу пытались помочь по максимуму. Кухня вкусная - в частности "свиное колено" понравилось больше, чем в других ресторанах (если не ошибаюсь его перед запеканием тут коптят). Хотя ресторан был и полон под завязку, стоило лишь попросить на рецепшн, как нам резервировали столик. Так же удобно было каждый вечер оставлять детей в номере и спускаться в бар, попить пиво. Кстати в номере ждал сюрприз - пригласительный купон, на бесплатную дегустацию пива в ихней же пивоварне. Минус для меня был в том, что курение в холле было разрешено. Но в принципе в номере мы дискомфорт по этому поводу не испытывали. В общем, от проживания в отеле остались только положительные впечатления. А если взять во внимание его удобное расположение, то мой выбор на будущее очевиден - только "U Medvidku".

comments We have stayed at the Minibrewery Hotel U Medvidku three times in the past 6 years and been consistently pleased with the experience. The hotel is ideally situated for the tourist, allowing access to the many attractions of Prague by walking or short tram rides. The breakfast included in the room price is outstanding in variety and quality. The hotel staff proved to be very helpful in offering advice as to restaurants and how to get around Prague. Due to the need to go up and down stairs to the rooms and breakfast area, the hotel is not to be recommended for persons needing to use wheel chairs or having other significant physical limits. However, for all others, this hotel offers great value and charm.

comments This is a delightful place to stay in Prague, and it is the second time we have been there. The hotel is nicely situated, both in terms of city attractions and the attraction of the brewery with its wonderful beer, Czech meals, and eclectic architectural design. The hotel staff is extremely attentive, speak perfect English, and make one feel welcome at any hour (including making coffee at 3:00 a.m. for those of us flying in from elsewhere who find ourselves awake at that hour).

comments This is my second stay at the Minibrewery Hotel U Medvidku & I love the place. Very unique, attractive, comfortable rooms and great location in the heart of this wonderful city. I'm still pinching myself that despite these advantages, a single room only costs 55 euros a night, what wonderful value!! I'm already planning a return visit in the spring next year & there is only one place I'll be looking to stay!! I highly recommend the Minibrewery Hotel U Medvidku

comments Excellent value, friendly staff, convenient location. Rooms were perfectly clean although slightly smaller than expected. Some towel rails in the bathroom would have been useful. The restaurant had more provision for smokers than non-smokers. The breakfast was good although the seating arrangements were too cramped. Generally it was a hotel I would certainly recommend and visit again.

comments The room was indeed wonderful and the location is FANTASTIC...! Everything is within a few minutes of walking ditance. Only complaint: the towels were changed daily, but we hung them back up to avoid this, trying to be good ecology-friendly people...:-) The food at the restaurant was very, very good and good value for money, but the restaurant staff (in the "brewery") could well do with some lessons in politeness!! The hotel staff at the desk however was very friendly and forthcomng! And the breakfast buffet was excellent too! We are planning to come back, in the summer!

I must mention the perfect service of the hotel stuff- polite and quick -just as a turist like. comments The historical room we stayed in was very comfortable and roomy. Having a separate toilet from the shower was also very appreciated. The noise from the attached restaurant was quite loud so we couldn't sleep with the window open, but I would definitely stay here again.

comments Not only was the location excellent (close to subway/trams), but Medvidku was charming and the staff so kind. Because I had to catch an early morning train, they knew I would miss their buffet breakfast and actually put together a "to go" breakfast for me to take along. I've never experienced that before in my travels.

comments This is establishment met all our expectations. We booked this hotel/mini brewery based on Rick Steeves and Anthony Bourdain's recommendations. The Quad room they gave (family of 4) us was huge. The room itself looked a little tired but the bathrooms/toilets was very clean and modern. The food at the restaurant was very good, specially the Pork Knee and Boar Roast. In fact, we had all our dinners here. We will definately stay here the next time we visit Prague.

comments We had a great stay at the Minibrewery Hotel U Medvidku. The location was very convenient, right near the Tesco and the #22 tram stop. Our room was on the top floor and had A/C and everything you would need. I liked the old wooden beams and the overall look of the building. Having the restaurant downstairs was perfect: good Czech food, reasonably priced. We were expecting a typical European hotel experience, but this hotel offers more character. People looking for a comfortable place with a lively atmosphere will certainly enjoy it.

comments I booked this hotel on the same day I needed and found the price to be cheap considering how close to the centre it is. On arriving I found the staff to be friendly and very helpful, my room (twin) was larger than any I have ever stayed in, as well as a large clean bathroom with a bath. The restuarant and and the bar are right next door, and both have a confy feel. Highly recommend this hotel.

comments Because of the street and pub noise, we preferred to close our window. This was very effective for blocking the noise. But it made the room a bit warm for the puff that was on the bed, and there was no sheet to use instead. That was our only complaint -- otherwise the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was very nice, and your location is great.

comments We found the front desk to be very friendly and helpful, nice to have access to a computer. The location was very good and walking distance to old town square. Rooms located on the street ere noisy but ear plugs helped. Food in the restaurant was very good. Somewhat disappointed in the basement brewery as they were not very friendly and we expected to taste more variety. Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of food.

comments Room was adequate and clean, nothing fancy. Hotel staff went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me deal with the airlines over my lost luggage. Food and brew in the attached restaurant was excellent. Location is a five minute walk from the central square. My only negative comment would be the timers on the hallway light switches. I tripped on the stairs because the lights went off and I couldn't find the switch to turn them back on.

comments Our room was lovely: big windows, lots of light, overlooking the main street. The ceiling was particularly beautiful with exposed, painted beams. The hotel is classic and historical with a winding staircase and lots of nooks. Very nice staff who speak English and German, especially the front desk staff. We stayed at U Medvidku with our 7 year old twin sons and it was a very pleasing experience, much to recommend. Thank you!

comments Great location. Also convenient to tram and metro for exploration outside of the Old Town area (e.g. Hradcany Castle). Front desk staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Minutes from Tesco department store (which has a nice rooftop cafe). On premises brewery and restaurants (especially the garden) are not only convenient but also serve a wide selection of good food -- not to mention the beer!

comments The hotel is very well located, the staff were very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was fine. Having a taxi to the airport very early in the morning right from the hotel was great, and we were even provided with a bag lunch since we missed breakfast on the day of our departure. Our room was on the third floor, so we had to climb a lot of steps. Also the room had lots of beams in it, which are interesting, but not very comfortable in the room. They take up a lot of room, but even so, I think the room could use a comfortable chair or two to make it more comfortable. The beds were also not terribly comfortable. But overall we were happy with our choice of this hotel, which was recommended in the Rick Steves tourbook.

I enjoyed my staying at U Medvidku also because of the perfect location in the centre of Prague, close to the old town but also to main shop areas, museum and theatres. comments Wir hatten das Hotel direkt übers Internet gebucht. Es war alles sehr unkompliziert. Auch der Wunsch im Dachzimmer mit der Nr. 33 einquartiert zu werden, wurde ordnungsgemäß erfüllt. Das Dachzimmer ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Es ist riesengross und hat mittelalterliches Flair vom Feinsten. Die Lage des Hotels ist jedoch das beste. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir sind sogar zur Prager Burg und zum Wenzelplatz zu Fuss geschlendert. Direkt zum Rathaus sind es ca. 500m, maximal 5 Minuten Gehzeit. Im Keller befindet sich ein tolles Brauereirestaurant mit vielen kulinarischen Schmankerl. Schade dass wir erst am letzten Tag dort gegessen haben, wir hätten es, wenn wir gewusst hätten wie gut die Küche ist, sonst sicher mehrfach genutzt

comments THe hotel is charming and the front desk was very helpful in answering questions about directions and such. Had dinner in the resturant and the food was fabulous! Pork and potato dumplings w/ cabbage was really delicious. Rooms could use a more comfortable place to sit, the sitting area on the first floor is fine but those enviromentally timed lights only give you 5 minutes! Have to keep getting up and turning back on if you want to read a book or magazine, very annoying.

comments I took my Fiance to Prague for a short break for his birthday. I chose this hotel because of the history behind it plus of course the traditional beer! I wasn't disappointed at all, the location is perfect, you can walk everywhere as it's in the Old Town. Charles Bridge is only around ten minutes away. Plus they have their own restaurant (great traditional value food, we ate there twice - highly recommend the Wild Boar or of course the Goulash) and bar that opens until 3am. On my Fiance's birthday the cleaners must have seen the cards in our room as we returned to find a birthday note and half bottle of champagne! Really lovely touch. We had a superior room and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a flat screen TV - my partner is 6ft 4 and had no problems with bed length. We also had lovely oldy worldy beams, very romantic! The breakfast was also excellent with a choice of a variety of hot sausages and eggs, plus cold meats and cheeses and all the usual breads, cereals and fruits. Plus different Czech sweet specialities/pastries each day. The staff were very helpful and acommodating. They even let us store our bags at the hotel on the last day as check out is at 10am but we didn't leave until 4pm. They also arranged both of our taxis. I would reccommend this to make sure you get good rates. We will certainly be returning on our next trip to Prague. Overall a fantastic central hotel if you are looking to sample the traditional delights of Prague at very reasonable prices. Thank you Hotel Medvidku for making our stay so special.

comments We are very satisfied customers..We have stayed in the Hotel U Medvidku everytime we come to Prague for our Dentistry needs.. The Hotel driver to and from from the airport Vlad speaks exellent English.. and explained some o f Prague's history on our drives. The convience of the location very near Tesco and the business center, makes Hotel U Medvidku, a very good location for our many visits. to Prague.. We have stayed in the hotel four times in the last several years.. The Hotel manager speaks Great English and was very helpfull in explaining the Train-Bus situation inside the City. The convience of the Hotel restaurant that serves excellent and hearty meals is a big pluss. We look forward to coming back for our next stay in Prague. One last thing I will mention.. If you have a digital camera with a flash.. Shoot many pictures of the great vaulted cielings.. If you look closely you will see 'Orbs' by the dozens.. comments La situación del hotel es inmejorable, tanto para las visitas de día, como para las salidas de noche. El personal del hotel es muy atento y servicial. El personal del restaurante es correcto, pero cuando se acerca la hora de cierre del local, pueden volverse bastante descorteses. La única pega que tuvimos es que no tienen camas de más de 1,80 m de largo. Por lo demás, es absolutamente recomendable. Si vuelvo a Praga repetiré la estancia en este hotel sin ninguna duda.

comments We LOVED our stay at Hotel U Medvidku! The facility is well-managed, clean, and comfortable. The staff went well out of their way to help with keeping our car parked right in front of the hotel to the point of buying a parking sticker for us when the meter ran out so that we could continue with our site seeing and not have to come back to do that! Breakfast was delicious, the architecture of the hotel - awesome, and the restaurant and bar right next door, it was easy to just kick back and night and not have to wander the streets in the dark :) I would definitely stay here again!

comments Our five-night stay in one of the historic rooms was very pleasant. The reception staff was helpful. We have to leave the hotel at 3:00 AM to catch an early flight back to the US. The receptionist had coffee for us at that hour, as well as a sack lunch to take with us. It seems that most flights from central Europe leave in the early morning so we have had experience with early departures, but never before has our hotel been so accommodating. We also enjoyed dining in the hotel restaurant. It has colorful ambience and was one of our better dining experiences in Prague.

comments The hotel and brewery could not have a better location. Not only are they close to the trams and subway (Mustek stop), but it's very easy to walk to all of the major sites in town. The hotel was cozy, my room was great (and quite historic in appearance!) and everyone on the staff was welcoming and very helpful. Also, having breakfast available until a little later in the morning was wonderful (if you'd like to sleep in a bit). I'd stay here again. Another winning pick from Rick Steves' guidebooks! comments This hotel is perfect for visiting Prague. All the sights are within walking distance, expect maybe the Castel, but what is not in walking distance can be reached by tram. Our room (no 4, historic), was very large and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only bad rating is for the noise from the dance-scool inside the court. We love relax in late afternoon between two activities, but the loud music made this almost impossible.

comments Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Nicht mitten im Touristentrubel, aber doch so, dass man schell an den wichtigen Ort ist. Am Hotel gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Das freundliche Personal hat sogar für unsere vier Fahrräder einen Platz gefunden. Empfehlen können wir das Essen - und nätürlich auch das Bier- im benachbarten Bierkeller. Gutes Preis / Leistungsverhältnis und beste Nachspeien.
