comments We loved this hotel - a beautiful room and wonderful to be woken by the sound of the monastery bells each morning. Very helpful staff - we will definitely be back. The walk up the hill can feel like a bit of a trek at the end of a heavy night on the pilsner but think of the calories you are burning off....

comments We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Hotel Monastery. Stepan, at the reception desk, was very courteous and helpful. Location was perfect for a healthy walk to and from the city center. Parking on site was convenient and safe. Breakfast was hearty and good. Highly recommend!

comments Hotel Monastery is a very good hotel. Staff cleaned the room well, service was good. We tasted a delicious breakfast. Pleasant dining-flowing music is very good. If we go to the Czech Republic again, we want to stay at Hotel Monastery .

comments Der Aufenthalt im Monastery war sehr schön. Dss Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön. Alle sind anders eingeichtet. Die Zimmer waren sehr ordentlich. Das Hotel liegt oberhalb des Zentrums. In 2 Min. hat man die Straßenbahnstation zur Stadt erreicht, wir sind allerdings immer in die Stadt gelaufen. Das war kein Problem. Ich komme gerne wieder.

comments Das Hotel Monastery hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Mitarbeiter in der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer, geräumig und sauber, sind äußerst ruhig gelegen. Ein wunderschöner Blick auf Prag und ein 15-Minuten-Fußweg ins Zentrum machten unseren Aufenthalt perfekt.

comments I love being within the Strahov complex. It's peaceful and beautiful ,and the hotel Monastery provides everthing needed for a comfortable stay: modern amentites within an historic building- plus a delightful garden!

comments We love facilities that offer unique character. This hotel was packed with character, charming garden and impressive view of the classic Prague skyline. Easy to get to and from with the use of Tram 22. Our room had a little extra character in that it had a large bump in the floor, but we found it amusing to trip and slip over. Our friends stayed in a loft room on the third floor and that was amazing as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

comments My stay was delightful! The young woman at the front desk helped me find my way around Prague, make arrangements for a taxi to the airport, and schedule a dinner cruise. My room was spacious, comfortable, and airy. And the view of the city from the gates of the monastery breathtaking.

comments Wir waren zum Geburtstag meines Mannes Ende Februar 2011 für ein verlängertes Wochenende angereist und waren in allen Belangen nur positiv überrascht: von der Schönheit des Gebäudes Hotel Monastery und der unmittelbaren geschichtsträchtigen Umgebung, der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Receptionistin, von unserem Zimmer (Nr. 25, würde ich sofort wieder buchen), von der Lage und vom Ausblick, von den kulturellen Möglichkeiten Prags inklusive Schwarzen Theaters und klassischen Konzerts. Zu Letzterem hat die Receptionistin Himmel und Erde bewegt, dass wir zu Tickets kamen. Super Service, gutes Frühstücksangebot, ausreichendes Broschürenmaterial - für alle Geschmäcker etwas. Ich würde sofort wieder hingehen, genau an den Ort. Wünsche dem Hotel Monastery alles Gute, dem Personal viel Glück und Erfolg in allem, was es beruflich (es standen sogar Abschlussprüfungen an! Hoffentlich sind sie gut gegangen!) und privat macht. Der Gesamteindruck eines solchen Tapetenwechsels bleibt unvergesslich und erfreut das Herz noch lange. comments It was as all the reviews said. Great location and views, when you arrive it can be difficult to find, but you have to look for the sign that says Monastery Residence. The rooms are new and great, cute. The walk to the city is nice, and the tram lines are super easy to get back. The breakfast was pretty good like 3.5 stars. We ate at a little Crepe restaurant close to the Monastery that was good, although the service was slow. Also don't get suckered into the real tourist trap restaurants on the walk to town, wait it out to find something really worth while. Also liked the Absyinth shop on the walk to town. Almost got double charged for the sparkling wine that I paid for online, I would recommend not buying the wine option online as all the rooms come with a mini-bar and you can then decide if you are in the mood for it or not when you arrive and not feel compelled to drink it.

comments The hotel at the Monastery is truely exceptional. The service, clean rooms, views of Prague and especially being there next to the monks. We were able to attend the 6pm daily mass, and afterwards had our meals there on the grounds. Heads up, make certain to make your reservations to dine at the brew house -- very charming and old world.
