comments We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Hastal Prague. This was our first visit to Prague and the reception was warm, friendly and helped to make our three night stay very comfortable. The location was central to all the activities in Old Town Prague and the service excellent. We had some wonderful meals at the restraunt and enjoyed the friendly inn keeper and restraunt owner.

comments Hôtel bien situé au coeur de Prague, idéal pour découvrir la vieille ville à pied. Très bon accueil à notre arrivée, personnel aimable et souriant. Hôtel centenaire ayant su garder son âme. N'oublier pas de prendre un verre au bar, le gérant australien est très sympathique. Nous avons passé 4 jours très agréables.

comments We were extremely pleased with our accomodations at Hotel Hastal. Our room met all our expectations and the facilities worked to perfection. The room curtains kept the room very dark at night and the hotel location was very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was extensive. We enjoyed the decor of the hotel with the Alfons Mucha prints tastefully presented throughout. The location of the hotel was within easy walking distance of The Old Town Square. Tom and the rest of the staff were knowledgeable and helpful with all our questions. We highly recommend this hotel for your Prague visit. Tom and Bev Lynch

comments Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town was not as "grand" as we expected from the website, but we had a wonderful time there. Our room was comfortable and quite large compared to European standards. We had a balcony overlooking the Hasteleske Square in fron of the hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are willing to walk. We did not make use of any bus or tram for our entire stay. Taxi's do cost a bit. Be warned, only use AAA taxis! Thomas, Patrick & Eva were extremely helpful and friendly at the front desk. Sonya who manages the breakfast even surprised us with breakfast in bed one morning without us even asking! (Believe me, this was a bigger surpise that neither she or us anticipated!!!). Stephen Black and Bert in the restaurant crept into our hearts and it was with reluctance that we had to say goodbye on our last day. We wish everyone at Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town all the best and may all future clientele have the same wonderful time as we had.

comments We stayed in the Hotel Hastal after reading many excellent online comments. We - my husband, grown up daughter and myself stayed for four nights. My husband and I stayed in a comfort room overlooking the square and our daughter in a single room on the opposite side of the corridor. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel highly. We think it is very reasonably priced and would definitely consider staying here again. As so many others have said it is in an excellent spot for peace and quiet but also very close to all the main places of interest. It is also close to some lovely restaurants. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful and there was an overall feeling of friendliness throughout. There isn't a great deal of choice at breakfast time, just the essentials, but what is available is enough to keep you going until lunch time and it is pleasantly presented. Overall we thought the Hotel Hastal to be very good value and we hope to be back one day very soon.

comments Super hôtel ! nous avons cherché un hôtel mignon pas très cher et bien placé et là c'était top ! à 5 min de la place de la vieille ville, chambre confortable, pas de bruit, buffet pour le petit déj ... je le conseille vivement !

comments My daughter and I had a very pleasant long weekend in your hotel last week. It was a warm and cosy room with a lovely view of the church opposite. The staff were helpful, the taxi transfer excellent, the location superb, and the complimentary 24/7 tea and coffee facilities in reception were much appreciated. For two women sightseeing together in Prague, there could not have been a better choice of hotel. Thank you for an excellent stay.

comments Ich hatte mir das Hotel Hastal selbst im internet unter vielen anderen ausgesucht und gebucht. Ausschlaggebend war die zentrale Lage in der Altstadt sowie die Tradition und Persönlichkeit des Hotels. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Es war genau das, was ich gesucht und erwartet hatte: Ruhe, Freundlichkeit und Zuvorkommenheit. Mein 1. Aufenthalt in Prag (als Alleinreisender) wurde somit aufs Beste komfortabel gestaltet. Die Auskünfte und Hilfsbereitschaft der Rezeption (Tomas & Patrick) waren nützlich und wertvoll. Ich würde jederzeit gern wiederkommen und auch Freunden dieses Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthaklt empfehlen.

comments Friendly and helpful reception. Warm, quiet and comfortable room on 6th floor (quick lift to 5th floor). On-site restaurant provided good, reasonably priced, food, again with helpful and friendly staff. A short distance to nearest metro (Namesti Republiky), therefore convenient for Central Prague, and other travel connections. We frequently visit Prague, and would definitely consider this hotel on a future visit.

comments The hotel was excellent. The accomodation was perfect and the welcome from the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome in the beautiful City of Prague. The hotel had to change our allocated room as a previous customer had caused damage and the hotel allocated us room 55 on fifth floor. After reading a review on the hotel when someone said that room 55 was not a nice room, we were very hesitant and was pleasantly suprised when the room was better than we could have expected so please ignore the comment about room 55 found in earlier comments on the hotel. The breakfast was excellent with a very varied range of items available. I would whole heartedly recommend the Hotel Hastal to anyone and I shall be using the hotle whenever I return to Prague and recommend the hotel to all my friends.

The location is great, my room was nice, clean and comfortable, the restaurant offers reasonably priced, tasty food, the breakfast is very good, the location is great and above it all, the service offered by ALL staff couldn't be better! comments Wonderful ambiance in the heart of Prague. A welcome contrast to the large chain hotels, both in atmosphere and price. The restaurant is a pleasant surprise, and the staff treats you like family. Prague is inviting enough, but the Hotel Hastal adds to the desire to return.

The area around the hotel is quiet, and yet it is only walking minutes from the Old City Square, St. Charles Bridge, shops and other attractions. comments We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hastal very much. It is very conveniently located close to the old square, but more importantly the staff were very attentive and friendly. Eva who welcomed us was always very pleasant and accommodating as were the other two men who were on the desk while we were there. On the morning we were leaving the hotel arranged our transportation with a young man who drove a beautiful new black Skoda. He was very pleasant, someone like the others that made our stay at the hotel so special. One humorous aspect of our stay was listening to the falling chestnuts in the courtyard that would crash down upon plastic bins, a wooden umbrella and metal gutters. It was quite the musical event. comments Small boutique style hotel in a fantastic location for the Old Town Square which was only approx 2 minute walk away. Hotel team were very pleasent and the place was very clean and tidy. comments Das Hotel Hastal liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße im Bezirk Josefov. Die touristisch interessantesten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Auch Geschäfte und Haltestellen der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel liegen in der Nähe. Das Personal an der Rezeption war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit, u.a. auch bei der Reservierung von Tickets für Abendveranstaltungen. Fazit: Ein empfehlenswertes Hotel für eine Prag-Städtereise.

Our first time in Prague was made so much more enjoyable by the friendly, knowledgable staff who helped plan our excurssion to Kutna Hora on the train and gave us valuable insight to local attractions. comments We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Hastal in Prague. The location was ideal - within walking distance of everything we had hoped to see. The service was excellent, including lots of great information from the hotel staff who helped us plan our two days in Prague to make sure we were able visit all of the sites we wanted to see. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of food available. We would definitely stay there again. And the price made it an excellent value, especially given its convenient location near the Old Town plaza. Visitors from Charlottesville, Virginia USA in July 2011

comments This hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood and a walking distance to any major Prague attractions. Our room room was nicely furnished and with a view to Hastal Square. The bathroom was clean and surprisingly spacious. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful in directing us. A parking space is available in front of the hotel at 5 euro/night and Wi-Fi is free. Although there is no restaurant in the hotel, they provided us with nice breakfast. Many decent restaurants are within a walking distance, say 200m or so. In any event, we enjoyed our stay.

comments Hotel Hastal's wonderful staff made my brief stay in Prague truly memorable! They were most helpful by arranging and providing everything from pick up service from the airport, to a map of the city, to arranging tours, to serving outstanding meals, to arranging for me to catch my early morning flight back to the U.S. The location was superb...within easy walking distance to most sights. I loved being able to stay in a unique family hotel. It added to my enjoyment of this wonderful city.

comments This is a charming very small hotel in the center of a quiet central Prague neighbourhood. The staff are helpful and caring well beyond expectations. The rooms are simple but adequate, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are simple, showers only. The service makes it all exceptional, like staying with caring family.

comments Loved the neighborhood and the hotel! We were 3 American couples traveling together, and all were pleased with these accommodations. Good breakfasts;nice rooms; a lift to get luggage (and guests) to the upper floors;friendly and helpful staff - and all at a good price! What more could one want? The French restaurant next door was also very good for dinner.

comments Everything was just right about our stay. Perfect location a short walk from Town Square. We even walked from the train station with our carry-on rolling suitcases in about 20 minutes. The staff was very helpful and spoke good English. We reserved the the "Honeymoon Room" which was very reasonably priced and was nice with the added feature of a balcony. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I would recommend Hotel Hastal to any and everyone.

Wir wurden sehr nett beim Ankunft empfangen, wurden kurz introduziert zur wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt, indem uns eine Stadtplan überlassen wurde, bekamen auch gute Restaurant-Empfelungen. Das Personal ist freundlich, das Zimmer war ausgezeichnet - es lohnt sich bestimmt, ein Bisschen mehr für ein etwas grösseres Zimmer zu bezahlen, denn unser Comfort-zimmer war gross und hell und für das Entspannen/lesen spät Nachmittags gut geeignet. Badezimmer war super! Und die Lage ist ganz richtig - in 10 Minuten kommt man zur alten Rathausplatz - und dennoch ist der kl. Platz Hastal meistens sehr schön ruhig. Wir werden das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

comments My sister and I have just returned from a Short Break in Prague staying at your Hotel. And would recommend the Hotel Hastal to anyone, and have already done so. We recieved a very warm welcome and the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff continued throughout our stay, nothing seemed to much trouble for them. The room was very nice, spacious, with views over the square and a good bathroom. The breakfast was good and plentiful, buffet style which was replenished when needed. Can't wait to come back. comments Hotel Hastal is fantastic value for money. The location is very good. The hotel was warm, clean, in good condition and the breakfast had plenty of choice. The staff were friendly, polite and very welcoming. Rooms are basic with a good sized bathroom. Tea-making facilities would have been nice, but the little bar downstairs was handy for any drinks we did want. come to think of it, this was never a cup of tea!! comments The hotel was exactly as expected from the pictures available, clean and comfortable with a decor of a certain period. In terms of its location it is absolutely perfect, within easy walking distance of all the main sights but quiet enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was a little lacking as some of the items had run out, but this wasn't really a problem for us. It would have been a real bonus to have coffee and tea making facilities in our room. We are planning a return visit to Prague as we enjoyed it so much and will definately be booking to stay at this hotel again.

comments The whole front desk staff team was very helpful and informative in many ways. The room we had, Room 62 was very spacious and comfortable. Hotel has its old charm, is cozy and old style dining room. Location of the hotel is a short walk to the Old Town Square, nearest Tram Station Dlouha Trida and nearest Metro station Namesti Republiky. Location is in a quiet area and opposite the beautiful Hastal Church. Short walk to Vltava River and the old Jewish Quarter. Near Restaraunts and supermarkets/departmental stores.

comments We spent a very enjoyable 3 days at the Hotel Hastal in Prague and were made to feel very welcome from all the staff. The hotel is very comfortable and clean and the food is excellent. It is only a few minutes walk from the centre which makes it ideal for sightseeing. The staff especially Tomas & Eva on Reception were extremely helpful to us and made our stay most memorable.

comments The hotel is very well situated, it is pleasant and calm, traditional and comfortable, you feel youself absolutely relaxing as if being at home. I was also lucky to have got positive experience while communicating with extremely - what I mean is VERY, much more than usual - helpful staff. The room appeared to be spacious enough, cosy, tidy and supplied with all the necessities, all in all better than I expected, so it definitely costs its money. I am sure to chose it again when going to Prague one more time.

comments The location of the Hotel is superb and it was a perfect base from which to explore the city. The hotel staff were excellent they were very informative, helpful and always friendly. We had a Comfort double room which was spacious and very clean the only comment we would make is that it would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Overall we had a lovely stay at the Hastal and would not hesitate to recommend it and we would definately return on future visits to Prague.

comments Everything in the hotel was better than what we expected. Located in a quiet street into the old town, it's just 5 minutes walking to the Old Town Square. In the reception you'll always find Tom with his kind service. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We found the price/quality relationship really excellent.

comments We were delighted with the very friendly service and comfort during our stay. Breakfasts were satisfying and the restaurant provided reasonably priced, hearty meals. The hotel is ideally situated close to the Old Town Square but was always completely peaceful at nights. The room was kept spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. When the snow in the UK forced the cancellation of our flight home, our first thought was to try to extend our stay in the Hastal. Unfortunately for us it was full, so this was not possible but the kind receptionist located rooms in a 4-star hotel nearby. We have no hesitation in recommending the Hastal hotel to others. As far as improvements go, we'd have liked tea and coffee making facilities, an English speaking news channel and Wi-Fi in our room. Many thanks.

comments Our 4 day stay with you was a wonderful experience. Your staff, especially the people at the Reception Desk were most helpful in all regards. comments We have used Hastal Hotel Prague Old Town twice. Both times we have been pleased with our stay. The first time we were alone, the second time we had taken our small children and grandparents. The hotel is a little worn but very convenient. The location is no better - and the staff are extremely pleasant. We hope to visit Hastal Hotel Prague Old Town every year.

comments This Hotel has great location not too far from the major tourist attractions. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Our room was spacious, clean and had its unique character with a great view of the surrounding area. We enjoyed tasty breakfast in the morning with the rest of the quests. Additionally the location is excellent for walking to all areas including the castle, Karlov Most, and all 4 city sections. An apothacary, minimarket, mall and metro stops are within 5 minutes also. comments The hotel is wonderful. We enjoyed both the breakfast in the morning and the chance to have a glass of wine at the end of the day in the restaurant located just off the lobby. The hotel staff was very helpful - providing maps and suggestions for activities. The hotel shuttle (car) to the train station was fast and very reasonably priced. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back!

comments Generally speaking, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Hastal. The staff were friendly and patient with our inability to speak Czech. We very much appreciated Eva arranging for our shuttle transport to the airport on our departure day. The breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee strong as I like it. Our only minor complaints were the beds were too firm and the pillows too soft.

comments We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you. Your staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start our day before we visited Prague's beautiful sites, so many of which were very close to your hotel. We would recommend your hotel to anyone visiting Prague. The only critcism, a small one, was that we were unable to change the temperature settings which meant that, even though there was a/c, our rooms felt a little warm. Overall, your hotel was a delight.

comments We had reservations for 5 nights but when we arrived we learned that our rooms were not available for the first 2 nights due to a broken water pipe. To accommodate us the hotel provided rooms at another excellent hotel (at the same rate), provided a taxi over and back, and generally made the best of a difficult situation. Problems can always arise and Hotel Hastal went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. Their service was friendly and courteous and we could not have asked for more. I highly recommend any establishment that shows this much concern for their guests and their well-being. On top of it all, our rooms were charming and comfortable.

comments We were here 4 nights. It is a very nice hotel, close to the old town. We walked everywhere from here except to the castle. The breakfast was good and varied. The only thing lacking in my view is that there was no fresh fruit. The staff is helpful and they speak English. I would recommend it. thank you Rick Steves What a beautiful city!

comments If you want a hotel in Prague with Old World charm, excellent location, and modest pricing, the Hotel Hastal is the hotel for you. The staff was friendly, helpful, and clearly wants your stay to be enjoyable. It is five minutes on foot to Old Town Square and another five to Charles Bridge. I liked the old fashioned keys which you turn in at the reception desk when you go out. Breakfasts were expansive. The hotel offers free wi-fi internet, but I found the signal too weak on the 5th floor. I used my computer during breakfast and at any time in the restaurant area. Clean, modern facilities, and, unless you want to be pampered, a great deal on hotels in Prague.

comments My husband and I loved the Hotel Hastal! The hotel itself was charming. The room was lovely and bright. The bath highly functional with a hot, high pressure shower! Breakfast was extensive with a charming staff and a lovely sunny room. The desk staff were universally polite and helpful. On top of all of that, the Hastal was perfectly located in the center of all the things that Vienna visitors most want to see and all the best eateries. We loved it. Très bon plan, on vous le recommande; Juste un petit bémol sur le buffet de petit déj mais notre séjour était super.

comments We booked 4 rooms at this hotel,3 double & 1 twin. No complaints at all with our stay. Large rooms,comfortable beds,pillows that I wanted to take home with me! We visited in March & the rooms were very warm,just what we needed after walking around in sub-zero temperatures. We would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.Only about a 10 minute walk from the metro station. Less than a 5 minute walk to Old Town Square.Also very close to La Casa Argentinian bar in Dlouha Str.Well worth a visit.

comments We found the hotel ideal: a very central location, so that we could discover Prague on foot, set in a charming square opposite a lovely old yellow church that was floodlit at night. Our room was very clean and attractive, and extremely quiet (double windows). The breakfast buffet was good, as was the restaurant on the two occasions we ate there. The staff were very friendly - the whole atmosphere of the hotel was warm and personal, and as it was an old building it had a special charm. I would definitely return there. Excellent value for money!

comments A BRILLIANT 3 STAR HOTEL This was already my 4th stay at this lovely hotel as I often go to Prague on business. And I can say that every time I stay there I can see improvement and steady effort of the staff to make the guests feel more comfortable. This time I was pleasantly surprised not only by the new hotel restaurant but also by the fact that the hotel staff has been raising money for UNICEF funds. It shows that in these hard days good will and charity are still very important. The location can´t be better, right in the centre of the city, so it´s a perfect starting point for sightseeing and shopping. The accomodation has quality written all over it. Both the rooms and the common areas are very nicely appointed with everything you would need whether you stay for holiday or for business. The room I stayed in was very quiet and it has a splendid view of the city. What I appreciate most is the staff who is always welcoming, professional and courteous. Nothing seems to be a problem. The new hotel restaurant was very cosy, with perfect service and absolutely amazing food and drinks. Overall, it was an absolutely fabulous experience, especially with the quiet family atmosphere in contrast with the pre-Christmas chaos everywhere. I have already booked a room for Christmas for me and my family and we are all looking forward to our holiday in Prague.

We also prebooked a taxi online to pick us up from the airport, we paid £39.00 for a return fare which turned out to be very good value. We were extremely pleased with the standard of service, the car and it's driver. They also gave you a voucher for a free 4 hour guided tour which was excellent. Will definitely try and return. The breakfasts were pretty average but the restaurant in the evening had a good choice of items and was very reasonably-priced. There's a lovely little restaurant next door which specializes in French cuisine, and just a bit further along, a grocery store. This is a hotel run by a family who clearly take great pride in what they do.

We arrived from Berlin at the suburban train station and took the Metro into town, and the Metro station is about a 15 min walk to the hotel. comments Well maintained hotel in a quiet location just 2 minutes walk from Old Town Square and 2 minutes from the river. Could not fault the hotel at all. Clean bed room and public rooms. Good choice of food for breakfast. Helpful staff.

comments This is a charming hotel with an old-fashioned air about it but with modern facilities and service-minded co-workers. The location is PERFECT for any traveler looking to walk to the major sites, day or night, and also experience sophisticated restaurants and cafe's in the immediate area. Sits on a quiet, non-trafficked plaza. Plus it is good value for the money. The only negative is that the breakfast is not the best to be found, but certainly acceptable.

comments Freundlich und zuvorkommende Bedienung an Reception und im Restaurant. Saubere, gepflegte Zimmer. Gutes Essen. Super, die zentrale und ruhige Lage (unser Pech war wohl, dass im Hinterhof bereits frühmorgens Baulärm stattfand, ist aber sicher nur vorübergehen). Bei unserem nächsten Pragaufenthalt werden wir sicher wieder im Hotel Hastal buchen. Besten Dank

comments We stayed in this hotel during our bussines trip to Prague.The location was perfect,because we had several meetings in the center city. Overall, we were really satisfied with the rooms and the service provided. The receptionist and other hotel staff were helpful too. comments Hotel Hastal is positioned extremely well on the inside edge of the old town, it took us less than 5 minutes to walk to the old town square (our daily meeting point for friends on our trip). The hotel itself was clean and comfortable; reception staff were friendly and helpful.

comments This was the best hotel we could've stayed in during our visit, it was close to all the major sites, but yet it was quiet and not in the middle of all the activity. It was a charming hotel and their staff were extremely helpful, courteous, and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Prague, we will return!

comments The staff is smiling, helpfull and professional. Breakfast and dinner in restaurant okay. Coffee and local wine served didn't fulfil our expectations as Danish people. Our friends room, also booked by us at bookassist, did not meet the specification. It was a small room on the 5'th floor under the roof with no view to anything else but the sky.However the personel was very understanding, and after two nights the were moved to a larger room with balcony as dispensation. That was okay. Positive is also, that we had no problems with our luggage before check-in and -out periods as the hotel has a depository room. The position of the hotel is perfect, close to everything and almost no traffic and noise. All in all a good experience to a fair price.

Even the driver who was assigned to meet me, waited for the entire hour and a half that my plane was late arriving in Prague and was MOST friendly and certainly a welcome sight! I already have suggested Hotel Hastal to friends and plan to book again. This was my first Prague visit and the hotel only enhanced the overall glorious stay! Thank you.

comments Eva at the front desk was wonderful. She made dinner reservations, and took a deposit on a tour that i did not know how to do. She switched our room to a non smoking room. I know that people have complained about the breakfast, but it was more than adequate. It is true that there are no eggs but even if you don't like meats for breakfast, there were 3 kinds of cereals, 2 juices, danish, yougurt, chesses, and breads. There were also canned fruit coctail and frest tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. It was a 3 minute walk to old town square, and Josefov. From my room, I could see the castle and St VItus's Cathedral. My price was 68 Euros. I took the option of being met at the airport which was 29 Euro, a bit indulgent on my part, but was sonderful to be greeted at the airport with "welcome to Prague" and to not worry about anything after that. Later I met a couple from Maryland who drove from Munich. It is only about a 3 hour drive, but they said it took 3 hours to get to Prague and about 10 hours to find the hotel, so I was glad we took the limo ride.

comments I was very satisfied with my stay in Hotel Ha?tal Prague Old Town. In my job I have to do a lot of travelling and I have stayed in many kinds of hotels. My family originally comes from the Czech Republic, so I was curious to see what are hotels in Prague like. What I really liked best was the quiet atmosphere not very usual in the city centre. And of course, the room was clean and quiet, service flawless, staff helpful....and the view from my room just stunning! I must come back.
