Very pleasant stay. Only slight problem, very poor reception on tv in room during RWC weekend. Breakfast great and staff excellent.

Booked into the Norseman Hotel for a wedding, read previous reviews which I must add were a bit unkind now that I have experienced it. Yes it is a bit tired looking and in the need of an uplift { which i believe is the managements goal] but it doesn.t take away the fact that the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food was fantastic and plenty of it, and not forgetting the staff who were very welcoming and helpful. Would stay again.

Clean and comfortable, convenient location and friendly staff. Great breakfast and decent sized mugs in room for tea/coffee. Would stay here again.

Arrived quite late to a friendly welcome and up again for an early start. Breakfast was fine and staff helpful. Hotel was what i expected for the tarriff, so no complaints.

overall pretty ok hotel.
unfortunately, breakfast was a buffet; so basically all stuff dried out on the hot part. cold buffet was good.

Although the hotel looks a little jaded (worn stair carpet, exterior paint)
I found that the same could not be said for the management. Arriving early I was made to feel welcome and allowed to check in to my room, which was clean and comfortable. The rest of the staff were all courteous and friendly. Food was reasonably priced and delicious, and the breakfast is definitely not to be missed - magnificent ! If I am in the area again I will stay here, and have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to my friends.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, convenient position. An internet search gave two completely different map locations for the hotel, and it turned out to be somewhere different from either of them! Written directions on the website would therefore have been useful. Minor problems with the room were that it smelt as if it had been a smoking room in the past but the smell had not been completely removed and I couldn't get the television to work. But overall I was very satisfied.

Great stay and very helpful staff, particularly since I needed somewhere to store my bike and I had to be up at 5.30am to catch my train. The night porter was exceptionally helpful.

My daughter and myself greatly enjoyed our stay at the Norseman Hotel. Our twin room was very comfortable. One of our very special, most outstanding was the most professional, welcoming and caring team at the hotel. We felt just in the right place! The breakfast buffet at the Norseman is a dream!

Although the general appearance of the hotel did not match up to the pictures on the web-site, I nevertheless found the room comfortable ( very good beds ) the standard of service very good and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The new owners should be congratulated on what they have achieved thus far and I wish them every good wish for future success. I would stay there again.

The management and staff are extremly welcoming and pleasant. The hotel is very comfortable and central. From other reviews the hotel is under new ownership and over the coming months I am sure as and when investment in upgrading certain aspects is available this will become a great place to stay at affordable prices.
