We had an extremely pleasant stay at Days Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself is very nice. The restaurant is also very nice with good food and efficient service. Days Hotel is a very good base for seeing the rest of County Mayo, and is very close to Castlebar town, about a five minute walk to bars, restaurants and shops. We will be returning in the very near future.

Lovely hotel, nice and bright and cheerful. Good selection of food for breakfast but we didnt like the evening meal. I would like if the had a room else where in the building as a resterant and some light music in the backroom durning the evening meal. Overall we would stay there again. Staff were very helpful My husband has knee problems they gave us a room right beside car park and the lift

We really enjoyed our stay in the Harlequin Hotel on October Bank Holiday weekend , we upgraded our room to a suite for our stay and were both thrilled with the beautiful room we stayed in and the spaciousness and cleanliness of it. We attended a show in the Royal Theatre on the saturday night and were thrilled to discover just how close in proximity this was . This is perfect hotel if attending a show in this venue. We dined in the restaraunt on both nights we were there and found food to be of excellent quality and portions to be just right, We were a little disappointed with choice and hoped the menu would be varied over the two nights , but we were very happy with what we ordered. The hotel is also in close proximity to all shops and bars in castlebar and was a pleasant walk from the hotel . We would definitely return to the Harlequin hotel for a stay in the future .

I didn't like the way the self service for breakfast was set up. I have no problem with self service if "buffet style" containers were used for the sausages, rashers etc. The containers used required people to lean across other containers/people wil using tongs instead of large spoons to serve themselves. I noted that these tongs frequently fell into the food only to be fished out by the next person requiring their use. This is hardly hygenic and certainly not the esiest way to serve food. It put me off the fry. Other than that everything was fine.

The staff were very good but there was no information about local areas or attractions that we could find in the hotel. We did ask and were directed to the local tourist office. They did suggest 1 or 2 local areas. The food was ok and the bar personell were excellent especially the french bar man who was on. He was very friendly. The car park was difficult to find the first time.

Stay at Days was completely reuined by the noise levels from an adjoining premises. On the weekend in question there was an "underage" disco in " The Travellers Friend". No complaints re hotel itself or its staff.
