comments Stay at Days was completely reuined by the noise levels from an adjoining premises. On the weekend in question there was an "underage" disco in " The Travellers Friend". No complaints re hotel itself or its staff.

comments I didn't like the way the self service for breakfast was set up. I have no problem with self service if "buffet style" containers were used for the sausages, rashers etc. The containers used required people to lean across other containers/people wil using tongs instead of large spoons to serve themselves. I noted that these tongs frequently fell into the food only to be fished out by the next person requiring their use. This is hardly hygenic and certainly not the esiest way to serve food. It put me off the fry. Other than that everything was fine.

comments our only complaint, made to reception, was with restaurant. We were treated very shabbily because we had "inclusive" evening meal. No booking transmitted by reception according to Maitre Di and "dismissed" by him even though plenty of empty tables. Walk in seated first. Told Chef could not cope. Starter & Sweet good, main course dry and inadequate. We ate out locally on subsequent day & night.

comments The staff were very good but there was no information about local areas or attractions that we could find in the hotel. We did ask and were directed to the local tourist office. They did suggest 1 or 2 local areas. The food was ok and the bar personell were excellent especially the french bar man who was on. He was very friendly. The car park was difficult to find the first time.

comments We had an extremely pleasant stay at Days Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself is very nice. The restaurant is also very nice with good food and efficient service. Days Hotel is a very good base for seeing the rest of County Mayo, and is very close to Castlebar town, about a five minute walk to bars, restaurants and shops. We will be returning in the very near future.

comments my dinner was literally cremated on the fri night.I had to wait 50mins for replacememt meal.We also were not impressed when told that we had to have our meal Fri after arriving, we usually leave it to Saturday night in any other hotel we stay in and its not a problem. So after being forced to eat 30mins after arrival and then to have a meal handed to you that was literally stuck to the dish it wasso burnt, does not make one feel like returning anytime soon!
