Location fantastic. I know Spain very well in particular the Province of madrid area due to family connections. For anyone who requires good weather (hot in the day, warm/cool at night) this place is ideal. Accomodation is three star; very clean, no frills but an air of affluence pervades the hotel primarily due to location. Staff not flamboyant but efficient and helpful. Value for money. location re. tourism/sight seeing, walking, sport etc is pefect but you'll need a hire car as nearest station (suburban line from Madrid) not close. Breakfasts simple; staff flexible re. menu. Food in restaurant good quality but not always a full menu.

beautiful location right in the the midst of the mountains. food was wonderful also, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy. the hotel has not been renovated in recent years, it appears, which i and my boyfriend actually really liked -- there is totally unnecessary space used for 2 large lounges filled with roomy sofas, for instance ... what modern hotel gives space for these things anymore? one word of warning -- most of the staff that was there during our stay spoke only spanish.

The location is excellent close to the mountains with good walks, and right between Madrid and Segovia with easy access roads. The route explanation to the hotel failed to explain the need to take off from A601 to A607 (coming from Madrid), but the maps available on the website were helpful. At the hotel most of the staff was very helpful and friendly, but a few times we had a feeling of being "forgotten" (in the cafe), perhaps because we were foreigners. The breakfast was below what we believe is normal standard for a 3 star hotel.

Beautifully situated and great for walks in the mountains.
Standard menu food was acceptable, though breakfast was rather basic.
Room was comfortable, with a nice balcony and a spectacular view.
