	El lugar es muy acojedor, y el tarto de los viejitos que lio atienden esta de lujo, super beuna onda caray, lo recomiendo ampliamente, a parte de su buena ubicación el trato y limpieza del lugar, lo valen!!! ahh!, no es nada caro!

	I love the people and the place is physically very nice and comfortable, but the noise outside my window made it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep at night . Anyone with a Calle Tudesco side window is in for a sleepless night.

Mi estadia de tres dias en este Hostal estuvo muy satisfactoria, me encontre con un ambiente amable listo para ayudar a su cliente. Aunqu mi estadia planifique solo de una noche no tuve ningun problema para prolongar dos noches mas. Este Hostal recomendo a todos a quellos que necesitan alojamiento economico y centrico. Cercania de varias estaciones de Metro, lugares turisticos, vias importantes donde es facil en qualcquer momento concegir Taxi SI motiva uno para recomendar este Hostal, Zoran Ibrahimpasic

	The hostel was very clean and essentially downtown. It was only about a five minute walk to both the nearest metro and at most ten to the major downtown area. A great place if all you need is a bed for the night and plan on walking around and spending the rest of your time in the city.

	La localización es ideal a 100 metros de Callao, no hay que olvidar que es sólo un hostal pero dormir en camas cómodas y en un sitio limpio por menos de 45 euros la noche es ideal. Nosotros estuvimos en una habitación con baño propio pero el baño compartido también tenía buena pinta. Repetiremos

	Me quedé once noches en el hostal (¡!) y estoy bastante contento de mi acogida. El personal es muy simpático, y la habitación tampoco era de lo mejor pero por 22 euros la noche estaba muy bien.

	El hotel sencillo pero muy limpio, pequeño pero todo lo necesario. Mucha luz y buena vista. La atención estupenda y un afectuoso saludo a Serafín (el dueño) que nos hizo más agradable la entancia en Madrid. Lo único que el barrio es muy ruidoso. Si quieres mucha vida nocturna es el lugar ideal. Si quieres paz mejor algo más alejado del centro. Asi son los Españoles.

	We stayed for 5 nights and we liked it a lot. The room was rather small and the bathroom as well, but it was very clean. Very nice staff!! And you can afford it.. not the best area of Madrid, but Malasana is just right around the corner.

El cuarto estaba limpio, el bano tambien y con agua caliente. Lo unico un poco de ruido constante poque es un hostal dentro de un edificio de viviendas normales por lo cual las puertas siempre estan en constante uso. La senora y el chabal que llevan el hostal son muy majos. A mi en particular me fue muy bien y me llamo la atencion que un edificio de una belleza interior como este lo hayan dejado deteriorarse sin recuperar y mantener lo que realmente le daria mucho mas caracter y valor tanto utilitario como de negocio. Es un interior que se ve fue muy bonito en el pasado.

	Encontré todo muy limpio y agradable. Ningún problema para coger la llave ni para pagar, son gente muy maja y atenta. Está muy cerca de los lugares del centro más interesantes en una calle tranquila dentro de lo que es estar en la zona de Gran Vía.

	La verdad que esta bastante bien, no olvidemos que es un hostal y por lo tanto no te ofrece los servicios que te puede ofrecer un hotel, pero son personas muy agradables. Es un buen sitio si vas a pasar un par de noches en Madrid, muy cercano a la gran Via y con mucha accesibilidad. Lo recomiendo.

	The person in charge is extremely nice. The room is very clean, the mattress are a little too old but comfortable enough to sleep. But if you are looking for a quiet place to rest at night do not come here the hostal is situated next to this center were it is full of people into really late hours of the night and the cars are constantly honking (annoying).

We were met by the owners son (who spoke english), very important as us Brits are so lazy and dont speak any other language. The Hostal was very clean and safe. We were given keys to come and go as we please. The loacation of the Hostal is so close to the centre - 10 minute walk to Chueca (where we hang mst of the time - being party boys). Rooms were servicesd and cleaned every day. Definitely a good stay.

	Un hôtel très bien tenu ! L'accueil est chaleureux et l'emplacement est parfait pour faire la majorité des visites à pieds ! Un seul petit bémol : la mauvaise isolation des vitrages qui occasionne quelques courants d'air et une participation involontaire à la vie de la rue... Sinon, rien a redire, merci encore !

	Small room but clean. Only needed it to sleep in, therefore perfectly adequate. Balcony decent size. Maid didnt do much apart from make the beds and shove all our things to one side, would have prefered her not to come in actually. Great location. 2 mins walk from Sol and 4 mins from Plaza Mayor

You get what you pay for. The room was absolutely tiny and the noise nearby is almost too much to bear. The building next door is under construction, so one can expect to hear jackhammers, saws and trucks moving in and out EVERY morning. Also, the street below gets quite noisy at night with prostitutes around. Otherwise, the place was clean, there's a food store right next door and it's only a block from the Callo metro stop on the Gran Via. A lot of interesting distinations (Chueca, shopping at Callao, the Palacio Real) are within a short walk. They don't take well to any visitors in your room (friends or otherwise) so be well aware that the old man will likely yell at you profusely if you try.

	The only language that is spoken in this hostal is spain. It is not possible to communicate in english. The rooms and beds are very small (double bed = 125-130cm)

	The Hostel was very clean and the owners were very accomodating. Its a real shame that they are based in the area where it is full if prostitutes and there is construction work going on from 7.30 am -9.30pm which is really off putting.

The area is a bit seedy at night, lots of prostitutes, bagheads etc.,but its safer than wandering around Liverpool at night as there is a strong (armed)police prescence. The lack of kitchen is a bit of a pain, nowhere to make a cuppa unless you take a travel element, and there not being any communal area too.Nowhere to meet and chat to fellow travellers which is one of the things that's great about hostels. You do feel like you are intruding on a family a bit. That aside, the rooms are clean and cleaned , it's cheap and I would stay there again.(with a kettle though old bean!)

	i've never seen a hostal or even hotel so clean! My compliments for that! The only thing that could be better is the environment of the hostal to many prostitues on the streets near the hostal. it's no pleasure when you're going out during the evening.

	I stayed here for four days. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. the hostal is within walking distance of Grand Via, Sol and all the nightlife so couldnt be more central. I would be delighted to stay here again.

	The noise from the street included construction and, worse, late night partying under our window. We could not sleep and it was unbearable. The room was clean.

	The room was very clean and everything in very good conditions. Outside on the nearby Plaza they had streetworks which were very loud in the mornings but since we wanted to get up quite early it wasn't such a problem and I know that you have to live with that in Madrid ;-).

Tudescos offers a nice location (if you don't mind seeing prostitutes around the neighborhood during the day) - very near Grand Via and the subway stop of the same name. It is clean, but other than that has nothing else to reommend it. It's on the third floor in a building without an elevator; the staff is like ghosts - we had a hard time finding them when we had to pay (on top of which, we were told that they do not accept cards and we had to run out to withdraw several hundread euros!); the rooms are furnished with pre-war furniture; there are water pressure problems so the water barely trickles through the shower. Oh, also do not bother paying more for "shower" in the bedroom -- we hoped to have at least some privacy by booking such a room but the way the shower and the tiny curtain are positioned we did not want to risk flooding the whole room so we ended up having to use the communal bathroom anyway.

	It was a good hostal, only it was not very great to arrive there and notice that there are no elevators and you have to pull up your suitcase of 28 kg up all by yourself, 2 floors!! If I would have know this, I shouldn't have chosen this hostal. When leaving it was the same story..

My room was basic but as a cheap hostal that was all I was expecting. It was cleaned everyday the whole place was clean and fresh and it was generally quiet. The owners were friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was the area..it is on the edge of the red light district, it wasn't particularly threatening there was just one prostitute on the corner ! But as a woman travelling alone I was uncomfortable with this and did not relish the last few mins of my walk back in the evenings! If I was travelling as a couple I don't think it would have been a problem.On my first day I went in the wrong direction and found myself in a street with prostitutes everywhere (and this was lunchtime!) I couldn't get away fast enough!

	The Hostel was very nice, clean and in a great location just 10 minutes walk from Sol. The only downside was that it was hard to communicate with the couple running it as they spoke no English. I would definitely recommend it for cheap accomadation when in Madrid.

	Family run, very clean, helpful. Edge if red light district horrified at first but not a problem. Other than rush hour this is a quiet district for Madrid. Good location without too much noise just off Callo.

Hostal Tudescos is just a block off the very active Grand Via at the Callao metro stop, which makes it pretty convenient for walking in to Puerto del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Espana, or even hopping the metro out to a bullfight. The only downside is that it is a second-story hostal with no lift, but that should not be a problem except for those folks for whom carrying luggage upstairs might present a challenge.

Excellent location, very central. Clean and tidy but ensuite shower room very small, TV did not work, shutters scraped, and the street was VERY noisy. I understand that Madrid is generally very noisy, especially in the summertime, but there was a construction site right next door to the hostal. This will of course improve once the building is finished (in fact, the street might even be moderately quiet without the construction site) but the area is also a bit of a red light district. Steetwalkers outside notwithstanding, the owners of the hostal are kind, discreet and helpful. There is a convenient restaurant right across the street with a varied menu and a convenience store right next door. Very close indeed to the Gran Via and Plaza Callao.

	Hostal Tudescos is at very good & convenient location. It make me feel at home. This is very important for me specially I'm Malaysian whom for the 1st time travel alone. The place is very clean & safe. I'll definately introduce the hostal to my friends & if I were to go Madrid again, for sure will be staying there again.
