comments No me gustó el trato de la recepcionista, aunque no sea un hotel de 3 o 4* la atención al cliente debe ser primordial, lo que percibimos al llegar fué que eramos un fastidio para la recepcionista. Por otra parte, encuentro que deberían de renovar los colchones. Dormí fatal y el dolor de espalda me lo tuve que llevar todo el viaje. Por favor revisen los colchones y renueven los de la habitación 10. Seguro que ya estan mas que amortizados!

comments It was convient to walk in the town area, but the night life went on until 5:30-6:00 A.M. We were not able to use the phone at Hostal Tineo to make calls on our calling card. Our room was very small, but clean...not what appeared in the picture though.

comments Fantastic central location, rooms really clean and I didn't notice noise in the street. At the price it's fantastic value. At first the label 'Hostal' brings up doubts of shared dorms and toilets but its just like a nice clean budget hotel. highly recommended.

comments El hotel es muy sencillo pero tiene lo básico y está muy céntrico, que es lo que busco siempre cuando viajo a una capital. Sólo cogí el metro dos veces, podía ir andando a todas partes, lo cual es un lujo en una ciudad como Madrid

comments I strongly recommend it! L'hotel era pulito, e la posizione ottima! A 1 minuto da Puerta del SOl, 5 minuti da Los Cibeles e l'Ayuntamento, 10 minuti dal Prado, Estacion de Atocha..ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!

comments Good Old Madrid location. Very close to Metro and tourist information. Room was plain but adequate and ensuite bathroom was a plus! Clean. Thin walls on the corner room made it easy to hear people coming and going. Great value if you just want a place to sleep in a good location.

comments There was no elevator. the 1st night the room was barely big enough to get into w/luggage. I think for nearly $100 a night one should at least have a paper or glass cup per person in the room. When requested I got a dirty glass rinsed in cold water, only one. and the next time no glass available. the people were nice and helped w/the luggage and gave us a choice of rooms on the second night.

comments it is a simple hostal, but verry well situated in old madrid we had the luck to have been stolen all our money, passports and creditcards in the metro, from the first hour after arrival. we arrived at the hostal without money, but they helped us with 100 euro for 2 days

comments The rooms were all very clean and the staff friendly. However the two nights we stayed here the club under the hostal was open till 6 AM and you could hear almost everything.

comments los colchones eran pesimos delo peor que he encontrado en hoteles. la recepcionista era la antipatia personificada sin una pizca de amabilidad. hay un discoteca debajo por lo que el ruido es hasta las 6 de la mañana

comments Voilà un hôtel en plein centre de Madrid, au confort sommaire mais propre et parfait pour les petits budgets. L'on regrette la porte vitrée du coin douche-toilettes, qui ne permet guère l'intimité.

comments Overall we enjoyed our stay, although would have appreciated some prior warning that building works were going on at the hotel. Also feel that Hostal Tineo is al little on the pricey side, compared to other hostals in the area.

comments My friend and I really enjoyed our room. It was very spacious and had a balcony looking out over Calle Victoria. The shower was excellent. The only problem I had with the lady that ran the desk was she was very cold towards everyone. It did not take away from the great experience we had at the hostal.

comments las recepcionistas aunque extranjeras, pero fueron muy amables, limpia habitación con calefación, no se oye ruido de la calle ni dentro del hostal, agua muy caliente y toallas limpias. lo unico un poco incomodo era la puerta rota del baño pero que en realidad esto no era algo que nos causó problemas o que nos irritó mucho.

comments For the money is was a good value because it was in a great location one block from Puerto del Sol. The best part was the very helpful manager who spoke enough english to be very helpful. She arranged for a morning taxi to the airport and helped with my very heavy luggage.

comments Overall, staying at Hostal Tineo was a very practical choice. The hostel was ideally located very close to the Puerta del Sol, which made sightseeing much easier. The room was adequately clean and safe, though the lack of an air-conditioner and the noise from the restaurants made it a little uncomfortable late at night. The bottom line is that you cannot beat the price. For what you pay, Hostal Tineo is a great choice for backpackers!

comments A pesar de que la mujer que me ha atendido ha sido muy amable, la relación calidad precio es mala. Muy caro para lo que ofrece. Está muy bien situado y es fácil llegar pero las instalaciones son bastante malas. Todo es muy muy antiguo, a mi me dieron la primera habitación, doble y muy amplia, (se corresponde con lo que en principio sería el salon del piso), las puertas dobles y con cristal en el centro, cubierta esta parte con una pequeña cortina; sin persianas, asi que escuchas durante toda la noche la música del pub que hay debajo y la gente en la calle de marcha, y el baño que era compartido, en mi caso estaba en el otro extremo del hostal. Había dos, ambos muy viejos, uno excesivamente pequeño y otro mas amplio pero que tampoco daban mucha sensación de limpieza ni comodidad. La habitación estaba limpia, eso es cierto. En resumen, intentaré no volver, aunque sí volveré a utilizar vuestra página y a reservar a través de ella.

comments Hostel Tineo is in a fabulous part of town for eating and drinking, this comes with noise during sleep hours - but good noise, spanish revellers and live accordians! The new air conditioning unit was a god send! The old decor and bed created a very kitch stay in Madrid. The service was friendly, and they provided lots of good details before our stay. I would recommend this place for a unique, inexpenseive, experience in Madrid,

comments Overall, our stay at Hostal Tineo was fair. The first room we were in was very small, however, it was clean and quiet. On our second day, we were moved to a new room due to noisy construction going on throughout the building. Our new room was less than wonderful...it was over a crowded noisy cafe that was lively till 6am, and the bathroom had a leak in the celing right over the toilet which made using it a wet, uncomfortable affair. Also, the whole of the building smelled of stale cigarette. I was not dissatisfied with my stay, but would think twice about staying there again.
