	En noches de fin de semana, que es cuando estuve, es imposible dormir debido al ruido en la calle. No está en absoluto preparado ó insonorizado.Las ventanas son viejísimas y no ajustan. Es como estar acostado en la terraza de un bar de copas.

	A dos cuadras de la Gran Via y de la estacion Metro Callao,buena atencion las 24 horas muy limpio, segunda vez que voy y no sera la ultima.Recomendado

	Location is Ok, quite close do Gran Via and metro stations. However yhe place is noisy! There´s a bar/boite under the Hostal... unless you want be part of it! And cargo trucks early in the morning. Can´t sleep well.

	Convenient since it is situated in the city centre and near metro stations. Great room, very clean. The only disadvantage was that the staf didn't speak English but they were very helpful.

	Located in a very noisy part of Madrid. You have to be dead tired if you want to sleep at night. Otherwise, excellent, centrally located, very clean. Stayed 4 nights, bed linen changed the second day. 24 hour reception. Good value for money.

	the hostel's location is very good.7 min walk to central of shopping. a lot of buses and train service is convenient and can go to airport easily. the hostel is very clean and is highly recommended. the price is very reasonable.

	we were very pleased with the accomodation especially at the price we paid. the room was clean and the staff were extremly helpful. We do not speak very good spanish and the staff spoke no english but we were able to undrestand and communicate. all in all we would highly recommend hotal condestable and we will use the hostal again if we are to come to madrid again.

	Hostel was very clean,and the staff was helpful.Only rush outside all the night was very boring.I recomend hostel Condestable because good place in teh downtown near to the metro and shops.

	Todo muy bien, limpieza, atencion y comodidades; lo unico que a mi personalmente no me gusto fueron las 2 calles desde Gran Via hasta el hotel que habia que caminar pero porq estaba sola, en grupo no habria problema....

	Room good size and very clean as rest of floor. 2storeys of long steps, I am 62. Old fashioned lift. Security good. Madrid waste of time for me, hardly any english and speakers.

Street below the hostal is very noisy in the middle of the night, seedy area nearby, little/no English spoken and some service rather brusque even if Spanish spoken. However, extremely well-presented place - lovely common area, spotless comfortable room and excellent bathroom. Nice beds, 24hr access/friendly night porter and free wireless internet much appreciated. Very close to public transport (Tribunal, Callao, Gran Via), shops and entertainment.

All the reviews i read before, were correct. The hostel is very center. We arrived at Adva de America (bus station) and then we took the metro to CALLAO station, then it was 5-6 minutes walking. The neighborhood is not so pretty, also there were some prostidudes around the hostel. The next morning there were still there (working hard)! The hostel was anexpected good inside.The hostel is at the 2nd floor and It is well renovated. We were a groop. Some of us had ensuite rooms and some others shared bathroom which were very clean. The rooms are very big, clean and comfortable. There are 2 disadvantages.The first is that there is no sound isolation, so you here everything from the next rooms. The second problem is that there was too much noise from the streets till 3-4 a.m. The next morning we took the metro again, very easily to go to the airport. If you don't have problem with noise, it's a good choise. Nikos...

	Accommodation was just what we required. Clean room with comfy beds and en suite. Staff were very friendly, although they did not speak any English we managed to communicate! Even though in middle of Madrid, very quiet. Will recommend to friends. Thanks.

	El hostal está muy bien, limpio, muy agradables .... las camas muy comodas PERO hay un ruido FATAL durante toda la noche .... gente gritando, jaleo en la calle, mucho escandalo. Además hay un sitio de fiesta justo al lado del portal y toooodaaa la noche .... gente apalancada en la puerta. Si quieres dormir NO VAYAS, si quieres FIESTA .... ese es tu lugar

	I was a slightly warey of the area before I booked but the location was good, the area no problem and the room (a single with basin only) turned out to be bright, spacious and far better than I dared hoped given the price.

	Las piezas estan Bien pero se escucha mucha bulla, no hay tevecable y el wifi no funciona como dicen en todas las habitaciones

A really great value Hostal. Very clean. Towels changed daily. We stayed when it was cold in Madrid, but the Hostal was lovely and warm. The Hostal is situated only minutes away from Gran Via with all it's Cinemas & Theatres. The area around the the Hostal can get a bit noisy (but you are in a big city) so you expect some noise at times. The staff are friendly, despite speaking little English, you manage to communicate with them OK. All in all, a very good place to stay when you're on a tight budget.

	Es un Hostal muy tranquilo, limpio y bien cuidado, la relación precio-servicio es buena. Cerca de la Gran Vía, la estacion Callao. Lo único malo es el trayecto desde la estación Calloa hasta el Hostal, en la zona uno se encuentra a personas de mal vivir en horas de la noche.

	La habiatación y el baño muy limpios, buena atención. La única pega es el ruido, las paredes deben ser finas... y tampoco está bien aislado del exterior, se oia la gente que hablaba en la calle. Un poquito anticuado, pero en general, bien.

	muy bien situado, renovado, muy limpio, trato agradable. Unico inconveniente: las puertas de los balcones son un pco antiguas por lo q no son muy aislantes del sonido. Si habia jaleo en la calle por la noche, se oia todo. Pero totalmente recomendable en relacion calidad-precio.

	Uno no se espera tan buen servicio en el hostal hasta que entra, y realmente es excelente! buena atención (porque muchos hostales piensan que por tener solo un par de estrellas la atención debe ser igual), la limpieza es impecable y las habitaciones muy cómodas. Está muy bueno tb que tenga wi-fi

	The standard of cleanliness and confort and the staff was excellent. The only problem with the area was it was a bit noisy at night. If noise is not a problem then this hostal is great value

	Room was small but fine and bathroom clean and modern. Pretty quiet at night and we thought it was very good for a cheap place to stay. Very near Callao metro and central enough to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The plaza nearby is a building site but should be nice once finished!
