Very nice and clean apartments, nice beds, most of them very big, great location. We stayed two nights (Friday and Saturday). On Friday night, it was very noisy outside and we couldn't sleep very well. Saturday night was much quieter. |

We originally booked 2 apartments for 10 people, however we actually were given 3 apartments, which worked well. The apartments were very clean, with kitchen facilities. As noted in other comments, the area is noisy, however Madrid nightlife is hectic and the noise did not affect us that much. The aprtments are ideally located near all the lively areas, or a short taxi journey away. |

Resultó ser muy buena opción la de alquilar un apartamento para pasar un par de días en Madrid. Estaba situado en el centro y la movilidad desde allí fue muy buena. El apartamento era nuevo y estaba perfectamente equipado. Unicamente me gustaría hacer una sugerencia para que el servicio fuese óptimo: nosotras llegamos a Madrid en autobús y hasta la salida del mismo, de vuelta a nuestro destino, hubiese sido fantástico que en el bloque de apartamentos hubiésemos podido dejar las maletas hasta nuestra marcha, y así haber dispuesto de nuestro tiempo libre sin equipaje para movernos por la ciudad. |

L'appartamente rispondeva alle aspettative. ubicato in zona centrale con cucina interamente equipaggiata. Lo staff di bookassist-apartasol ha pienamente soddisfatto le mie richieste, compresa quella di avere un riferimento telefonico anche in tarda notte (sono arrivato all'una di notte) e la gent.ma sig.ra Gloria mi ha aspettato fino a quell'ora.
Che altro dire ? Vivamente consigliato a chi intendede passare qualche giorno a Madrid in ubicazione diversa dal solito albergo, ma con piu' liberta'. |

I would highly recommend staying here. The apartment is located in a normal residential neighborhood in downtown Madrid, right near the Callao metro stop (near Gran Via). It is a clean and large apt. with a full kitchen including a dishwasher and clothes washer. The neighborhood is great...many varied restrauants, a theater, and internet cafes. |

Apartments were very central, clean and functional. The area is a little dodgy with drugs and prostitution in close proximity but there is a good police presence(as we witnessed an undercover drugs bust!)Overall though it was great value and the location was close to metro and walking distance to alot of the main tourist attractions.

would be helpful to have a small map on booking form of how to get to gloria as i arrived late due to flight and got myself lost. take a taxi from airport it's cheap and you are on holiday, i am going back to these apartment again asap

Highly recommended, this is a great value. The apartment is basic, but clean and everything works. There is a grocery store and el corte ingles has an amazing supermarket nearby so you can save a lot cooking your own meals. I like the location (near Chueca and Gran Via major metro stops) and even though some consider it seedy, the police station is just up the street, so I considered it safe. In terms of noise, this is Madrid: they love to go out late, so you may hear some activity, but between 5am and 10am, it is dead quiet (Sunday especially). Gloria is very friendly. Just make sure you can get cash to pay her to avoid paying the extra 3% to her and to your credit card company. My only suggestion would be to provide free wi-fi internet in the apartment. I stayed a week and my place was cleaned once when I was out, which was nice.I don't think I'll ever stay in a cheap hotel again!!! |

directly in the city center, close to several interesting sites, but the neighborhood of the flat is not recommended for families, the district is suspicious; not enough blankets (it was February and quite cold), TV didn't work; screams in the street outside in the night... |

location excellent: less than 5 mins from metro, close to loads of restaurants and high street shops, walking distance to Palace Real (15mins) and Prado (25 mins).
Spacious accomodation. small but adaquate kitchen with d/washer, fridge, microwave, hob and oven. heating good with extra plug-in radiators (our stay was in jan). Like other reviewers, we too found Gloria to be v pleasant. (note: she doesn't take credit cards, cash only)
Apartment surroundings v seedy. Alot of "street life activity" day and night lead to some awkward questions from our 8 year old! noise levels bad at night up to 2am with passer-bys and garbage bin removal (collection bins directly outside front door). On school mornings, noisy again as students wait for school opposite to open at 8.30.
In general good accomodation for price, I think. Would be ideal for group of singles who party late and sleep through anything! We (me + partner + 3 kids aged 5, 8 and 10) enjoyed our stay. |

The apartment was clean and the person welcoming us was pleasant and efficient. The location was very convenient and the street feels secure(police station just around the corner) despite the numerous prostitutes working on the street.The building itself is quiet but the noise level from the street was disturbing at night despite windows and shutters being closed.The kitchen was poorly equipped(not a single drinking glass or knives) and a plumbing problem caused a permanent sewer smell in the bathroom.

Los apartamentos estan muy bien, el nuestro era para cinco personas aunque habia capacidad para 8. El edifico es muy reciente, de hace 2 años aproximadamente, y el apartamentp està muy bien cuidado. Tiene una cocina muy equipada con microondas y lavavajillas. La atención por parte de los regentes fué muy correcta. Lo más negativo la zona en la que se encuentra, hay bastante prostitucion y pub's pero está a dos calles del metro de Gran Vía y siempre hay ambiente. |

The apartment was clean and tidy but the kitchen would have been better if there had been some smaller glasses and a kettle. There was a bad smell in the bathroom coming from the drains and there was alot of noise during the night, especially at the weekend. We had been given the impression that the apartment was in a quiet area.
I don't know if we will use bookassist again but we would not stay at that apartment if we return to Madrid.

Noisy street but where isn't noisy in the centre.
It does have good air conditioning so windows can be closed over at night..
It is on third floor and no lift so not suitable for anybody with walking difficulties.
Handy for metro and for walking into centre (Sol).
Apartments clean and equipped well.
A market on the other side of Gran Via sells everything for those who want to prepare their own meals as well as local shops on same street as apartments.
Building felt safe and secure with permanent residents - very quiet - in the building.
An internet connection for a laptop is available if required.
They were expecting a cash payment for balance rather than credit card as detailed but they did accept credit card.
No complaints. |

Gloria was very helpful. The apratment was a very good deal, although the furnishings were sparse and a bit broken-down. The location was interesting--on the edige of prostitution and the old section, quite safe but seedy. I think that is why the place was so inexpensive, which we really appreciated. Being from NY, the seediness was very recognizable rather than scary. |

Los apartamentos son nuevos y están muy bien equipados, pero no iba el aire acondicionado. Están cerca de bares de marcha, así que por la noche si vas en fin de semana hay bastante ruido. Tuvimos un problema a la hora de pagar, ya que pretendían encarecer un 3% si pagábamos con tarjeta. |
