Outstanding location right in the middle of Madrid. Best metro stop is Sol. Apartment is a perfect size for 2-3 people and is right in the middle of some of the best bars/resturants in central Madrid. Would definately stay again.

The location of the apartment was great. We were in the heart of the city with a close walk to all the main places. Service was friendly and helpful. We actually almost got locked out one night because we broke our (card) hotel key, but luckily the hotel manager was available and helped us out right away. The room was comfortable and a great size for the two of us. The only thing to consider is that the hotel is located on the main street, above a popular cafe, and across from a nightclub, and so it gets pretty loud at night. Just understand that at 5am, you may be hearing the noises from outside, but because of the great location and great room, I would definetly recommend this apartment.

Siempre me creo que estos comentarios están manipulados, pero me que he quedado más que satisfecho con los apartamentos. Son como en la fotos, no engañan a nadie, perfecta localización, bien equipados y muy tranquilos. De lo mejor que he visto.

Great location, near historic center. Clean linens every week. Adequately supplied kitchen. Difficult sleeping because apt. is on Atocha. Hot water was insufficient for showering.

apartamento muito central/apartment very well located. Mas muito ruido/but very noisy.
Um pedido para os gestores : facilitar liquido para lavar loiça, pano, azucar .../a request for the management : dishwahs liquid, cloth, sugar ...should be available.

The apartment is somewhat dark because the only light comes from the airshaft, but nice and quiet. Everything was clean and worked well. The on-site manager speaks no English, but is friendly and helpful.

I've been traveling to Madrid since 1993, and this was the best overall value, best location, and best customer service I've experiences. This is my second stay at Apartmentos Madrid Atocha, and I will continue to stay here every time I visit Madrid.

We stayed recently at Apartmentos Madrid from 1 to 5 May, 2009. The location of the apartment is excellent with Puerta Del Sol and Plaza Mayor just a 5 min walk. The size of the apartment was excellent with a spacious living room and 2 bathrooms, one of which was quite large. The kitchen was also quite thoughtfully organized. It can accommodate 4 people quite easily, though we were 2. Though it was almost at the centre of the town, it was extremely quiet and we did not hear a single noise once inside at any time of the day. There were several restaurants nearby and bus/metro was a 1 min walk away.
I was also happy with their prompt response to my emails.
We landed up on a holiday and the reception was closed. However the keys were arranged and Mr Sixto of the Bar Maestro Churrero showed us the room. The restaurant is also very good with an excellent selection of dishes.
Overall a very good experience. I would strongly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Madrid. Finally the price paid was well worth it.

The studio is in the centre of Madrid, on walking distance of the famous musea.The cooking facilities were limited, I missed a waterheater and pans but we ate outside. A good bed.The studio is spacious but not sound-proof. The windows open on a small inner court with noise.

Estuvimos mi mujer, yo y nuestros tres hijos en los Apartamentos Atocha por 5 días, durante los cuales nuestra estancia fue muy satisfactoria. La recepción (el Gachupín) fue muy amable y servicial, lo que nos hizo sentir como en casa.
Los apartamentos están muy bien ubicados, cerca de la Plaza Mayor, de los museos y, en general, de todos los atractivos del centro histórico de Madrid. Tiene también una estación del metro muy cerca. A pocas cuadras está el mercado de Antón Martín donde se puede adquirir comida a buenos precios. Sin embargo, por la noche sólo hay tiendas de chinos en los alrededores y son muy caras.
Definitivamente, cuando regresemos a Madrid llegaremos de nuevo a los Apartamentos Atocha.

Recomiendo 100% la estancia en estos apartamentos...están céntricos y muy bien acondicionados. Solo un pequeño inconveniene que es el ruido de la calle, pero que se ve reconpensado por el hecho de estar tan bien situado.

English : Very very clean and like new.Just two minutes to take the underground .Only four minutes from Sol by walk ¡Washmachine,microwelle,tv in the bedroom ,any noise ..I just wished it had a coffee machine .Español :El apartamento estaba limpisimo , a tres minutos del metro Tirso de Molina ,a cinco de Sol .Mi apto tenia camas individuales .No se oia ruido de la calle porque no daba a la calle , y todo como nuevo , sobre todo el baño.La cocina es muy chiquitita con dos placas pequeñas para cocinar .Habia plancha,lavadora,tendedero,nevera,caja fuerte ,vajilla, calderos para cocinar ,tele en la pared en el salon y el dormitorio ,etc..genial y el encargado de los aptos muy amable .Sólo eché de menos una cafetera eléctrica ¡

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. It was very hot though and as there are no external windows you can lose track of time!!! The concierge was very helpful and arranged for us to leave our bags after checkout until nearer our flight time. Would definetely recommend.

Apartment is basic enough but very clean & has everything you need for a short stay. The location is perfect, within minutes walk of both Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Great location, walked to train station and other places of interest, neighborhood restaurants were great. The downside was the smell in the apartment itself, like rotten cabbage, dispite the fact that there were no less then three air freshners there!

While this apartment (floor 2, unit A) was facing the street. It had double insulated windows with interior wood shutters that can be closed at night and made any traffic noise to be not an issue for sleeping.
Apartment has AC that worked fine. Great location less then 10mins walk to Sol, 5 mins to nearest Metro stop.
Would stay at this apartment if we were to visit Madrid again.

Perfect location (5 minutes walk from the major attractions in the madrid central area). Very complete (washing machine, microwave, fridge etc.). Receptionist didn't spoke english what made the communication quite difficult. But overall it was good!

Great location - very central. The apartment is also surprisingly quiet considering the area, as it faces inwards towards a small light well. All clean, with well-equipped kitchen. Also the contact people on site were all very helpful. We would certainly stay again and recommend it to others. The only downside was that there were no bedside lamps, just a horrible overhead florescent!

Simple and quiet. Well situated in the center of the city. Kitchen equipment very poor. f.i. no toaster, no wine glasses, no water cooker, no orange juicer and very few utensils. Also the lightning in the kitchen was not sufficient.

Although the apartment was clean the bins had not been emptied which gives a bad impression (particularly in the bathroom). Apart from that, I only have good things to say, the owner met us upon arrival and was very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and the flat was right in the city centre, perfect for access to all places. Something very important is the central heating system, otherwise we would have frozen in the flat. Very much appreciated.

A third bed was not what we expected. We expected a sofa. Now we only used the livingroom for breakfast, and sat on the bed in the bedroom because there was no sofa / coffeetable.

Staff were particularly helpful after my husband was pickpocketed, letting us use the phone for lengthy periods and providing an English speaker to help with translation. The apartment is very well-located, a 20 minute walk from the train station, 15 minute walk from major museums and 5 minute walk from Plaza Mayor and central business distict. The apartment was quite comfortable, kitchen well-equipped, and entire apartment clean and well-maintained.

The apartment was great, central and very clean, with a lot of facilities. It was great to be able to come and go as you pleased. Also they allowed us to check out late which was very accommodating (but maybe this was because we visited in October, which is not so busy!)
