comments Our stay was better than anticipated. The atmostphere is relaxing. Room was perfect and staff were very pleasent & very helpful. Eventhough the hotel is close to the village, the setting is what you might expect from a country house/manor with the river flowing in the background. We'll be back!!!!

comments The staff were very friendly and helpful, but I felt the place was shabbier and less luxurious than I had been led to expect. The main building is nice, but the adjoining houses, though spacious, are shoddily built, with cracks in the bathroom tiles, and squeaky floors upstairs. The swimming pool complex was separate from the hotel, which was slightly off-putting. Breakfasts were great, but the evening meal was stuck in an eighties time-warp.

comments Nice hotel for a relaxing break. We stayed in houses on the grounds that were not attached to the hotel. I would have liked to have been aware of that prior to booking. Also the pool and gym is separate from the hotel. Apart from this, staff were friendly and the food was very good

comments We were pleasantly surprised as we were led out of the hotel to the appartment building. We opened the door to a great t.v. lounge and dining area with 2 bedrooms upstairs, one of which was locked. Our friends were in the ajoining appartment. The ladies enjoyed a relaxing day using the spa facilities whilst we enjoyed a round of golf nearby! The breakfast buffet was great and the staff very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this hotel.

comments The hotel grounds were very nice for walking in. Staff friendly. Food was only mediocre i'm afraid. The accomodation allocated was like a hotel suite, very nice indeed. Nearby village scenic too. Overall pleasantly surprised and impressed.

comments We expected a double room with added beds for our two sons who were free of charge[meals not included] as part of a hotel deal, so we were delighted to be housed in an executive suite - excellent! However the breakfast was dissappointing. Waiting for up to 30 mins for a table- surely times could have been scheduled or staggered in some way. Possibly the large number of young families to be fed did slow the meals down, but as the details of childrens ages are requested at time of booking surely this info could have been passed on to the kithchen/waiting staff. On the 1st morning of our stay we were informed that only scrambled eggs were available. As our order included an omelette and fried eggs we were rather frustrated - the villlage shop was only a few minutes away I would have collected them myself. When our hot breakfast came after another delay it became apparent that the eggs had been cooked for some time. To my mind they were inedible, so I left them untouched. Also the portion, one rasher, one sausage per adult was rather dissappointing as they were quite tasty.

comments This hotel was nice. Room was spacious and comfortable. One minor problem was there was no lift and we had to carry our luggage up and down the main stairs, plus the corridors had little steps along the way. So not good if you have mobility problems. Breakfast very good. Lovely location - peaceful but close to Limerick. Had a meal in bar which was good.
