comments Really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Kilkenny, the deluxe room was fab, and I must mention the power shower, it defiantely lives up to its name,really wakes you up!Hotel staff were extremly friendly and approachable, an ultra stylish hotel but with a homely atmosphere, we will be back.

comments Stayed in Hotel Kilkenny in Jan 2010 and enjoyed every minute of it. Very relaxing atmosphere and very quiet not too near the city but only a short stroll. All the staff were very nice and helpful and the room was kept spotless. Will be back again...

comments My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Kilkenny for two nights last weekend. On arrival we were disappointed with opur room as there was a strong odour of cigarette smoke in it. We requested a different room, however the hotel was full. The hotel organised for a 'fresh-air cleaning unit' to be put in the room for a few hours. When we returned to our room, the smell was mostly gone. The bathroom in our room could do with being renovated and modernised- bath, tiles. The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The bar has a lovely atmpsphere and the bar menu and food is excellent. Staff at the hotel could not be friendlier or more helpful-they really made us feel good and added to our stay there.

comments exceiient food,competent child friendly staff,..thoroughly enjoyed spa facilities....after staying in countless hotels both here and abroad it would only be fair to give the Hotel Kilkenny my absolute recommendation....in addition i found Kilkenny city to be a lovely place to walkaround with alot to offer.....especially its history....well done to the staff and management,and congrats on how they present themselves and their hotel to their customers...

comments we upgraded to a superior room for 50 euro per night which was very nice. The hotel itself was very quiet and the main dining room was closed with the bar being the main eating area. This break was the occasion of a special birthday and a wedding anniversary and we had a relaxing break

comments Stayed in the hotel for the fri and sat nite and really enjoyed it. The rooms were excellent, way above our expectations, and the leisure facilities were very impressive. The food in the hotel restaraunt was good value for money and very tasty, the bar had live music which was also really enjoyable. We are a coulpe in our late twenties and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I would have preferred a little more visitor information booklets in the lobby as to inform guests of attractions and activities in the local area. comments The hotel itself was gorgeous, really modern and clean. The room itself was amazing. I was very surprised at the size of it, was huge! All the staff were extremely friendly and i liked how the room was cleaned daily. The pool and gym facilities were excellent. I didn't go to the restaurant during my stay but the breakfast was lovely. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definately be back again if i'm going to kilkenny.

comments The staff are friendly, the breakfast had a great Mexican option,Heuvos Rancheros, which was a pleasant change from the expected full 'Irish'. The room was good with the TV placed up high and there is free access to the Internet over Cat5 Cable which they will supply to you if you do not have one. I was very happy with my stay here and I will no doubt be back.

comments the hotel is always clean and fresh. Bedrooms imaculate with sparkling and still water free to guests. leisure centre very clean and well kept. Showers with free shower gel etc. Hotel staff very friendly and co operative. Food superb. 10 minutes walk from city centre. 10 out of 10.

comments We had a great time yet again at Hotel Kilkenny having stayed there last year too. The only thing for consideration might be the addition of a fridge in the room. I am a diabetic and use insulin which needs to be stored in a fridge. It would have been a lot easier for me if I didn't have to ask reception staff to get it for me from the kitchen where they kindly had stored it for me.

The hotel rooms are very comfortable, the location is very near the city centre and you also had the option of the hotel bar/restaurant itself which were quite lively on Saturday nights and nice relaxing on a Sunday night.

comments We were a party of 4 staying 2 night over a weekend celebrating an occassion. We stayed in delux rooms which were very well appointed, modern, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Standards in all areas including the restaraunt and bar were extremely high but above all we were most impressed by the attention to detail and customer friendly attitude of the staff in all areas. No faults to report in any area, well done to the staff who were instrumental in providing us with a wonderful weekend. We will certainly return to Hotel Kilkenny.

comments Freindly check in staff,nice rooms,breakfast was nice but didn't like to wait for table, breakfast staff were nice. One big problem I had was that the first batch of rooms on my floor had smokers in them and the non smoking rooms were further downb corridor so I had to walk through the smoking corridor to get to non smoking area, very disgusting stale smell, maybe there should have smokers all on top floor so the smell don't rise. some air freshners would be nice. It could have been just a weekend thing but it's how I remember my stay.

comments This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable and in a nice location. The only downside is the fact that the restaurant is an Italian restaurant and if, like me, your partner is a typical Irish meat & 2 veg guy, then this is not suitable. The food was very bland and tasteless, and to up-grade to the a-la-carte menu cost ?32 extra which is far too much. I would stay in this hotel again, but choose not to eat in the restaurant.

comments Very comfortable hotel, food in bar and restaurant very good. Not particularly child friendly, very strict times re children in bar and restaurant and no entertainment in bar.Children's club restricted and more like a creche facility. Bathroom in bedroom very disappointing, shower unusable as water sprayed everywhere, bathroom door in need of repair and paint. Seems like they forgot about the bathroom when redecorating the room.

comments Lovely, stylish 4 star Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were freshly prepared when ordered which was a nice change from the usual hot buffet with overcooked food. The evening meal, which was included in our package was of a high standard for hotel food. We had a delux room which was quite large and nicely decorated. The location, just 10 minutes walk from the city was excellent as there was ample parking and peaceful surroundings. Kilkenny can get quite lively on weekend nights so more central hotels may not be as quiet at night. Although I am not a smoker the smoking area outside the bar was very pleasant with shelter, heaters and ample seating. The only negitive with the hotel was that the reception area or our room did not contain any tourist information about Kilkenny and we had to ask local staff for this.

comments The hotel was lovely and all staff were very nice. the trooms were spacious and nicely decorated and very plesant to stay in. The leisure facitities were fantastic and a must for everybody who stays to use.The only let down was the hotel resturant. The menu choice was poor and there was no prices displayed on the menus so you had no idea what you where being charged. apart fromt the resturant it really is a lovely hotel and a great place to stay
