Room Safes not working.Receptionist didn't offer use of hotel safe.
At check-in ordered taxi for 8.30 next morning this was not booked by receptionist. |

lovely quiet hotel. would benefit from leisure centre and kids playarea outside. service good apart from poor comprehension of one member of staffs grasp of english language in bar on second evening. bedroom lovely and spacious, beds very good. central location easy to get to. |

Beautiful hotel in great location & grounds. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Restaurant was ok nothing spectacular. staff 90% foreign - limited understanding of english which is hard to communicate what you need, but they were all very pleasant. Staff smoking instairwells of the hotel which is completely unacceptable! |

VEry basic restaurant facilities for dinner. Very limited choice for dinner that was included, could not choose from main menu. breakfast was listed as being served on Sunday from 7.30 am, but on arrival in dining room at 8 breakfast still had not been set up. |

Setanta House seems to be primarily a Wedding hotel - both nights of our stay were marred by noise from the function rooms until late at night. Despite asking for a quiet room on checking-in, we were given one above a main function room... Apart from that, the stay was fine - good hearty dinner and breakfasts. |

Setanta House is a lovely hotel, we stayed mid week so it was very quite. The food was great and the bar staff were very friendly. The hallways to the bedrooms were a bit grubby other than that everything was fine. The next time will be a weekend! |

The staff were friendly the rooms were lovely. The hotel in general was great. The resaurant was excellent. Some basic facilities could have been better. No kettle. had to ask twice. not enough towels or toiletries. 1 pack of shower gel between 2 per day. The double bed waas 2 singles pushed together!!! All in all we had a great time. We'd definitly go back! |

Room was fine, food was very good. Make sure you request a room well away from the function rooms as there seem to be a lot of parties and weddings at this hotel. |

We found the rooms very warm which made it difficult to sleep. Would have liked a seperate dining room from the bar. Food was excellent, staff were very good and overall we enjoyed our stay |

We were given a very large room. Unfortunately it was a smoking room and so had a bad odour of stale smoke. The bed and bathroom were excellent. This hotel would make a good base for visiting nearby attractions but is unsuitable for a Golden Years break. |

~We had a very pleasant stay at Setanta for the New Year but were very disappointed with the low volume of people at their New Years Party when I say low I mean maybe 20 people for a New Years Party which gave no atmosphere whatsoever/that was very disappointing for us. Otherwise, evertyhing was ok and the staff were very pleasant. |

The rooms and the gardens etc were great, could not fault those, the only downside is that there should be more staff(experienced) epecially when wedding receptions are taking place, as the people staying who are not there for a wedding get forgotten abount, for instance our included meal was served in the bar not a resturant and we had to fight our way to the bar for attention as the wedding party had spilled over into the bar , we got servrd eventually but missed out on desert as they had run out i think.Also cleniness in the lifts, as we left the lifts still had beer stains and smelt awful, not good, hardly any staff in brakfast room even though there was only a handful of people at one sitting. |
