comments The Glenroyal itself was fantastic - right in the centre of Maynooth, fantastic swimming pools, jacuzzi and sauna and food was delicious. Sadly roommates next door were very noisy and no answer from recpetion so we had a restless night, but not the hotel's fault and staff did apologise that Porter is not able to man desk all night - may be helpful to have a specific number for complaints regarding noise or two staff members covering at night. Nonetheless, a fantastic hotel and would not discourage us from booking again - excellent value for money! Thank you

comments I would highly recommend this hotel to others. I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Glenroyal. The staff were just fabulous, so friendly and extremely helpful. In fact, I just need an excuse to return. The leisure centre is fabulous and was pleased with the room. Very big thumbs up. The best hotel I've ever stayed in.

comments Service was excellent. Staff were pleasant and genuinely helpful. Food in the bar was just okay. Breaded fish for "catch of the day" a disappointment-damp on the outside, not crisp. Salad out of a bag not well presented. Rooms are tired looking. Bathroom with stained silicone around base of toilet not inviting.

comments we loved our stay at the glenroyal, rooms where lovely, staff couldn't do enough for us and the thia restaurant was totally amazing, we would recomend this hotel to anyone and will hopefully get back again soon, also the swimming pool was very nice and clean. was worried though before arriving as reviews on trip advisor where not great but just went for it and so glad we did. thanks again

comments Cons: Room was very small. Bathroom was small the toilet is too close to sink Hotel seems very run down and in need of refurbishment Have stayed in better for the same money, try clarion liffey valley. Pros: The room was cheap.

comments we didnt stay long enough to comment accurately but one member of the bar staff(foreign female)little bit rude and no manners while serving me. breakfast staff the exact opposite v.friendly;pleasant and helpful..while entering the hotel its not nice to be greeted at the reception door by smokers and also passing the bar door from the car park some of the language being used by patrons outside smoking wasnt v.nice when your passing with young kids maybe a segregated area for smokers might be an idea and it would probably enhance the image of the front of the hotel aswel

comments Dear sir, or Madam. I would like to say that I had a wonderful time in your hotel. I have worked in the hotel trade for the past twenty years and I would like to say that your services were second to none. From the food which was amazing, to bar staff and breakfast staff of which all were so courteous and friendly. The house keepers waited quietly on the corridor for us to vacate our rooms. I would expect this serves from a five star hotel but as you know yourself you don't always get it, but you may well be very proud of the whole hotel for making my stay a great experience. I Would have no hesitation in recommending your fine establishment to all my colleagues, family and friends to stay in. Thanking you Bernadette Dennany

comments I needed lodgings with easy access to the mototway, the M50 and the airport. This hotel was ideal for my requirements and it was also very good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful and there were many shops in the vicinity

comments I was very impressed with the pool and pool staff and all the facilities at this end of the hotel .The price was brilliant would make me think of going again I was not impressed with the breakfast the sausages seemed poor quality the rashers burned and very salty and service let down the rest of the hotel overall very pleased

comments Not a particularly attractive entrance/car park but efficient reception staff. Stayed twice, first time room was decent sized, second time room was tiny with a really crappy little tv, general finish of the room was poor with wires/cords etc all over the place - was late arriving and exhausted but will insist on changing room next time. Clean in general but a Mixed bag overall.

comments very poor room for the price, articles in the rooms need replacing as they are damaged and do not give a good representation of the hotel in general. everything else was fine. food and drink quite expensive.

comments The hotel itself and the rooms were very nice, and it is because of the pleasantness of the actual hotel that I have scored my stay a mark of three just slightly over halfway. However when it came to dealing with the staff, notably the front desk, I was not satisfied at all with how I was treated. The reception desk was constantly quite brisk with mw anytime I had a query, barely looking up at me to answer and giving off the overall impression that I was not being taken seriously as a customer, despite the fact I had paid for my two rooms like all other guests. This is not an isolated incident. I also stayed in the hotel in March 2010 and was treated in the same manner by the front of house staff- as though I was merely being tolerated there. Another fault I found was that I was woken up in the morning at about half eight by workmen conducting repairs, shouting to each other up the corridors and talking very loudly outside my room. Overall I was not satisfied at all by your staff, but cannot fault the premises themselves.

comments The Glenroyal Hotel has some excellent, large rooms, very comfortable and well equipped for for work-related matters (desk, fast internet connections, etc). The bistro is very good, as is room service. Although we haven't checked it out the leisure club with its massive pool looks great!

comments It's been a while since I stopped with you. Comments for improvement: The mens changing rooms in particular the shower area for swimming have deteriated considerably. The other would be bar food/snacks available after 9:00pm; this is too early. Staff were very good.

comments The shower in the room was not very good . The shower curtain did not stay in the tray and water ran out onto the bathroom floor and caused a flood everytime it was used. I would have liked a room with a bath if there was one available. Other than that everything was perfect.

comments This hotel is clean and the rooms are adequate. Th reception staff were generally very courtious but did not ask how my stay was, nor hoped that my stay was pleasant. Additionally, the only downside to the hotel was the breakfast experience. Not great and very thrown together. Apart from this I would recommend staying in the hotel.

comments The room was very nice. The staff were very nice. I was asked by Mary if I'd like to book dinner which I did but she didn't tell me that there were two restaurants. We were booked into the bistro which to be honest, wasn't great. The surroundings would be forgiven if there was good food but he menu is very poor. We asked if we could eat upstairs at the Thai restaurant instead and luckily they had a table available. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. The food was excellent and the young lady who waited on our table was fantastic. Later we went for a drink in the bar and again we found it to be lacking in atmosphere. It's beautifully decorated but has no warmth. I wouldn't be inclined to go back if I lived in Maynooth. I am not complaining but you did ask and I'm sure you want honest feedback. As it is reasonably priced, I would stay at the Glenroyal Hotel again.

comments The sound proofing of the room was awful, we could hear conversations in the next room and were woken up by very drunk guests early in the morning which took quite some time to sort out - not a very relaxing stay! The sheets on the bed had someone else's hair on the pillows which was quite off putting and the room felt quite tired. The reception staff we dealt with were brilliant though.

comments great place to stay, staff very friendly and room large comfortable and clean. The breakfast is great with a wide choice and good hot Irish breaakfast. Lan Tania restaurant served an excellent dinner and saved walking out on a cold evening. Lots of parking but also very handy for the train into Dublin and on to the airport by bus. We will stay here again.

comments This hotel hold a special place in our hearts. We were married here and recently spent a night back in the hotel for our anniversary. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us and we were upgraded to the bridal suite for our nights stay to bring back the memories of our wedding night. This is why I would recommend people to stay in this hotel or have a social gathering / event at the hotel.

comments Absolutely loved this hotel! So much nicer to see a traditional hotel instead of all the newer modernised types. Book-in was great key card was ready payment done in 2 secs. The 6PM late check out for the €20.00 extra was fantastic very handy. Room Service was delicious. Rooms very small though but still lovely.

comments Excellent location as regards dart to Dublin. Room large and airy. Two swimming pools excellent idea, as no children jumping in on top of me. Leisure centre best I have ever attended, even abroad. Dinner was excellent and would highly recommend it for week-ends.

comments although we only stayed the one night, we found the hotel very comfortable. the room was of a very high standard, however a minbar in the room wouold have been a welcome addition as room service ends at 9 pm.

comments It was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very polite and helpful and the room was nice. Breakfast was really good and included in the price. I had the duck for dinner and would highly recommend it.

comments nice large rooms, I had one at back so it was quiet. Heating on all night which was a waste, and seemed to be off in morning? but everything you could want is there, and the staff are lovely and friendly and helpful.

comments Living in England where service is a chore, it was refreshing to stay at the Glenroyal whose staff seemed to care about being of help. Perhaps they were just pleasant people!
