	Check in very bad - only 1 person at desk with a queue of 4 people trying to check-in. Not what I would have expected from a 4 * Hotel. Drink overpriced. Rooms are very ordinary.

Firstly, My name is Ray Kennedy and I booked the room. This was a gift for a business associate who is also a member of your golf club. There was a deposit taken out of my Credit Card. When my client was checking out of the hotel she was told that the card boucned. There wre sufficient funds in the card at that time. There was sufficient funds in the account at the time of taking the booking. I have heard nothing from Carton House about a problem with payment. I would consider the proffessional approach would have been to ring me, not ask my client what they wanted to do. Also I do not appreciate my someone who is not the card holder being told that the card bounced. While I understand the service was satisfactory on the evening the purpose of using your facility was totally undermined by this experience. It has left all parties in no doubt that to consider using Carton House again would not be a risk that the business could afford to take.

we visit carton house at least twice a year. i suppose what bings us back is the convenience from dublin and the beautiful rooms. on the down side i always find the restaurand dissapointing for both dinner and breakfast, not up to scratch for the high standard of hotel. the decor in the rooms is fantastic but the room alsways seems too hot or too cold air condt. tricky to operate.on our last visit i found the reception staff to be unenthusiastic and looked at me as if i had two heads when i referred to the temp. in the room upon arrival. the atmospher in the foyer and the bar is as welcoming as always.

Beautiful grounds, very peaceful and quiet, high standard of finish in rooms and obvious attention to detail. Ordered food to room - well presented abd delicious but took much longer to arrive than advised on telephone. Staff very professional and pleasant. Only one staff member covering reception when I arrived and as dealing with another guest I was waiting over 15 minutes to check in. Not a problem for check out however. Would stay again.

	The location is beautiful the staff extremely helpful and friendly a really relaxing break Told family and friends they should visit, Walks spectacular, old house wonderfully restored. Food scrumptious and chef very obliging with regard to tastes and diet. Thank you. Elizabeth Moloney.
