comments I DISCUSSED WITH MY SISTER YOUR HOTEL AND WE BOTH AGREED THAT STAFF WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, A MALE EMPLOYEE SPOKE WITH US ON SAT MORNING AND ASKED IF WE WERE LOOKED AFTER OK, WHICHWE WERE. FOOD EXCELLENT, MY PERSONAL COMMENT WAS " WE WERE MADE FEEL THAT IT WAS OUR CASTLE" FOR THE OCCASION. THE BEDROOM WAS EXCELLENT AND IN THE MORNING THERE WAS NO DISTURBANCE I.E NOISE IN THE CORRIDOR, CHILDREN PLAYING, CLEANING STAFF ETC. V. PLEASED WITH THE PACKAGE.

comments this was my second time staying in the kenmare bay hotel i love staying there, my only problem this time was that i couldnt get breakfast to my room other than that we had a lovely stay.

comments Having stayed in a lodge here previously the hotel obviously is a not as good which is not a judgment on the hotel but the quality of the lodges. The staff however are excellent and both professional and approachable which is a bonus for staying in the hotel.

comments My wife and enjoyed our stay in The Kenmare Bay. The leisure centre was great.We had booked online and worked out the most economical way but on arrival we discovered there was a specila on breakfast for only 7.50€ . This was not mentioned on the website and we paid what was supposed to be a reduced rate from 12.50 to 10€.On the 2nd mornign of our stay the only way we knew housekeeping had been was the duvet was pulled up on the bed..the sheet was in a ball under it. No dirty glasses had been removed and no effort at all had been made to tidy the room in any way. I reported it to reception but all she said was she would pass hte comment on !!

comments Location of hotel not well signposted Found it diffucult to find hotel on arrival in Kenmare. Staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast very good. Evening meal good but vegetarian option was poor. It didn't provide protein to replace meat. The stay was overall very pleasant.

comments overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel- the staff were friendly and helpful;our room was nice and the leisure facilities were very good. However we were very disappointed with the evening meal in the restaurant. I had the monkfish which I felt needed some sauce or dressing to complement it.we chose the veg and potatoes to accompany our main course and i could't believe it when the waitress brought us a little dish of frozen mixed veg with 2 tiny pieces of fresh broccoli on top.i suppose i should have said something there and then but it was my husband's birthday celebration and we just wanted to enjoy our meal without any agro. After our main meal the waitress brought my husband a dessert plate with happy birthday on it which was a nice touch as i hadn't requested it.i decided to have an irish coffee to finish off my meal but unfortunately it was more like a hot wjhiskey with cream on top which was sinking faster than the titanic! i am sorry to be so negative but i suppose I just wanted everything to be perfect for my husband's birthday and your website including details about your new chef had looked impressive when I was deciding where to book. thank you.

comments Beautiful hotel with a good breakfast in a beautiful location. If i was to be very picky i would say that the bar is very small and there was no barman there when we arrived back after a meal in town at about 10:30 or so. Looked very comfortable but no background music and a few guests sitting & chatting. Overall a great place to stay though.

comments I really enjoyed my stay here after a wedding, however the singe beds pushed together as a double in our room came apart and the breakfast was disorganised, i do appreciate the volume of traffic the morning after a wedding though.

The food was lovely however unfortunately the Accommadation left down the Kenmare Bay with uncomfortable bed & pillows could not get a good night sleep as it added to underlying neck pain problems. Definately a lovely place to eat in pleasant surroundings .

comments December 2010. Coming to Kenmare was a business trip for the Mc Sweeney Pharmecy. We needed a hotel with a large car park for car and trailer and close stay to the village of Kenmare. We arrived a day late due to the wetter and left a day earlier and the hotel helped us anyway they can. The upgrade was much appreciated.... I can recommend everybody to stay in this Hotel. Wij moesten naar Kenmare voor werk en hadden een grote parkeerplaats nodig voor onze auto met aanhanger dichtbij bij het centrum van Kenmare. Door het weer kwamen wij een dag te laat en verlieten het hotel jammer genoeg eendag eerder. We kregen een upgrade en deze hebben wij natuurlijk met open handen aangenomen. Ik kan iedereen het hotel aan bevelen. Rob de Voogd Holland

comments Positives: - Dinner was delicious - short walk to town Negatives: - breakfast was chaotic. we were shown to a table that people were already at. there was no milk/sugar on table so had to look for it. so mad we had it in our room on the second day - very small bar which was packed so couldn't get a seat and barman was on his own so kept disappearing for ice etc - got a voucher for the hotel and was very disappointed not to be able to use it in the hotel as I was told it could only be used online as it was bought online

comments Nicely located, close to the town centre. Room Nice Leisure centre good. Staff Friendly. Some difference between the opening times of the leisure centre and what hotel reception quoted so we didn't get as long in the leisure centre as we wanted. One small thing was that some of the breakfast ware and coffee pot were dirty ie. coffee pot had tomato seeds on it. Overall enjoyable experience.

comments The Reception area gives an impression of a really lovely hotel, so we were were looking forward to staying overnight. We were extremely disappointed with the hotel. The room we stayed in was small and in need of updating. The barman looked like he was doing us a favour by coming up from the reception area when we rang the bell to order a drink. There was no room service, which we were hoping for, when we returned at 10.00pm. We had to resort to a packet of crisps from a vending machine in the corridor. Certainly not what we expected. We would not consider staying here again.

comments had to change room due to being allocated a smoking room. Reception initially said that it wasn't a smoking room and offered to spay air freshener, the excuse that the no smoking sign had fallen off the room door is hard to believe. Would have given a score of 5 if you'd delt with this problem by offering us a different room immediately.

comments The room was clean and comfortable and the meals were fantastic and the staff in the dining room and leisure center were friendly and helpful, but car park outside our window and woken by a row at 3am. and an emergency door at end of corridor was open for anyone to enter. We intended to say something at the reception desk but girl on was only interested in us paying for our stay and didn't even ask if we enjoyed our stay, obviously don't like her job.

comments Hotel has an impressive lobby, but rooms are fairly standard and could have been cleaner. Bath tub was stained, there was only one bed side locker, a few marks on the walls and the cups and saucers had not been changed-there was tea stains on the saucers. Staff were disappointing. The girl that checked us in did not greet us upon arrival and was slow to look up from her computer when dealing with us, she barely spoke to us and did not smile once. Hotel was loud at night, we woke up in middle of night to the sound of arguing in the hallways. We came down for breakfast early the next morning,around 7.50am. The check in girl never told us the breakfast times so we didnt realise it wasnt served until 8am. the lady at the front desk thst morning told us to go into dining room where we 'waited to be seated'as requested by a sign inside the door. we stood there for a good few minutes until i had to go back out to reception to ask what was going on. when we sat we were immediatly served tea and toast, then i asked one of the waitresses was there any hot food, she told us it wasnt brought out until 8am...it was gone 8am at this stage. food was ok, buffet breakfast. the last annoying thing about the staff was that there was 3 waitresses working in the dining room for breakfast who just stood at counter by the door speaking and laughing very loudly in a foreign language. Only positives about this hotel is the leisure centre. these facilities are really good, even though i stepped on a plaster in the pool! I wouldnt stay here again, plenty of other hotels in kenmare to try out.

comments On arrival the staff where friendly and welcoming, infact right through our stay Reception stay where very helpful. The hotel is the perfect place for a family break The kids had a blast and we had time to ourselves thanks to the kids club. It was Definitely value for money and we'll be back.

comments I found the Hotel & Staff very helpful, we got locked out of our room with a fault in the electronc door system & it took about an hour to resolve this but in fairness it was a Sunday morning. They could not have been nicer to us. The people of Kenmare were very friendly and helpful. There is lots to see in that area & the night life in the local bars excellent. Prices very reasonable & the leeches in Dublin's Temle Bar could learn a lot from them on the hospitality. I would recommend a visit to Kenmare Bay Hotel & the area in general.

comments The team at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again and have recommended it to my friends. The food was fine but just normal hotel food....nothing amazing. However, buffet breakfast was excellent and very well run.

comments The bar wasn't very good and considering it was mid-term break children were not allowed into the pool before 10am.We would normally have a swim before breakfast but coul not do so here. Staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was very comfortable and very close to the town

comments Very nice hotel in a great location - literally 3 minutes walk from the town centre. The accommodation in the guest house was superb, extremely well equipped, very modern and clean. The pool was also excellent and provided a good escape from the terrible weather. The only downside we found was when we went for a late lunch in the bar, the atmosphere and food were not good and put us off trying the restaurant, there are plenty of good places to eat in Kenmare though so it was not a problem.

comments We stayed in one of the lodges. brand new, beautifully furnished with flat screen tvs, a game box with cards and board games for the kids. The kitchen area was fully stocked with every gadget you'd need to cook a four course meal. Breakfast was full Irish in the hotel, great coffee. We did not use the leisure facilities though we had access if we wanted to. The staff were friendly. We will come again.

comments Arrived in cold faded room and after two protests was offered 'upgrade' for ?40. Third call and we received the upgrade. The old rooms are a non-runner in this day and age. New rooms superb. comments the hotel accomodatin was lovely it will be a great facility when finished for kenmare, found the bar expensive for some drinks, 5.10 for btl of smirnoff ice usually abt 4.50 max, the bar small. Check out was very slow but with a new system I'm sure this will improve as staff get used to system.
