comments I understand that some of the rooms in the hotel are non-smoking, and I would have liked the option to choose a non smoking room for my stay.

comments It was fine. Hotel is central (5 mins walk to train station). We were only there for one night. The rooms were a bit stuffy!

comments The staff was very courteous and helpful. Excellent breakfast. We did not experience any parking problems but arrived later in the evening (after an afternoon round at Tralee Golf Course) and left early in the morning (another round at Tralee). The hotel was convenient to the golf course and looked like a very good location for running around town. My room was clean and actually quite spacious. And the price was right -- an outstanding value (relative to the rest of the accomodations in Tralee).

comments We loved the Grand Hotel! It was beautiful, very good location in Tralee and the staff were terrific especially to two weary travelers dealing with jet lag and a two hour drive from Shannon Airport. The personnel at the Reception Desk were always pleasant and had great information for us regarding the town itself and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay there again.

comments It came as a pleasent and welcome surprise that the art of hotel management and the practice of basis courtasy are still practiced in some hotels in this country. The staff, athmosphere and ethos of the Grand Hotel Tralee are an example of how good a hotel can be, and all wihtout the pain of being over priced!

comments Staff extremely friendly, I arrived at nearly midnight after a long journey and was offered a sandwich and tea. No lift to the room but not an arduous climb and I didn't have heavy luggage so it was ok. Very pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern the room was, only complaint was pillows like bags of cement they were so hard, but slept well and although facing the street I was not bothered by noise. Thoroughly recommend this hotel on basis of one night stay. Great breakfast and brilliant value.

comments a great hotel with the best food in all of tralee. the staff was first rate in every way. i will definitely stay there again. anyone stayiong in tralee would be foolish to try to stay somewhere else. a tremendous value in a great location.

comments Warm, friendly, cosy hotel. The staff and manager were always solicitous of my needs, and made several suggestions that increased my enjoyment of the hotel and my stay in Tralee. About half the rooms have been updated without losing their charm. Work is being planned for the remaining rooms; it would be best to request a refurbished room when making the reservation. The hotel is on the best street in Tralee, very elegant and with less traffic than adjoining streets.Limited parking is available behind the hotel, but there is a very affordable carpark within two blocks. There are two very good restaurants associated with the hotel, one more formal and the other has more of a pub feel. The food is quite good.The breakfast that comes with some plans is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

comments Stayed in this hotel for the Rose of Tralee weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful, anything we needed was no problem. Our room was at the back of the hotel, where the staff and deliveries must be taken which was quite noisy but didn't bother us so if noise would bother you maybe request a quieter spot in the hotel. The food was the best thing, breakfasts were just yummy and dinner was very very tasty so compliments on the food guys.

comments Had food in the resteraunt and food and service was great. Staff on hotel reception were very welcoming and effecient as was the porter late at night! We are non smokers and were placed in a smoking room so didn't like the smell despite the good housekeeping. In fairness we didn't ask to be moved so probably could have if we did. Overall I was impressed with the hotel as a 3star hotel.

comments No biscuits with tea/coffee tray. A fan in the room would have helped on warm nights. Apart from that everything was good and we will visit again. No wi'fi available as far as we could find.
