comments The Arbutus is a superbly run hotel, with such a friendly atmousphere. The staff go that extra mile in every way to make sure your stay is enjoyable, something you would not get in a chain hotel. When I return to Killarney, this will be my choice of accommodation. I have also recommended it to others. SUPERB

comments all the staff were very welcoming and did everything to ensure we were happy. Not having parking within the hotel complex was a disadvantage, however if you didn't have a car the location was excellent in terms of being in the centre of things. The offer stated that you could avail of dinner on one of the three nights. The dining room does not open for dinner on Monday or Tuesday night so therefore we had to make the dinner reservation on the Sunday night.

comments The Arbutus Hotel is a lovely old world hotel which has lovingly kept its character. I loved its cosiness and it is quite plain to see that is is a many generations family run hotel with that personal touch which can be lacking in the ultra modern hotels howadays where they all look much the same. Both reception and dining staff were very helpful and interested in their guests needs at all times. We even bought some gift vouchers for friends whose anniversary is coming up soon. The hotel is also centrally located in the town which is also good.

comments Stayed at the Arbutus Hotel for 3 nights.Dining room excellent.Had a delicious evening meal on 1 of the days. Staff were very friendly. Our room was nice and newly decorated and the only fault I had was, there was no hand soap. An oversight?

comments The staff were really friendly and helpful. The only minor issue we really had was that the rooms were a little noisy, but we were aware that it was an older hotel that didn't have as much sound insulation as a newer hotel.

comments I found the service and the hospitality at the Arbutus excellent and could not fault it at all. I had babys bottles and baby food that I needed refridgerated. There was never a problem or a delay in putting in and taking out bottles. However I found the room a little bit dark and dreary and the dinner menu included in the package was also very limited. The location of the Arbutus in the centre of KIllarney was a huge advantage but you had to leave your car in a public car park, which although was very near the hotel was a major inconvenience running out to put tickets on it and having to know what times exactly you were coming and going.

comments The arbutus hotel is a well run hotel, the rooms are very comfortable, the food at the hotel is excellent. The staff are very helpful and take the time to speak to the guests. I would like to point out Betty the lady in the restaurant for special praise as she is excellent with customers and is genuinely interested in making sure that that you feel welcome. An excellent relaxing experience

comments Hotel is situated in the heart of Killarney providing guests with easy access to the town. The hotel is exclusively furnished with antique pieces and makes for the perfect retreat. The Hotel is cosy, fab guest rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Guests can enjoy a delicious hot breakfast every morning and evening meals are excellent value too. I would highly recommend the Arbutus Hotel for a great break/holiday, and I will be back again.

comments The Hotel is pretty basic, but the rooms have been modernised to an acceptable standard. The staff are extremly pleasant and efficent. The breakfast menu is excellent, however, the dinner menu is unimaginative.

comments Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although dinner was part of the package and we were there for three nights the dining room did not open until Friday. Dinner on the Friday night was a terrible disappointment. Breakfast was very good quality but not so the dinner. 2 doors down is the Lord Kenmare restaurant. We had the early bird menu and it cost approx 25 a head. It was the best meal we had during our entire hol in the Cork Kerry area, would highly recommend and will definately be returning. Arbutus was so nice, pity the dinner let it down or I would have given it a 5 rating

comments The Arbutus hotel is an expierance never to be forgotten.The staff were so friendly and kind.The rooms were clean and warm.when you walked into the bar you were treated like one of the locals everyone had a kind word and a smile. The food was fantastic with breakfast being an expierance not to be forgotten.Mrs Buckley can be so proud of her hotel and her staff.We will definatly be returning.
