	Very good value for your money. Rooms clean,comfortable and spacious. Very conveniently located in Tralee. Lovely breakfast. Most staff were friendly and courteous. Would stay in Abbeygate hotel.

	very satisfied with every thing we even wanted to stay an extra night, but they had a full hse, our 10yr old and 6yr old did'nt want to leave, all the staff were more then helpful and very friendly. the ladies on the reception desk were lovely very friendly. we will go back there again next year.

	We stayed for a short midweek break in July. The Abbey Gates was perfect for our needs; clean, organised, homely, central, with friendly caring staff; and the food was good too. Great value for money.

	Booked 10 people into The Abbeygate Hotel for a one night stay and the hotel was very reasonable priced and idealy located.I would go back no problem.

	the was very nice and the hotel was lovely. The staff were brilliant......apart from a really rude night porter on the night of the 26th after the hotel was closed. Sorry but it is his job to let the guests in after hours without rudeness or in a inappropriate manner.

On booking the Abbey Gate Hotel, I had checked out your website, which I was very impressed about, due mainly to the extensive menu available. After traveling from Dublin that evening I was looking forward to an enjoyable meal, however this menu and even the restaurant were not available to us, only a very limited menu in the bar. On reflection had I known that this was the situation, I would have probably choosen somewhere else to stay, as the Hotel seems to be set up for Tour Guests only rather than business travellers. On the positive side, I found all you staff extremely friendly and helpful. I hope that you find my comments constructive. Thanks and regards Peter

Was really disappointed with the Abbey Gate, I was aware of its reputation from reading other customer reviews so my expectations were already low. *Waited 10 minutes on my own in reception, no one behind the desk, most of the lights were off so it was dark, ended up ringing the hotel from my mobile. *was checken in by a barman i think, he came from that direction after i had called the hotels number. *He wasn't sure if the hotel had my credit card number. *When i csked to pay, he didn't know the balance of my bill *he had to find someone else to tell me the outstanding balance...even more delays, 20 minutes waiting to check in *was then over charged as my booking deposit wasn't taken off *was never told directions to my room, never told breakfast times or location of restaurant. *bedroom was freezing really poorly run. dont show my name as i'm a hotel General Manager myself.

	The lady that booked the guys in, was also cooking in the kitchen and trying to run the bar. She was not very approachable to say the least, and my guys said they felt like they were disturbing her if they wanted a drink.

	Parking a problem. Arrive after 6.00pm if possible as locals appear to use the spaces allocated. Hotel used by bus parties so felt we were not really expected

	Very good price and quality location. Hotel must advise location of multi storey car park adjacent to tesco 4 euro per 24 hours when checking in as hotel car parking is always full

Receptionist seemed to have great difficulty in finding my booking details but eventually did.Rooms while clean were basic and could do with a freshening up. Breakfast was chaos, I had to eat at a table covered in dirty dishes - the waitress wiped way crumbs with a napkin - the breakfast was pretty unspectacular. Evening meal however was pleasant. A hotel of this size needs a secure carpark and opposed to the dozen or so designated parking spaces on the street outside

	The Hotel was lovely and the staff were so nice. It was my second time to stay in the hotel and it was a delight. I would recommend it to anyone.

we had ameal booked for the sat nite we were there and found the staff werent great.. our order came wrong twice and the third time it arrived the waitress spilled my parnters dink all over him.. would not recomend a stay here a the rooms were very basic ad the room service is not 24hrs as stated as when i arrived i could even get an ironing board bought to my room until the next day.. our room wasnt tidied and when they did do it they forgot to leave clean towels and no fresh milk of coffee!!

	hotel was clean,staff friendly and good location, poor parking and difficult to sleep due to noise from plumbing , everytime someone flushed their toliet there was a banging noise in the bathroom.

The hotel itself was nice, lovely and clean food was lovely but the service in the morning for breakfast wasn't great don't be in too much of a hurry to eat as we were left waiting 45 minutes for our breakfast. The dinner in the restaurant was lovely can't complain about that but the managment staff have no clue. They were all over the place and before checking out make sure to check your bill as they tried to charge us for things we did'nt even get. We would definietly go back to tralee but we won't be staying in the Abbey Gate Hotel.

	a bit hard to find. its in a quiet location and really cosy once you get inside and the staff is really nice and helpfull in case you need something. ideal for couples, we enjoyed our stay.

	The Abbey Gate Hotel is situated in a brilliant location and is well maintained. Staff were very helpful although due to a shortage of staff in the breakfast room the customer care was considerably lacking. Although it has the potential to be much more superior I would certainly recommend it to anybody wishing to explore Tralee and the beautiful surrounding areas.

	the 1st night we were put in a room directly over the disco and with 2 small kids we did not get a wink of sleep, also I felt they could have been a little bit more kid friendly only had 2 high chairs and we have to wait until someone else had finished

We stayed for the June Bank Holiday weekend and although the hotel was extremely busy, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel had the atmosphere of a family run hotel with the professional attitude of a corporate chain. By the end of the weekend, we were on first name terms with the reception and bar staff! My only gripe was the dinner on Sunday evening. We booked dinner for 6:30pm and we did not get our main course until 8:00pm - they were extremely busy with 2 coach parties but as we had 2 young children with us, it was a small annoyance in an otherwise fantastic stay. It was also perfectly located for strolling around the town, being so central, and also only a short walking distance from the train and bus station.

	Breakfast was cold and the staff were not very helpful. Tables were not properly laid out for breakfast, more a case of a couple of large tables and people all sat together at these. Dinner was much better though in the restaurant.

	Good rooms and breakfast. Dinner in the Bistro was disappointing. Also one night the night porter was slow in answering the door and assumed guest would have a mobile phone with them - which we did - but still slow.
