Established in 1887, the Central Hotel Dublin is a very elegant, charming 3-star hotel located in Dublin City Centre just off Grafton Street. The hotel provides all modern comforts and services while retaining its traditional elegance and style. Central Hotel offers 76 En suite guest rooms, hotel's restaurant, bars and private dining facilities. Situated one block from Trinity College, Temple Bar, Grafton Street and Dublin Castle. The Library bar was voted No 1 pub for Guinness in Dublin by a major travel company in 2010.
The Central Hotel Dublin is steeped in Irish Culture, it is quite different to the newer hotels in the city.
The hotel does serve breakfast in the dining room each morning, however the hotel does not have a restaurant. Being so centrally located there are at least 20 restaurants of all types from Japanese, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Traditional Irish, Sushi and more within a 2 minute walk of the hotel.
Accommodation:
Central Hotel offers 76 guest rooms & suites, all En suite, with custom-designed Irish furnishings throughout. All guest rooms are equipped with the following facilities:
The Library Bar: at The Central Hotel combines the charm and elegance of a bygone age with the most modern facilities and services. Tucked away on the first floor, the Library Bar is a haven of peaceful luxury. The welcoming atmosphere and the fine furnishings make it a popular venue for daytime business meetings, morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks, and even a nightcap before retiring.
No wonder people who love the library Bar are trying to keep it a secret for the fear it will become overrun! Enjoy a glass or two of Dublin's famous brew Guinness or a Jameson on the rocks, or for the Ladies a nice shot of Baileys. After shopping at nearby Brown Thomas on Grafton it is the ideal venue to unwind. Going to the Theatres nearby, drop in for a relaxing aperitif. The Library bar was voted No 1 pub for Guinness in Dublin by a major travel company in 2010.
Exchequer Bar is on the ground floor with a seperate entrance than that of the hotel and serves some light bites during the day and early evening.
