Markree Castle Homefarm Cottages are located in Markree Estate, close to the historic Markree Castle, 9km from Sligo City. There are 7 luxuriously appointed one, two or three-bedroom apartments set around the original 18th century courtyards over two floors. Located in the idyllic countryside Markree Castle Homefarm Cottages are an ideal base for the history or nature lover, perfect for walking or cycling.

Accommodation:
Markree Castle Homefarm Cottages consist of 7 luxuriously furnished and decorated to the highest standard cottages. Available for weekend breaks, midweek getaways or for weekly/longer stays. The 4-star cottages are 2 storey with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. All the cottages are luxuriously appointed featuring the following amenities:

• Fully equipped kitchen with oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer.
• Electric heating throughout.
• Spacious lounge/dining area with French windows.
• French doors opening either onto the gardens or riverside.
• Bed linen and towels supplied.
• Complimentary use of Spa with Hot Tub and Sauna.
• Tranquil walled gardens with patio area and private barbeque.
• Specially fitted ground floor apartment for guests with disabilities also available.

One Bedroom Cottage - sleeps 2 people
Comfortably spacious, these cottages comprise private bedroom, kitchen and Lounge/ dining area.

Two Bedroom Cottage- sleeps 4 people
These spacious cottages feature two private bedrooms, exceptionally spacious kitchen and lounge/dining area.

Three Bedroom Cottage - sleeps 6 people if required. Our largest accommodation offers three private bedrooms, spacious kitchen and lounge/ dining area and an open fireplace.

Optional Extras for a small charge:

• Breakfast provisions can be supplied.
• Welcome pack with daily delivery newspapers and fresh towels.

Cancellations should be made directly to Markree Castle Homefarm Cottages. Where a booking fee/deposit has been paid, this will be non-refundable.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

• More than 8 weeks' notice- full refund
• 6-8 weeks' notice- 75% refund
• 4-6 weeks' notice- 50% refund
• Less than 4 weeks' notice- no refund

Terms & Conditions:

• Check-in is after 3 p.m. Check-out is before 11 a.m. Guests may be liable for time over-stayed.
• Due to fire regulations, the maximum capacity for a one bedroom cottage is 2 people, for a two bedroom it is 4 people and for a three bedroom cottage it is 6 people. The maximum capacity for the Granary is 9 people. Should the number of guests staying in any cottage exceed the number of guests specified by the client when booking, the reservation may be cancelled at the discretion of the managment.
• All bedclothes and towels are supplied.
• Guests may be liable for any loss or damage, accidental or otherwise, of any property or structure. Any such charges will be billed to the confirming card. We ask that you notify us of any accidental breakages or other damage incurred. Loss of cottage keys will incur a charge of 50 Euro per key.
• Pets are allowed and you are welcome to walk your pets in the gardens and on the Castle grounds. We ask, however, that guests clean up after their pets.
• If a booking is not cancelled and the guest fails to turn up, the full charge for the entire stay will be made to the confirming card.
• Markree Castle and Markree Castle Homefarm are not liable for any loss or damage of the clients' valuables or property during their stay.
• Please be aware that in the majority of cottages the living area is upstairs. Please let us know if you have any problems with mobility or of you require a baby gate.
• Meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner) are available at Markree Castle. Please enquire in advance as these are subject to availability. There are special rates available for guests of Markree Castle Homefarm.
