Location: These self catering holiday homes in Bundoran are 1km from town. They have views of the Blue Stack Mountains, are adjacent to Bundoran Golf Club and just a short stroll from white sands and great surf of Tullan Strand.
Bundoran is a traditional seaside resort and great destination for a family holiday. There is a good choice of places to eat, lively entertainment in the bars and hotels, amusement arcades, a public playground and an aqua park. Water World is a large indoor aqua park with water slides, rapids and waves. For adults there is a coffee shop, sauna, steam room and seaweed wraps.
In recent years Bundoran has become a great favourite with surfers. There are a number of schools and equipment suppliers. Turf n Surf Surf School, Bundoran Surf Co. and Donegal Adventure Centre offer lessons for all levels as well as equipment hire. In addition to surfing, there are plenty of other outdoor activities available in the area ranging from hiking and cliff top walks to trekking along the beach to cycling (with bicycles available for hire in the town).
This part of Co. Donegal is remarkably scenic with plenty of areas of interest to explore. The nearby Blue Stack Mountains, the dramatic coastline and Glenvaegh National Park all offer stunning walks of varying difficulty and length. The National Park is well worth a visit covering some 16,000 hectares which include the Glenveagh Estate, Derryveagh Mountainsand Lough Veagh. It is also home to Ireland’s largest herd of red deer. The Slieve League Cliffs are can also be found in this part of Ireland. They are the sixth highest sea cliffs in Europe and are just as spectacular as theCliffs of Moher.
